How to connect the bitcoin miner - Connecting, configuring and powering up the Bitmain Antminer S9

    Posted: 19 Nov 2017 01:53 AM PST

a question about mining bch i hope you can help me

    Posted: 19 Nov 2017 06:09 AM PST

in short - can those antminer mashines mine bitcoin cash or are they limited to a certain protocoll

more detailed .... im new to reddit so forgive me if not everything is perfect me personaly im not into mining but a friend is looking for antminer. now from what i understood i might be wrong about that. there are different protocolls. my thought now was if antminer for example would only be able to mine a certain protocoll like the bitcoin and he buys them and in the end bitcoin will endup behind bitcoin cash of course he should make sure what ever he invests in will be able to mine bitcoin cash (or others for that matter) so can antminer still be used (to mine bitcoin cash) or do they become useless when the old bitcoin is history

i thought i get the most honest answer here since google just turns up all answers i can wish for some say it is some say it isnt and i cant tell which one to trust at that point

NEO Price Analysis for the Week (11/19)

    Posted: 19 Nov 2017 08:04 AM PST

    Hello, Passengers:

We apologize for the delay on AIR VER. I thought there would be liftoff this weekend but I just received confirmation (from @philakone) that they were just testing the thrusters. We will not see liftoff this weekend. You can continue to HODL your coins if you'd like, or please feel free to enjoy some complimentary NEO!

NEO is a STEAL at this price. Anytime it drops under $40 I spend at least $1000 on NEO. I've put in $5K already and I wish I had put in $50k.

Neo is here to stay! The charts show it 100% with a beautiful correction in a bullish pattern ready for breakout. The develops and NEO community are entirely transparent and honest, reaching out to the community to dissipate rumors. The NEO news "In 3 days" was directly released by a NEO council member. No one is fudding NEO.

Just look at longs vs shorts... NEO long @ 390K versus NEO short at 57K!! NEO is about to BLAST OFF!

We are right on the CUSP of a perfect ABC to WXY correction pattern in a bullish falling wedge.

NEO flight pattern for this week: $48 $53 $57

If you can get in for under $40 then you will be riding FIRST CLASS.

    Low fee trading platforms (Canadian)

    Posted: 18 Nov 2017 10:08 PM PST

I'm looking for a low fee trading platform to do some bch trading. Currently quadrigacx is the one I'm using however I'm noticing volume is low and the fees are very expensive. A complete buy and sell is 0.5% each side of the trade. Looking for recommendations for a better place to do business with lower fees. Preferably a place that can accept CAD deposits or I can convert to another coin and transfer however low fees and CAD liquidity would be the best for me.

    BCH基金(BCF)- 公告1

    Posted: 19 Nov 2017 01:52 AM PST

Why I think BTC is done and BCH will be the dominant Bitcoin.

    Posted: 19 Nov 2017 12:54 AM PST

I think that the determining factor in this so-called "crypto-war" between BTC and BCC will be technology. I also think technology will be the determining factor in whether any cryptocurrency is successful.

The only thing BTC has behind it is hype. It is not practical as a currency because it is just too slow and there are other currencies that are available and can do the job faster. All the top cryptocurrencies have something unique about them in terms of what they can do. Ethereum, Ripple and Litecoin all have something that the other currency does not. Yes, hype is always a factor, but the hype is there because of something. Many people purchased Ripple when they learned that American Express was using it.

What is the hype about BTC today? Sure, it was the first, but if that alone was the determining factor in whether or not we implement a technology then we would still be using AOL. Sure, there are people that still do use AOL but that's because AOL gets them on the internet. Bitcoin is not even practical as a currency because it's too slow and its value changes too quickly from the time a transaction starts and completes - which makes it a slow and risky currency.

To make matters worse, BTC's other big problem is that 80% of it is controlled by Chinese companies. The paradox here is that BTC started out as a currency that was supposed to be decentralized and ended up being susceptible to the influence of China's government. Some have made the analogy that BTC is like gold in the sense that it has value but is not practical as a currency because your grocery accepts dollars not gold. But again, gold has properties that other valuable commodities like oil or corn do not. And again, oil and corn are not valuable because they are oil and corn. Saying BTC will be valuable in the future because it was the first is like saying oil will be just as valuable when everyone is driving around in cheap, clean and efficient electric cars and the demand for oil has dwindled.

I think BTC is burning out right now like red dwarf – quick, because it's not going to last and large, because it has the highest value per coin out of all the cryptocurrencies. One of the current uses of BTC within exchanges is as an intermediary in swapping currencies. But exchanges will likely add trading features that will make BTC's use for this obsolete.

So what is left then? Hype about nothing. Cryptocurrency is a technology and that is something that we value because of how practical it is; not because of when it came into our lives.

why is it not possible to send 0 fee transactions in bitcoin cash?

    Posted: 18 Nov 2017 08:50 PM PST

... and why not make it possible?

it was and is still possible to do it in bitcoin and they removed it only because blocks were full and ridiculous fees were paid. but in BCH blocks are empty and fees must be low and free transactions should be possible again. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_fees#Historic_rules_for_free_transactions

    BitcoinCash 11/18 Professional Investment Advice

    Posted: 18 Nov 2017 04:44 PM PST

Are you guys enjoying your free BCH? I keep buying in the 1220 range and selling in the 1260. I've done it so many times that I don't even look at the market anymore, I can literally do it with my eyes closed. I just put in a buy order in the 1220 range and then wait a few minutes for it to fill, then put my sell order in right away once I'm done. I've made over $800 profit so far with these scalps.

    First Bitcoin cash

    Posted: 19 Nov 2017 01:56 AM PST

I am long time supporter of bitcoin but latest price surge in bitcoin cash and some really fishi reports like https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@crypteller/bitcoin-cash-conspiracy-theory forced me to change my strategy for cryptocurrency. This doesn't mean I will not going to support bitcoin but I will buy some bitcoin cash too. As price of each will be inversly purportional to each other and that's for sure
