We can all play a part in helping this asset grow. I'm not saying we are gonna make it mainstream or drive the price to $50 by ourselves, but getting this thing more exposure will only help it. Tell other people about it in real life. Post articles in other related suubreddits. Share information on social media. I got a few of my friends who otherwise wouldn't have known about it to invest. Again, we aren't gonna send this thing to the moon by ourselves, but we can certainly help it gain some traction.

    It's funny how...

    Posted: 15 Dec 2017 10:01 AM PST

At least 6-8 months ago I was going off about Ripple to all my friends and family and NO ONE did a thing about it... and all wrote it off as if it wasn't going anywhere as it was sitting in the early 10's and 20's for a while...... and just like that I've had alot of them message me and say "OMG DID YOU SEE RIPPLE??!"... Uhh, yeah man, I did lol and I made sure I covered myself.

Now most of them are stuck in the "verification" process and "omg I am missing out" .... FOMO.

Anyone else have similar experiences with friends/family/coworkers etc?

Thank you to the Ripple community!

3 days ago I didn't know anything about Ripple and one.of my friends talked to me about it. I already held BTC, Ethereum and Litecoin so I read about Ripple and I'm now a proud owner and supporter of Ripple.

In turn, I also talked about it to another friend and help him get started since he had never invested in crypto.

I want to thank this subreddit because it was really helpful and it's heartwarming to see that you guys are so nice, friendly and welcoming.

I spend a lot of time on /r/Bitcoin and it can be extremely toxic.

Your sub is a breath of fresh air.

Thanks again and good tidings in your future investments my dudes. 💙

    Hakuna Matata & Investing

    Posted: 15 Dec 2017 05:12 PM PST

Back in 09 i invested $5k in bio tech lost half and during that time it was extremely anxious i left the money in there and decided to step away and not worry about it

Have not invested since then until now, i now put in an amount that i can afford to lose, if i gain great and if i lose i WAS supposed to have been prepared

If i sell and later find out i could have made more profit, oh well, lesson learned

If i bought to high and it drops, well thats the nature of the game

Im not a whale so i cant control the market, and i chose not to allow things to make me anxious

Essentially i live by Hakuna Matata, things have happened and i cant do anything about it, i posted this because i have looked at many posts where people WISH they had done this or that but that will only make things worse and if you do things based on emotion rather than logic, mistakes will happen

I knew about bitcoin back in 14 but didnt understand it and chose not to mine or invest, could i be a millionaire now, yes thats a possibility, but that time has passed and i must think about things that can happen not things that have happened

What's the point of an individual owning Ripple?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2017 04:35 PM PST

Hi all, just wondering what the point is of an individual owning ripple. Isn't it an instrument for banks and large finance orgs? Why would an individual want to buy and own it? It's not like other cryptos right? Is it going to be a widely used coin, or only for the purpose of transactions between finance and banking?

Just kinda stuck on why people are buying it, if not only for the gains.

    Just Got In Woo!

    Posted: 15 Dec 2017 01:01 PM PST

    Hey Guys,

Just wanted to say thanks for turning me on to this awesome coin. I've been researching cryptos for about 3 weeks before diving in and have just purchased around 600$ of Ripple. Looking forward to moving to a wallet pretty soon and holding onto it as an investment. Here's to hoping it gets brought onto Coinbase soon which would hopefully result in a price bump. Regardless though I think this is going somewhere!

Am I the worst crypto investor ?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2017 12:54 PM PST

    Hey ppl !

In 2013 I sold my 198.9000 LTC for 703 USD. And I bought new computer. Now, I could buy a good flat in my country for that amount of LTC. Am I the stupid looser ? Ofc I am.

Anyway, today I bought some Ripple, and I'm sure I will keep it for few years at least.

    Happy investing too u guys!
