I want to invest in IOTA but they are deleting my questions Posted: 26 Nov 2017 05:58 AM PST I have played around with iota wallet there were a lot of bugs and I was curious if I was doing something wrong. my following post was deleted: " IOTA wallets just feels buggy to me. Am I doing something wrong? I have just started experimenting with it and it just feels buggy and broken. I tried to get some iota from a faucet and it was a horrendous process. It didn't show up in my android wallet. After some time, multiple of them showing up. And then there is a 0 iota transaction pending. I tried sending some to my mac wallet. It's still pending and I don't get it. I want to invest but don't know if I will given the circumstances." so what is up with these unhelpful people? do you invest in iota? EDIT: After it blew up /u/eragmus retreived it back. It was said to be a "filter" but I received no automated messages whatsoever and /u/eragmus is accusing me of not being able to use reddit. Posted: 26 Nov 2017 02:42 PM PST Why are people still using the argument of the dot-com bubble being much higher in market cap (trillions) while cryptos are only in hundreds of billions as a reason why cryptos are not in a Bubble? Please look at this: http://www.businessinsider.com/bitcoin-price-bubble-in-4-charts-2017-11 "At the beginning of 2015, Bitcoin was trading just above $300. In early November this year, the Bitcoin price topped $7,600. That translates to returns north of 2,200% in a matter of 1,041 trading days. By comparison, the NASDAQ index was up 391% after 1,041 trading days from the start of 1995. Returns on the NASDAQ index peaked just shy of 1,100% after 1,326 trading days. Bitcoin's run has far outpaced the tech bubble, and its returns have already dwarfed dot-com mania." So it seems, it really is a very, very bad bubble that outcompetes with what we had during the dot-com boom. Google's IPO was $85 in 2004. Today it's $1,056. It took 13 years to 10x. And Google is exponentially more useful than Bitcoin. This is not healthy growth. It's speculative mania. Any counterarguments? [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Nov 2017 04:22 AM PST A long time ago a friend of mine introduced me to Bitcoin and I bought 6 of them for $50 a piece. When the price doubled I sold half and got my original investment out. Since then I've traded a little and lost some but ended up owning 1 physical Casascius Bitcoin and 55 DASH. I've held on to this amount for years now. I had some money saved up and quit my dead end job to finish studying for the CCNA exam and am now left wondering what to do with it. I currently have enough saved to live on for the next 6 months but I cant decide what to do with these coins? Any advice? I could sell them all, 15K each week till they were gone. I could sell all but 20%. I could sell all the DASH and keep the physical Bitcoin, which is hard to sell. I can't decide what to do. Each time I've sold a little I end up regretting it, but holding on to them makes me worry. That in six months they may no little value when I need them too. Of course, I should have the CCNA done and a new job by then. Any advice is appreciated. [link] [comments]

These two concepts don't make sense Posted: 26 Nov 2017 11:45 AM PST Ok guys I'm new to crypto trading. I only did a few trades so far (successful trades yeeey). I am learning new things every day, watching videos etc. Everybody (datadash, suppoman) says these two things: 1) Buy low, sell high 2) Use stop loss These two together don't make sense to me. For example lets say I buy 1 Monero for $160. The price goes down to $140. Why would I put a stop loss here? Instead I would rather buy more monero because the price is even better now (remember buy low, sell high). Maybe stoploss is a good strategy if you are day trading, but I don't see it as a good thing if you are investing. So how can I use the stop loss + buy low together? [link] [comments]

Beware of Gatehub-weak platform Posted: 26 Nov 2017 05:54 AM PST I have attempted to open and transfer a small amount of BTC to gatehub. A 1 hour transaction according to the gatehub website. My transaction has been fully confirmed for almost a day and yet my btc is still not in my wallet. After doing some research it seems many people have had the same problem. It is hard to track how many people get their issue resolved and how many are losing their currency permanently. They send emails telling you to "establish a trust line" which always seems to fail when you follow the instructions to do so. I would not recommend gatehub at this point. They need to fix their platform. [link] [comments]

Gatehub a Warning-Weak technology and platform Posted: 26 Nov 2017 06:16 AM PST I tried to transfer BTC from Coinbase to gatehub and after nearly 24 hours my money is still missing. The transfer has already been fully verified from what I can see, so it's just gatehub being a shit platform. They advertise a 1 hr transaction time. I am reading a lot of forum posts about the problems at gatehub. Terrible customer service, long transaction times etc. ..so wondering how I go about recovering my BTC? Worried it won't ever show up in gatehub. As of right now I wouldn't transfer any money to gatehub as a new US user. It seems nearly impossible to use, there are serious tech issues with their site. One example being establishing a trust line which mysteriously fails every time you attempt it. My story isn't unique with them, so would be very cautious before transferring any large amount of money to them. [link] [comments]
