Who the f. is buying Bitcoin Diamond? Posted: 25 Nov 2017 04:06 AM PST Atm on binance price already passed 100$ level and keep going higher. Mind you, if you had 1 btc you got 10 bitcoin diamond. (so effectively for every single btc you got a free 1k$) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Nov 2017 08:59 AM PST Do to technical issues I cant get in on this atm. However, on the waves dex, the US Dollar/Bitcoin pair, there is a sell order for 49 BTC @7500 USD. This is true currently at 10:40 AM CST. Which leads me to say, go buy some BTC for a 1000$ discount, or tell me why this is not a good thing. If you do end up being able to pick some up and feel generous, dont forget about me :) [link] [comments] |
Bitcoin New All Time Highs, Congrats! Posted: 25 Nov 2017 08:07 AM PST Apparently all the talk done around the Thanksgiving dinner table brought in FOMO money from the sidelines. And it's not even Christmas yet. [link] [comments] |
Who the f. is buying Bitcoin Cash? Posted: 25 Nov 2017 05:17 AM PST Have they ever heard of ETH? LTC? ZEC? XMR? The upcoming BTC forks? Do they know that Jan 1st is coming? What degree of cognitive dissonance is needed to support BCH but defame upcoming BTC forks providing increased utility & technical improvements? [link] [comments] |
Just a helpful tip considering all these gains Posted: 25 Nov 2017 10:10 AM PST If you have various forms of debt - credit cards, short-term loans, maybe even student loans... it might not be a bad idea to pay them down with some of the profits we just gained. You might also need to start putting money aside for taxes on any capital gains. That way, if your investments do go down significantly, you can at least say that you paid off the other debts so you'll be in a better financial situation overall plus you won't get in trouble with the IRS. To do this, what I suggest is that you pick a number. $5k, $10k, $25k, $50k, etc. Then, at the end of the month, anything over that you move back to your bank. Use that money to either pay down other debt and/or money that'll go to the IRS. It'll help you come tax time and just in case something bad happens to your investment, it won't all be for nothing. Posted: 25 Nov 2017 09:07 AM PST I have holdings across Bittrex (few alts), Gemini, and GDAX. I have a btc.com wallet, bread wallet, mycelium wallet. It's getting to the point that I cant keep up and I haven't switched my BTC around because ive been annoyed sending small amounts around and getting hit by transaction fees. Any suggestions guys? Efficiency of BTC vs everything else Posted: 24 Nov 2017 03:22 PM PST Maybe more of a rant than anything, but the practicality of transferring BTC to anywhere is very low compared to other crypto. For example, I sent some BTC and ETH today from Coinbase to Binance within a few minutes of each other. The BTC was first, but still hasn't even shown up as a confirm. Within a minute, the ETH showed a confirm, and another minute later, it was ready to use at Binance. I know most of the reasons why this is the case, and I'm not posting this to rip on OG BTC. But I do begin to fear that OG BTC will not be as efficient to use as other forks or coins unless something changes with the way transfers and confirms are treated. Said differently, OG BTC adoption broadly will be inhibited until efficiency ramps up greatly. Sorry for the rant. Still ❤️BTC and crypto. Just throwing my thoughts out there. [link] [comments] |
If you could make the perfect DEX... what would it have? Posted: 25 Nov 2017 04:50 AM PST I feel like there are so many exchanges for traders out there that are just pure garbage. The UIs are terrible, they lack a lot of functional tools, I feel worried about security issues/trusting servers (being here in Korea), and so many negatives. There are things I like about different exchanges, but nothing comes close to being ideal. If you had a picture perfect decentralized exchange what top 5 things would you say were most important to you and stand out from other exchanges? Do any exist yet that you think are perfect/near perfect? Please link me. [link] [comments] |
Great Price Action Across the Entire Crypto Complex Posted: 25 Nov 2017 07:58 AM PST A surge in Bitcoin, along with Ethereum and Litecoin is extremely bullish for all 3. Indicates new money coming in, rather than money being transferred between the 3. End of year price targets from Novogratz, Lee, and our own are looking more likely! [link] [comments] |
[Question] Most btc traders are burned in someway, now what? Posted: 25 Nov 2017 04:06 AM PST From my observations I can clearly see the most traders are burned with losses. Since 6000 levels the trader-hate against btc is grown. Compared to 1 to 3 months ago it is a dessert in btc-traders-land. There are good traders with huge profits too. After 6000 levels these trader are taking less risks and even not touching btc at all. I would do same if I had those insane profits. I personally was lacking at buying back on time and missed opportunities that could easily double my current position. So I am in a state of; not sure if I am happy with all this. For me currently, just like many other traders, altcoins are much more interesting with much more profit potential. When btc was hovering in 8000-8300 area I saw a nice grow in altcoin values. The developments from here on, how this plays out in practice? I wonder if the btc price will keep going up in slower pace or will it fall hard? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Nov 2017 06:58 AM PST Lately i've trying to understand what the true dollar cost of manipulating bitcoin would be given a lot of exchanges allow wash trades. Please poke holes into my theory: I grabbed the current ask orderbook from bitstamp. Summing up prices and quantities, it would take $78 million USD to chew through the orderbook up until the $9005/BTC level. However I wouldn't do it all at once. I would first place a bid to match the best ask, but at 3x the quantity. This would result in a trade, removing the best ask. Then, I would immediately sell back to myself, which results in another trade print to confirm the validity of the price level, and lets me end up with a flat position, but a there would still be a bid in place to maintain the price level. Then I would move on the next best ask. And keep executing this strategy until i have consumed all ask levels until $9005. I would have spent 0.25% * 2 * $78 million in fees = roughly $39k USD. Let's say i'm a whale who owns 100 BTC. If i'm successful in raising the price from $8600 to $9000 and having that price level stick, i've earned (9000/8600 - 1)8600100 = $40k USD from this operation. And the manipulation essentially pays for itself. Let's say I own 200 BTC. Then the profit is $41k USD. With exchanges allowing wash trades, how are we confident that the market prices reflect true supply and demand and won't crash? Also, with the upcoming bitcoin future, if a whale attempts this manipulation in reverse in an attempt to profit on the future, what will US financial regulators do ? Will they require largely unregulated exchanges to become regulated, disallow wash trades ? I'm very curious about what the future holds. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Nov 2017 02:47 AM PST Hey, Is there some sort of tracker where I can choose which coins to track, and how many of said coins I own, so i can see the worth in USD/EUR. And maybe a pie chart of all the coins in the total investment. Preferably in real time. Preferably free. Greets. [link] [comments] |
Rumor: Hedge Fund Whales to buy this weekend to load up for futures. Posted: 25 Nov 2017 01:48 AM PST |
Posted: 24 Nov 2017 02:58 PM PST Bitfinex and bitmex restrict US customers and cex.io doesn't allow margin trading for US customers. Gdax says it's got margin trading but it's not functional. Kraken is unreliable but if it's the only option then I guess I will have to use it. Thanks for your time. [link] [comments] |
Any index funds/sites I can deposit straight BTC/BCH/ETH without having to exchange for fiat? Posted: 24 Nov 2017 09:23 PM PST |
Liqui $50k daily withdrawal limit Posted: 24 Nov 2017 09:04 PM PST Starting today I notice that Liqui is limiting daily withdrawals to $50k worth of crypto. Does anyone know of a way to increase this limit? The message when you attempt to withdraw more than the limit reads: "Daily limit exceeded. Available to withdraw XXX.XX from 50000 USDT." What's the best low fee exchange? Posted: 24 Nov 2017 08:59 PM PST Haven't been day trading Bitcoin for a few years, and looking to get back in. Used to use btc-e.com but my confidence has wavered and don't really want to use wex for high volume. Does anyone have any recommendations? Not looking to arbitrage much, just wanting to buy and sell to the same exchange. Bonus points if it can handle ETH. Huge bonus points if it has stop loss features. [link] [comments] |
Auction for 2013 Casascius Coin at Bitcointalk Posted: 24 Nov 2017 05:04 PM PST |
Posted: 25 Nov 2017 04:36 AM PST Son of the btches, wtf is happening with eth? On other exchanges its 465-470, on bitmex its lost 4-5 positions and my positon liquidated, I think thats scam exchange and they are manipulate by eth futures. Give my money back fa*ots [link] [comments] |
Free B-gold profits, advice on alt-coins that I can "care" about. Posted: 24 Nov 2017 11:05 AM PST 1500 in BTG which I look at as completely free money. I'd like to invest in more than Bitcoin and Etherium, perhaps between either Golem, Ripple, Dash, Litecoin or Monero, but am less interested in profits (although this is the end goal, right?) and more interested in getting in on one or two that I have some passion for what they are trying to accomplish. Their mission. Anyone investing in coins that love the community/mission that they can get behind? [link] [comments] |
New Bitcoin Regulated US Exchanges Posted: 24 Nov 2017 04:23 PM PST Basically it seems Coinbase, Kraken, Bitstamp are all flooded with new accounts and facing huge wait times and bad support. I did some Googling and found these exchanges and wondering if anyone has any experience with them. Which one of these is likely to be the next Coinbase/Gemini ? [link] [comments] |
