Posted: 25 Dec 2017 04:42 AM PST I can't stress this enough. Just because this guy is a computer programmer and has made lots of money in the past does not make him an expert at all. He's been doing TV interviews saying that bitcoin will go past half a million while in the same interview saying he makes money from his mining company. It's in his best interest to say outrageous shit that makes the news waves like "eating his own dick" if he's wrong. He's making money regardless of what Bitcoin is. This guy has mastered playing the media like a puppet for attention. And he's a piece of shit. Watch showtimes documentary on him to get you a real idea of who he is. tl;dr John McAfee wants to profit from claims that have no proof for his own greed. Do your own research. There are so many great YouTube channels that offer personal advice but suggest doing everything at your own free will. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTKyJALgd09WxZBuWVbZzXQ [link] [comments]

My LTC for XRB Order is Taking a Long Time to Fill. Why? Posted: 25 Dec 2017 06:37 PM PST I placed an order to buy XRB with LTC at BitGrail, and it didn't fill very quickly. I'm just surprised because usually any trades I place at places like Poloniex or GDAX fill relatively quickly (if I'm on the right side of the trend). Is this just a very slow and infrequent trade pair at the moment? Edit: Ooh! What flair should I give this post? Edit 2: How did flair appear?! I don't think I added that. [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Dec 2017 07:56 PM PST So I put some Xmas money in a american express prepaid card and wanted to buy some coin to start off? Am I going to have to make a bank account? Coinbase is telling me I need either visa or master card, could I get a prepaid one of those I guess or should I just open a bank account for This? And if I do could I use a savings so that I could avoid fees? Also are there other options for where i could start off? [link] [comments]
How risky is it to not have the big coins in your portfolio? (BTC,BCH,ETH,LTC) Posted: 25 Dec 2017 09:02 PM PST If my portfolio is all coins besides these, how risky is it compared to having a majority be in one of these coins. I do have about 1/3 in ripple, but the rest is in coins outside the top 10 [link] [comments]
My "Cryptocurrency Price Tracker" Extension for Chrome Browser is Updated Posted: 25 Dec 2017 12:33 PM PST Hi, I published similar post in another subreddit, but also want to inform you about it. Before few months I have created extension for Chrome browser called Cryptocurrency price tracker. First, I created it for myself when I was entering "cryptocurrency world". I used it for for some time and then I decided to publish it on Chrome store. To be honest, I didn't expected that it will have more than 5k users that fast. I am very happy because of that as it shows that many people find it useful. I give my best to respond to every person who have some suggestion and over time extension started to look much better than it was when I first time publish it. Before few days I pushed big update. It doesn't bring many new things, but 70% of code is changed and it will allows adding new futures very easy in comper to how it was before. Code is also optimized, so extension now works much faster. Many users requested "price alerts" and that is most important in this update. I am also planning to add portfolio option in the future. I have tested this new version, but it may happen that you find some bug. If that is the case, please inform me about that so I can fix it. For some things, you would need to wait next update, so that changes can be applied. That is because I limited number of HTTP request. I put a lot of effort into this extension and I will keep developing it in the future so it should be much better than it's now. If you find it useful, please consider donating: BTC: 17ttJNwGRmJiS5eCae1yCeWfxUG5D7o1CP ETH: 0x82b1cE1524dFD268ACc562839Ea0709EC0b68020 BCH: 12DiUvVY41UtRXDz4UH43q8NPuwgFoC93c LTC: LS1VY3LqNkTqNxR9YtRkaCx8tnvbh4kaUA [link] [comments]

How to deal with fomo feelings? And how to stop yourself from overdiversifying? Posted: 25 Dec 2017 01:00 PM PST My current portfolio: 30% BTC 10% ETH 5% LTC The rest is spread between the following: TRX SUB REQ WABI POWR QSP My plan was to buy and simply hold the portfolio for about a year, then pull out the initial investement and redistribute. When I researched these coins they all seemed like good promising projects, and they still do. They've yielded growth for me so far but I'm still sitting with a bad feeling of FOMO because I want to get a foot in IOTA, ENJ, XRP and NEO as well. (And I suspect in a month's time there will be even more). But I also know that spreading it thin will probably make less return. When diversifying, how low of an investement do you guys feel is the "minimum" to make it worthwhile? How do YOU deal with the feelings of missing out? [link] [comments]

Auto-trading/Robo-trading, where to start? Posted: 25 Dec 2017 11:19 AM PST Hi there, Are there folks here who are using any frameworks for auto trading on any cryptomarket? If so, is that an open source software or something that you wrote yourself? I'm a programmer/dev with good years of experience in Ruby/JS/python (sorry no C/C++) and would like to try this with a small amount of cash to see how it does. But figured I might ask here to see how I can get started. Thanks. [link] [comments]

Posted: 25 Dec 2017 04:18 PM PST So let say I bought some Ripple with Eth, a few days later Ripple goes up by 20% and Eth goes up by 30%, if i trade Ripple back to Eth, i would actually lose rather than gain right? becaus the distance is further than when i purchased it. But if i want to trade the Ripple regardless because there is something else i want to invest in, in this situation should i trade with BTC or LTC instead depending on which one has been lower or gained less over the last X amount of days? is there a formula or site that can calculate the actual difference in lost or gain? I know optimal is to just wait until the coin that was purchased, in this example, Ripple, to go 50 or 100% or just higher than the Eth's growth. But let say that doesn't happen and I find a better opportunity else where. How would you calculate this? [link] [comments]
