Posted: 04 Dec 2017 07:34 AM PST Kraken is the worst experience I've ever had in my life. 2 weeks waiting for the wire transfer then 3 weeks of not being able to buy. Not sure if this is because I'm in Canada or just a crap exchange. They say they'll fix their website in the next week but I don't give a shit anymore, I'd lost out on potentially doubling my investment already because I've been waiting for a goddamn month. Seriously fuck Kraken, biggest headache and regrets in my life just sitting there and waiting for nothing to happen. Should've listened to previous complaints about this incompetent exchange. Transferred to Quadriga and never going back to fucking Kraken. [link] [comments]

US Taxes on exchanging different cryptos? Posted: 04 Dec 2017 09:19 PM PST Do you have to pay taxes if you exchange one cryptocurrency for another? Let's say I use crypto X to buy crypto Y directly on an exchange. Do I have to convert the amount of X I used into fiat for my records and realize any gain/loss on crypto X which would be taxed as capital gains? Would this be the case if you were to use a mainstream crypto like btc/eth/ltc to buy less mainstream cryptos each and every time? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]

Alright, tell me ALL about your "underrated, undervalued, under the radar" coins/tokens to me. Posted: 04 Dec 2017 04:10 AM PST Looking to put up 20% to the most reasonable one. But please do not tell me that your coin/token is anything worth while when only thing going for your coin/token is a concept. Tell me why it's unique, it has a bright future, and how much % you invest in it! EDIT: rip inbox [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Dec 2017 09:45 AM PST Not a collapse, regulations. Venezuela is launching their own crypto mainly to sidestep US sanctions. I am certain I am simplifying the country's motivation. However, what do you think the chances are western government's ban Cryptos? Will they only ban specific ones or will it be a blanket ban? What are you doing to prepare for this outside chance? Is this a non issue? I do think government's will continue to move in regulating this industry to a point where it becomes a burden to own cryptos over their fiat bullshit. Am I being crazy? In a what if scenario where a blanket ban is put in place what do you think the outcomes will be? What are some of the ways to avoid having to sell your Cryptos? VPN? Cold storage? Thanks in advance for your insights. [link] [comments]

Low-Cost Coins that are good at replacing Currencies? Posted: 04 Dec 2017 09:37 PM PST I've seen many coins go up that are strictly focused on being good at trading. Coins that have beneficial features as currencies tend to do the best out of what I've seen, so I'm looking for similar coins that are useful for trading. I'm not looking for coins that track bullets, allow voting, make health care cheaper, make me coffee, etc... I just want coins that are good at being used as currencies, nothing else. Many of the top coins do one or more of these things really well including trading quickly, private transactions, built-in contracts, and having a finite supply. There may be more things I've forgotten to list, but if you know of any low-cost coins that have any of these traits, please post about them below. [link] [comments]

What are some of the most promising ultra-low market cap coins? Posted: 04 Dec 2017 08:47 PM PST This was submitted 2 months ago by ThinkingPharm: "While they're risky bets, it seems like coins with ultra low-caps offer some of the best potential for exponential ROIs. What are some of the most promising coins out there that currently have low caps (with active dev teams, concise roadmaps, etc.) and are likely to amass much bigger marketcaps over time?" The coins that came from that post grew enormously since then. I'm hoping to create the same thing again with this post. PREFERABLY coins that are good as currencies and aren't trying to connect the blockchain to all sorts of different ideas. [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Dec 2017 08:28 AM PST Been trading and riding the waves this weekend, and I really want to know: How many of you are actual traders, in this I mean: have you actually quit your job to trade in crypto? I mean, this is a bullmarket, and it's almost impossible to lose money. I'm actually considering taking a 6 month leave from my job, just to daytrade. I made some serious bank this weekend, and I can't help but notice one simple fact: Every day I go into work, I lose money. I remember talking to a poker pro at some point in my life. He said something that latched itself onto my mind like fucking glue: Man, you don't just quit your job. I didn't start playing poker professionally after making abit of money. It was a gradual thing. I was hashing it out in my day-to-day job, getting back home, doing my usual things, then I went to play poker half the night. I started making some money, and before I knew it, I was making more money playing poker than I was staying at my actual job. After a few months of this, my girlfriend asked me why I was still going into work, and for the life of me, I didn't have an answer. The logical answer was, I needed to quit my job, and start taking poker seriously. I'm not saying I'm gonna quit my job, seeing as well, I don't like the idea of living on the streets. But for the life of me, I honestly don't know why I still keep going to work, even at my own companies. [link] [comments]
