To Poloniex - are you planning to hold our money hostage?

    Posted: 28 Dec 2017 08:08 AM PST

And there it is - Poloniex just released a press release saying they will require everyone to verify.

I obviously have problems with exchanges collecting tons of KYC and AML personal info for hackers to peruse as they see fit. Bitcoin exchanges are prime targets for hacking and if Bitcoin exchange hasn't been hacked, it's likely it wasn't around for long. Poloniex has been here for some time, and they have been hacked before.

I do understand their position and have no problem with them following regulations. Personally, I'm a shareholder in one of the major Bitcoin exchanges, with full KYC&AML including full tax reporting to my government, but I don't leave my KYC&AML info even to the exchange I own.

The issue with Poloniex is that they insist on relatively small withdrawal limits ($2k daily) for ALL currencies including crypto, as this basically leaves anyone with crypto holdings above $2k * days-until-deadline in a position to either verify or leave money on Poloniex.

Poloniex - let us take our money and leave. Remove withdrawal limits for crypto, at least until the deadline.

P.S. I'd contact Poloniex directly, but my last support ticket from

Bittrex not working for anyone else?

    Posted: 28 Dec 2017 05:27 AM PST

None of the values are populating for me, https://bittrex.com/Home/Markets is just the headers/columns with no coins. It says 0 volume for BTC and ETH at the bottom of the screen but the price of BTC is changing. I really need to trade a few things this morning! Help!

Changing primary USD account in GDAX/Coinbase

    Posted: 28 Dec 2017 09:00 AM PST

Hi all, I'm looking to buy some coin from GDAX using my credit card, but unfortunately I have 2 USD accounts linked in my coinbase and it looks like my bank account is set as my primary. When I purchase I would like it go through my credit card instead of my bank account, is there any way to change this?

    Thank you!

    Accounting for commissions/fees on Blockfolio?

    Posted: 28 Dec 2017 08:51 AM PST

Anyone have a workaround here? You can add your sells to your balances but it doesn't account for fees or commissions. Should I just add the balances and then sell the commision to USD for $0 or some fuckery? It's the next feature they need to add imo.

Bitcoin and alt coins prediction platform. Thanks /r/bitcoinmarkets for feedback 2 months ago!

    Posted: 28 Dec 2017 08:13 AM PST

    Hey guys!

This is follow up on https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/comments/78hj6o/bitcoin_and_alt_coins_predictions_platform_that/

After posting my platform https://cryptoestimator.com/ to /r/BitcoinMarkets I have received a lot of great feedback and support. I want to say big thanks to following users:

    /u/TwoWeeksFromNow /u/pakras /u/Neocruiser /u/th1nkpatriot

Their input allowed to improve the platform a lot! To start with platform only allowed to set a fixed price for a fixed date and that was a critical mistake. With crypto volatility, it was almost impossible to get good accuracy, therefore, the statistic itself became redundant.

Taking /u/pacras advice I came up with different idea for prediction creation Instead of letting the user set only final price for a specific date, now user can select timeframe and price points for selected timeframe which generates draggable price points on the graph, this way user can create more complex prediction indicating ups and downs for the specific time period.

When time goes by user prediction is checked against historical price data. Based on each two points direction system sees whenever price increase or decrease is predicted. In case if the increase was predicted, the historical price has to be more or equal than predicted price to credit 100% accuracy for given point and vice-versa with decrease.

I was amazed how well I was able to improve the platform simply based on user feedback, therefore I would like you guys to give me, even more, feedback and I promise to listen and improve accordingly.

Anyone else having problems with getting Kraken to verify withdrawal address?

    Posted: 28 Dec 2017 07:40 AM PST

I'm desperately trying to get my BTC out of Kraken and into my own wallet since there's a fork coming. But it's been a while and I removed the old (empty) wallet so I created a new one. However when I add a new address for withdrawal in Kraken I need to authorize it - however that isn't possible. I get a "code expired" message. And ofc Kraken isn't responding...

How Volume to Market Cap ratio affect your decision when trading cryptocurrencies?

    Posted: 28 Dec 2017 07:25 AM PST

LTC/BTC and BCH/BTC parity the last several days has been pretty interesting to watch.

    Posted: 28 Dec 2017 07:23 AM PST

I think if bitcoin continues this sideways channel for the next several weeks, I could see both of those alts ballon for a bit of time before coming back down to reality when the bitcoin market finally desires that BTC is, was and will always be KING and the price pops on some LN news.

    Mt.Gox crash ~2010

    Posted: 28 Dec 2017 06:54 AM PST

Bought two coins in college ($30 USD a piece), traded over Mt.Gox (back in the day it was the cutting edge). The server had a huge security leak, the domain I traded on was dead for a bit. They had a "retrieve my info" phase but I think the sheer amount of users versus the admins made it a pretty moot effort.

Anyone else trade with Mr.Gox? I have the same PayPal I transferred with and emails confirming b/s API.

Poloniex high bitcoin lending rates - major movement expected?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2017 04:50 PM PST

I've noticed that BTC lending rates spike tremendously whenever a large movement in price is expected by the market. The lending rates are usually .008% or so - right now, they're sitting at nearly .5% (for a 2-day loan). Any thoughts?
