Mercado Bitcoin (www.mercadobitcoin.com.br) is already trading BCH. I have just transferred an small amount received in tips and they accepted perfectly. Easy as 1,2,3 and cheaper than BTC. These are really good news.

My father in law is new to cryptos. Hes been buying up bitcoin. 2 weeks ago i told him that for the money, you might as well buy bitcoincash as its going to replace btc in the long run especially if btc doesnt get their shit together soon. So he traded for a few a bch and has been in my ear for 2 weeks straight asking why i think its better. It took him about a week but hes starting to see the light. I think the biggest enlightement moment was him making a transfer of btc to me and seeing that the fees were absurd. $32 tx fee! He was astounded. Then he made ANOTHER tranfer or more accurately tried to. He uses bread wallet and set the fee to like $0.32 and its been in an autofailed loop of not being processed and resending for over a week now lol.

As of today he has liquidated almost 80% of his btc and put it into bch. And hes happy. Now hes on a preaching rampage himself about btc and its massive shortcomings and bloated network, insane fees and the benefits of bch.

All aboard my friends, all aboard.

Why the Stagnant price the last few days?

The price has flatlined around 2800 for the last 3 days. Something rarely seen in Crypto. When looking at the 12 hour graph we did it bounce between 2800 - 2900, but zoom out to a week and its nearly flat.

Any reasoning for this? I understand now that BCH is tied to fiat through coinbase that price fluctuations in BTC won't affect it as much, but still..

Deja Vu...Bitcoin Cash mimicking Bitcoin in transaction speed?

This isn't the 1st time, actually the 3rd time in December 2017. At 1st, took half an hr to have 5 confirmations. In Dec 19, 2nd time took about 35 minutes to have 3 confirmation, then about hour ago, about 3:53 EST Dec 26, took 45 mins to get 3 confirmation? Is this normal or indeed BCH encountering same speed issue as BTC did? Slower and slower?

Bithumb's High Prices and Taking Advantage of It

Hey guys this is my first ever Reddit post so please go easy on me :)

I'm fairly new to the cryto scene, started investing 3 months ago, and I'm have a great time of it so far learning about each coin and figuring out which ones I think have the most potential. I fell in love with the concept of BCH and bought some a couple weeks ago.

I'm currently using Coinbase/GDAX and when I was looking at other exchanges I noticed just how insanely high Bithumb's prices are compared to all others. As of right now, GDAX values BCH at $2,821/BCH compared to Bithumb's $3,648/BCH. That's absolutely crazy!! I understand that Bithumb is more or less restricted to those with a Korean passport or Korean bank account and that they value all cryto at a much higher value than the rest of the world but that still blew my mind.

I guess my question is, if you, an American, had a Korean friend living in Korea, what's to stop you from buying cheap cryto on any other exchange, transferring it over to them and have them sell it on Bithumb and split the profits? I get that you'd be selling the crypto for Korean Won but couldn't that be easily exchanged at any bank for USD? Or is this some form of money-laundering? Not considering doing this right now but I was just curious if you guys had an answer!

Looking For Volunteers

I am looking for another 5 volunteers to help to test out a simple exchange for users to inter-exchange their coins safely in LocalBitcoinCash.org. It uses Bitcoin Cash as the base and I need help to check for bugs or if the trades are calculated accurately or any other bugs. You will be provided test accounts and filled with 1000 dummy BTC/ETH/BCH. To keep things simple, BCH can only inter-change with these 2 coins for this phase of testing but when it goes live, there should be many more coins supported.

Coinbase Never Received My Transfer from Bittrex

I shifted BCC from Bittrex to Coinbase 6 days ago. I made a small transfer to ensure the transfer would work, and the first trandfer went through. The second transaction (larger) says completed on Bittrex, it looks as if it is confirmed and completed in the ledger, but Coinbase never received anything. Nothing pending nothing at all on the Coinbase end. I've been reaching out to them daily for a response, and I have not heard a single thing. I think they lost my currency somehow, and it is making me lose faith in the efficacy of the currency. Anyone else have a similar issue? How did you get it solved?
