@JackMallers: I was able to sync a @lightning node with @roasbeef and @stile65 new light client on my iPhone! I put a little UI on it and paid a @bitrefill payment request from my phone over LN. Instant, frictionless, peer to peer, comparatively free digital payment from my cell phone! ⚡️

Me trying to get my friends to buy LTC before atomic swaps.

    Prepare for a dip

    Posted: 20 Nov 2017 09:16 AM PST

With cross-chain atomic swaps on the horizon and private transactions coming, it appears people are starting to move toward Litecoin. Within the next couple weeks, I predict the Jamie Dimons of the world to try and discredit Litecoin so they can get in on the action for a FUD-induced dip price. Just hodl on and buy the dip when it happens. ;-)

    Edit: Missed a word. :-P

    General warnings and (wise) tips.

    Posted: 20 Nov 2017 02:02 AM PST

The community is getting bigger and more dynamic and a lot of new investors and people are joining. I'd just like point out a few important rules for the new crypto investors.

-With Litecoin you become your own bank therefore keep less than 10% of your Lites on exchanges.

-Avoid at all costs TETHER. It is the most opaque asset ever. If you have it dump It ASAP!!

-Worship your key backups (or seed recoveries) like ancient reliquies or Leonardo paintings.

-Do not buy crypto with borrowed money and stay far from margin trading.

Feel free to complete the list. :)

P.s. I got involved in a few accidents in the last years (Crypsty ON TOP). I'd like you guys to avoid the same pains.

PRO TIP: Do not be a smart ass, HOLD!

    Posted: 20 Nov 2017 07:54 AM PST

Had 4 LTC's. As you probably know, this weekend some rise in the value happened.

I was being a smartass and sold/bought as the prices went up/down, to outsmart the system...

For the same € value, I now only have 3,5 LTC, so yeah...hold the coin.

    HOLD THE COIN

    Thoughts on a Recession.

    Posted: 20 Nov 2017 07:27 AM PST

So, we are due for a recession in the US (historically we go through one about every 10 years or so). People typically invest in gold during these downtimes. I'm thinking that at the current place we are at in the crytpo sphere, investors will move their money not as much to gold, but to digital assets.

Bitcoin was created after the last recession, so we've never seen what will happen to cryptos in that type of economy. This, plus the Litecoin Halving on 8/19, plus all the other positive things about LTC, have me all in. I think this combo of events will send it to the moon.

I'm no economist, but those are my predictions. Thoughts?

    Might have started something!

    Posted: 20 Nov 2017 09:56 AM PST

So im a crossfitter and have a great gym with great people. I talked to one of the members about btc and ltc months ago and today he mentioned the 8k price and said wished he invested when i told him when it was at 3k. My coach heard us and came over to join the convo. He said he tried to buy eth back in February thru coinbase but his bank froze his account then later suspended it. I noticed this was a common problem with new comers and banks . I asked him if he would accept ltc as payment so that way he can get started with something in his portfolio . He said he'd be down to do it but not just yet. I told him he'll be missing out again if he doesn't take this opportunity. Now he's looking into it!

Transfer ltc from paper wallet to coinbase

    Posted: 20 Nov 2017 09:32 AM PST

So from what ive read on here. Its not really a good idea to keep my litecoins on coinbase. So i made a paper wallet and transferred my litecoins into it. How can i put then back on coinbase when i decide to sell? Thanks in advance!

    Churning with Coinbase

    Posted: 20 Nov 2017 05:39 AM PST

I recently decided to invest in Litecoin through Coinbase. I was pleasantly surprised to see they take credit cards. I used my Southwest Airlines card and invested $3k, at the same time earning 3000 points. That's a sweet deal!

For the record I will pay the credit card in full next month. I'm not condoning investing in credit as that would be quite risky IMO.

Serious question: Wouldn't atomic swaps w/ Litecoin take away from one of Bitcoin's main appeals: scarcity?

    Posted: 20 Nov 2017 11:34 AM PST

Not trying to spread fud, just generally curious. Bitcoin is inflation resistant because it has a finite number of coins. If Litecoin and all of the other Segwit coins are used for lower tx fees instead of BTC, doesn't that essentially give BTC a limitless supply of coins to work with?
