My student loans are now paid for

    Posted: 12 Dec 2017 06:08 PM PST

I originally invested $3700 with an average of $67 ish. I rode it all the way down and HODL'd at $38 in August. Today woke up and while laying in bed cashed out $19,900 worth. Student loans were $16K so I got my original investment back and plus enough to treat my girlfriend to a nice dinner - Cracker Barrel ha! Was a wild ride. Good luck to you all. Wish nothing but the best.

    IM DEBT FREE!!!

    Edit:

Still have less than 10 coins in for tax purposes.

What you are seeing right now is the start or the middle of a complete correction for all cryptocurrencies. Don't panic!

    Posted: 13 Dec 2017 10:33 AM PST

Total Market Cap of Crypto has already dropped over 20-30 Billion Dollars. You must understand that this is extremely important and healthy for a market, that was very bullish in the few days. Be happy with the coins you have, do not panic sell. The market will go up again eventually. If you have money left, I personally, and ofc this is no financial advice, invest in a few hours, if the market keeps correcting._ Dont Panic guys! Keep Calm and HODL =) Piece

Small global dip in cryptos: don't panic, hold, buy the dip. Litecoin will come back soon.

    Posted: 13 Dec 2017 11:00 AM PST

Don't worry. Keep calm. Litecoin is NOT sinking. Nearly 40 billions were out of cryptos in the last few hours, after 100 billions were in these last days. All cryptos are losing a bit, from bitcoin to the smallest and newest. Like they happen with normal coins, corrections happen to market cap too. This is a great time to buy your favourite altcoins and Litecoin too, because in the next rush it's going to jump way over this levels. As I already said: Relax, chill, don't panic sell. Buy small amounts along the dip and when you think the dip is over put the last money you have spare. Future is bright, market is still young, cryptos have a lot of potential.

P.s. Last time I made a 3d similar to this LTC was at 125. Jumped to 300 the following 48 hours.

Noob Question: is it safe to leave my Litecoin on Coinbase?

    Posted: 13 Dec 2017 04:56 AM PST

New to LTC. Purchased $3,000 worth a few days ago and have been contemplating whether or not I need to buy a trezor or ledger, is it safe to just leave the LTC sitting in Coinbase or are one of these wallets a must?

PSA: Remember ALL Tax Implications (Including Losses)

    Posted: 13 Dec 2017 10:19 AM PST

I see a lot of posts about S/T and L/T gains and for people to pay their taxes. I have not seen much discussion about people reporting their losses as well. In a nutshell, in the U.S. at least, your losses help offset your gains. If your losses are more than your gains, you may also deduct upwards of $3,000 from your other income such as your W2 (Job Wages). If your losses are still not fully accounted for, you can carry those losses to future years.

As we grow, remember one of the most important investment advice by Warren Buffet.

    Posted: 13 Dec 2017 09:49 AM PST

"Never invest in a business you cannot understand." This is getting more and more relevant in the cryptocurrency world as we are getting an influx of investors on a daily basis, from young to old. A lot of people are jumping on the speculative bandwagon for the fear of missing out, without knowing what the technology does or how it will impact the future.

My advice for everybody joining is to understand the concept of the decentralized blockchain technology and how it helps in making sure you and only you have total control over your money. It's also important to understand the trade offs for getting this control, such as the reduction in transaction speeds (block confirmation time/processing time), transaction costs, seemingly complicated user experience for a new user (it gets easier), scalability aspect of this technology. Some of these are advanced topics and can be read about as you get comfortable with the technology.

Please, do know what you are dealing with before you dive in. Knowing that you have invested in a powerful asset in its early stages will make you less restless at night.

    Posted: 12 Dec 2017 11:51 PM PST

New to Crypto/Lite coin? it's not just an investment. It can change the world.

    Posted: 13 Dec 2017 08:05 AM PST

I love that litecoin is going up in price, but I'm worried it's for the wrong reasons.

Crypto is a new mindset, a global (potentially) changing monetary system that frees us from banks and lets us control our own money. You can carry millions of 'dollars', or without being mugged. you can send millions across a country to different countries without huge fees or government involvement.

Coins are meant to be used, spent, and not just hold. If everyone is buying just to hold and not understanding how to store, run a node, mine, it worries me. This SCREAMS bubble, when grandma is giving money to invest with no intention of using it, or storing it herself. When it hits a certain return, grandma is cashing out. Just driving the price up.

People people, start using litecoin to buy things. Use it for your businesses, ask businesses to take it. If you owe your friend money? Send him litecoin. Change your way of thinking, your way of life.

Bitcoin could potentially die one day because it is no longer functional to use fur purchases due to high cost, and time to process. Hopefully they fix this, but litecoin is already functional as is.
