    Flexpool.io question

    Posted: 02 Mar 2022 10:23 PM PST

    Hey all,

I was mining with my modest 160mh rig on 2miners for some time and switched to flexpool about 2 weeks ago because everyone always says flexpool is the best and blah blah blah...

2miners hashrate fluctuates between 130mh and 220mh while flexpool is much more stable around the 150-160mh mark.

the daily profits never really ever change on flexpool but 2miners is up and down and i was generally earning more on 2miners over time.

My question is, why/how when flexpool is supposed to be the sh!t for eth mining....

GPU core temperature slowly rising over time, VRAM/Junction temps stable and unchanged, ambient room temp stable and unchanged.

    Posted: 02 Mar 2022 04:00 PM PST

    Need help understanding a problem.

One of my GPU's has its core temperature slowly inching up (approximately 1-2 degrees every 2 to 3 weeks). Its steadily going up.

The VRAM/Junction temps are not going up. They have remained stable and unchanged.

The rooms ambient temperature also has not changed and is stable.

I've tried repasting the core (twice, with different paste) and still the same thing happens.

Can anyone give me insight on this? Encounter anything like this before?

Does Electric Company ever give you any issues ?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2022 05:30 PM PST

I'm running close to 3,000 watts, and recently called the electric company to see which was cheaper . A business account or personal account.

The person told me a personal account was cheaper. That being said.

Did your electric company ever give you any issues for say .. running 10,000 - 20,000 watts on a residential line ? (thats 2 or 3 240 volts ).I mean, I assume this kind wattage would cause a red flag in the power company

What type of wire should I ask for from the subpanel to the 240v outlets ? its standard?

    Can someone share any insights?

Help me convince my dad to build a Rig

    Posted: 02 Mar 2022 08:09 AM PST

as the title says. i managed to convince my dad to take a shot at mining and making me in charge of building my own rig.

i live in a country that doesn't have 24/7 electricity. that being said it's very very cheap in terms of electricity cost because we convert dollars to the local currency and the inflation the country pretty much gives me a massive discount.

he told me i have until Friday to convince him, he kind of dislikes the concept of crypto but recently started to open up to it after the whole Ukraine situation and seeing the adoption. and of course with me telling him its a good chance to build another source of income.

i mine on a simple gaming PC and over time results are starting to pay off, growing a little every day.

i want to make a powerpoint presentation of the advantages of GPU mining and starting the journey into hopefully something bigger in the future.

so what points can i add to my powerpoint to help educate him and give him an insight on the possibilities in the future?

i have an excel to help break down the costs (the profit per day is accounted for at the date of (3/2/2022)
