    Investor Exhaustion

    Posted: 30 Dec 2017 07:23 AM PST

These constant flash drops and overall trending downturn is causing margin liquidations and overall market exhaustion. Order books are paper thin. You can sense that new money is not confident in an upswing, eventually people will get tired of it and sell.

Whom ever is making a fortune liquidating people is going to eventually crash the market. The new money maker is margin liquidations and not price rise.

Dipping Bitcoin again? Is this the 11k drop we've been waiting for?

    Posted: 30 Dec 2017 09:20 AM PST

This kind of looks like the 3rd dip in the head and shoulder pattern, usually this happens at the end of the year.

Does anyone foresee the BTC price sliding even further as more speculative investment money flows into the alts?

Tired of the rude "financial experts" here

    Posted: 30 Dec 2017 06:27 AM PST

So, I have been seeing lots of posts saying how to invest, what to do, predictions and more. Keep in mind that anyone, anyone, can give financial advise, it is up to you if you believe it or not because of that guy's experience/knowledge. It is ok to make predictions and helpful posts, but if you are trying to point something saying "normie", "guaranteed", etc, read again your post, that isn't the way to do things. We all have our experience and almost all of us want to learn more about this awesome world, but, that doesn't mean that you can talk like we were all freaking idiots. Just wanted to vent this off my chest. Good luck and enjoy new years eve :)

Your Daily Moon Math - 2017-12-29

    Posted: 29 Dec 2017 12:00 PM PST

Go to http://MoonMath.Win for the full update and rainbow charts

Thanks for waiting so long between updates. I Haven't got automatic updating completed, just yet. The server I want to deploy from is running python 3.5 and I'm building with python 3.6. There seem to be some ordering issues that that will probably be resolved if I move one of the data structures to an ordered dict. Haven't even started to debug it, so that will happen on its own time.

Local Bitcoin global daily volume is continuing to set records. That's significant because it represents a market that's distinct from the speculation we see on exchanges. I've long considered local bitcoins a primary indicator for bitcoin adoption. Those users are truly using the protocol as it was intended, instead of a purely speculative short-term investment.

Digital Gold: Bitcoin and the Inside Story of the Misfits and Millionaires Trying to Reinvent Money is well worth the read, especially if you've only been in this space for a year or two, or if you're not sure who the major players in the industry are. The stories of the actors in this field are well told, just brief enough, and compelling. OG Bitcoiners will feel nostalgic throughout. Brought back a lot of memories for me. Read it. Just do it. Do it. Do it now.

What exchanges are you using? (Noob)

    Posted: 30 Dec 2017 07:29 AM PST

What exchanges are you using? What do you like/dislike about them?

I just recently jumped into cryptos and started with GDAX and coinbase accounts. These are fantastic trainingwheels, but they only have 4 coins.

Bittrex and Bitfinex aren't taking on new accounts. I've been on cryptocompare for a few days and it seems like most people are experiencing the same problems across many exchanges- sluggishness, completely unable to withdraw, and many times outrageously high fees.

Also, I'm in the US. Should I expect any surprises if I use a foreign exchange?

    Thanks!

Why do so few exchanges trade against other pairs than BTC when almost everyone is using another coin, usually LTC, to move between exchanges?

any website showing price difference graph between 2 exchanges?

    Posted: 29 Dec 2017 04:14 PM PST

Just wondering if there is any website that shows you a chart of the price difference between 2 exchanges throughout the day? I am looking at Gemini & Quoine. Thanks in advance!

How are you supposed to read the bithumb market price listings?

    Posted: 29 Dec 2017 01:23 PM PST

Just looking at their XRP price books right now and I can't make any sense of it.

How could there be sell and buy orders at the exact same price? Are they just cutting off a few decimal places that you can't see for whatever reason?

And if there is so much volume on bithumb, how has the price stayed stagnant for 20 minutes now at 2.62?

screenshot of the book in question for reference: https://image.ibb.co/kHhwMb/screen.png

(imgur.com isn't allowing me to upload for some reason right now?!)

    HitBTC blocking transfers

    Posted: 29 Dec 2017 12:10 PM PST

Can anyone help me get my coins or any sort of support from HitBTC? They're not letting me transfer any NEO in or out of my wallet. I've been in touch with support for over 2 weeks and keep getting a bullshit "were upgrading our system thanks for your patience" meanwhile my NEO has been completely frozen for almost a whole month and they never even sent a warning to users and there's no mention in any blog posts or anything about the "maintenance"

I can find no other hint of an issue when I Google so am I the only person with their NEO blocked? Every time I try to transfer between main/exchange accounts I get a "currency operations not available" error, and when I try to deposit/withdraw I just get a grey bubble saying "unavailable." No word of a timeline on when upgrades will be done.

Something feels horribly wrong and I don't know what to do.
