Posted: 21 Nov 2017 10:09 AM PST I live in Bentonville, Arkansas, birthplace of Walmart and the location of their headquarters. I have a few inside relationships with the upper echelons in the company and I want to talk to them about the implementation and utilization of XRP in their company. I recently saw an interview with Brad Garlinghouse and he breifly mentioned how companys like Walmart and Amazon can benefit from using XRP. I don't remember which interview it was but he didn't elaborate too much on the topic. I'm sure Ripple has a lot more pull than me and probably (hopefully) has already pitched the use of XRP to them, but it can't hurt for me to bring it up to my contacts inside the headquarters, as well. What I'm asking, though, is how would they use it and how would it save them money? And to what extent? I need the Ripple community here to give me some ammo to throw around in the conversation. Posted: 21 Nov 2017 05:49 AM PST I've read a fair amount about XRP in the past few months, and the overwhelming majority of the sentiment seems to be positive. While it is easy to see why people want to speculate a price of $20 or $30 in the next year, there has to be some downside risk associated with the currency. To be clear, I'm bullish on XRP but I would like to at least have a handle on what the risks are and what could cause it to severely drop in price in the coming months/years. What mistakes would the Ripple management team have to make for it to crash? What obstacles, if not cleared, would stop XRP dead in its tracks? Sorry to take away from the parade of positive posts, but I feel like a clear-headed look at the actual risk could do some good. [link] [comments]

Sending XRP from changelly to a nano ledger s Posted: 21 Nov 2017 09:06 PM PST anyone know if it is possible to transfer XRP from changelly to ledger nano S? planning to use coinbase to change BTC to XRP in changelly and wondering if I can send the XRP to a nano ledger directly. Thanks for any info. [link] [comments]
If you didn't expect a big correction after a big gain then you may not understand XRP Posted: 21 Nov 2017 12:28 PM PST This is a long-term play. Don't expect to get rich quick. If you're a day trader you'd have better luck elsewhere. XRP's growth will be very steady and stable. Small bumps like this will come and go along the way but won't last. Don't jump ship every time you see a dip. Stick with it. You'll be glad you did in a few years time. EDIT: You shouldn't expect XRP to 'moon' in a day. There are better options if your plan is to grow 10x overnight (or lose 10x overnight). This is what I meant by steering day traders away. [link] [comments]
PERFECT analogy to combat negative views about XRP not being 'needed' along with Ripple Posted: 21 Nov 2017 11:06 AM PST So let's say I am a company with manufacturing and distribution, so I need to get my materials from one factory to another. I COULD use FedEx, but aren't they just trucks? So I'll instead just build my own 'FedEx', hiring a bunch of guys and trucks to ship my packages, BOOM, saved myself some money. But oh wait, that would cost money to open another building, and hire people, and pay them, and buy trucks, and gas, and have safety checks and balances and insurance.... So maybe it IS more convenient and cost-effective to just hire FedEx. (In this analogy, FedEx is XRP) Why would a company go through all the trouble of making another FedEx instead of just using FedEx? Why would a bank go through all the trouble of making another XRP instead of just using XRP? [link] [comments]
I am new to this and sketched out that I will mess up putting the coins into a cold wallet somehow. Posted: 21 Nov 2017 03:56 PM PST I am very new to crypto, I plan on putting $100 into ripple every month and I want to keep it in a cold wallet but don't know where to even start, if I can screw it up somehow, what if the USB corrupts somehow. All these things sketch me out but keeping it online scares me too. Is it worth buying the Ledger Nano S? And will my ripple be safe online until it is delivered? Sorry for the questions I am just nervous I will screw something up or get stolen from. [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Nov 2017 02:40 PM PST Hello everyone, Noob here, but I have my ledger Nano s synced and the ripple wallet downloaded. I'm trying to transfer from bittrex into the wallet but it's not working. Any ideas? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Should I buy right now or later? Posted: 21 Nov 2017 07:41 AM PST Seems like this will be the next big thing. Should I buy ripple at the current price of $.24, looking to buy around 1000 XRP so about $250 USD. Trying to hold on to it until it goes to the Moon. So should I wait until it drops to like $.20-.21 or buy it now? [link] [comments]
I have a question about after escrow, could anyone answer me? Posted: 21 Nov 2017 06:05 PM PST Hi, I heard that after escrow, Ripple would sell its 1 million XRP(max) monthly not in the trading market but to the banks for example. But I am doubtful about one thing whether bank could sell their million XRP to the market? If they could do this, the total amount of trading XRP would be increasing as same as Ripple just sell their XRP to the market directly. In that way, my opinion is that when ripple sell those XRP to a company, there would be a contract not to sell in the trading market. Does anyone hear/know about these issue? thx for further information. [link] [comments]
