The only thing missing from the Metaverse is a good gaming platform Posted: 02 Mar 2022 08:59 PM PST Time has proven that toys are loved by men and women of all ages. We're wired to like games, and with how realistic and engulfing they've grown, they've become a full-on simulation of our deepest wants. At the stroke of a button, just behind a screen, gaming provides folks a buzz they couldn't have in the real world. However, the recent cryptocurrency boom has simply accelerated this from exponential to light-speed growth. With barely time to spare, see how gaming tokens have become the biggest investment of our time. They continue to compound their success and riches day after day, with no indications of slowing down. There are an increasing number of projects being released. Take, for example, Metaverse 7, a new enterprise that has captivated the interest of millions of people all around the world despite its recent debut. I've seen how the world has gone from aversion to full immersion in games, and I'm confident that NFT gaming will be adopted as the next global gaming standard. [link] [comments]
What would you do if you magically had 10k in your wallet? Posted: 02 Mar 2022 04:23 PM PST This is a hypothetical. No financial advice, I get it. I always love to hear peoples reasonings behind certain crypto communities. What would you do if you had a spare $10k to use for investments? Here's what I'd do: 30% BTC 30% ETH 40% ALTS I'm not crazy on investing in Bitcoin itself as its just such a high price already and I'm looking for more then a 2x return, however, I feel it would be unwise to just gamble it all into ALTs as things are obviously still unfolding with Ukraine, regulation, etc. I also think ETH as its got first mover advantage and already has crazy adoption compared to the rest of the market. Other alts I'd look into would probably be SOL, Cardano, and some utility alts. Extra appreciation to anyone who goes into detail. I love the crypto space and quite frankly, finally feel like I'm apart of something big. Looking forward to the replies! [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Mar 2022 08:53 PM PST On Sunday, Ukraine's vice prime minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, requested that major exchanges ban Russian users' addresses. Binance stated that it "would not arbitrarily suspend the accounts of millions of innocent consumers." Another prominent cryptocurrency exchange, Kraken, said on Twitter that it "cannot freeze the accounts of our Russian clients until there is a legal obligation to do so." Binance announced on Monday that it will ban the accounts of sanctioned Russians, but will not "unilaterally" freeze the accounts of all Russian users. The remarks came after Ukraine's vice prime minister demanded that all Russian user accounts be blocked on major cryptocurrency exchanges. A representative for Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, told CNBC, "We are not going to arbitrarily suspend millions of innocent individuals' accounts." Crypto is designed to provide people all across the world more financial independence. To decide unilaterally to deny individuals access to their crypto would be a direct violation of the purpose of crypto. I think we should not forget that centralized exchanges have all control over our funds, so it's recommended to invest in DeFi, or in projects that merge the centralized and decentralized crypto like Parrotly Finance. And don't forget "not your keys, not your coins". [link] [comments]
CryptoPunk NFT Is Latest Donation to Ukraine’s $33M Campaign Posted: 02 Mar 2022 11:59 PM PST The sought-after NFT could be worth $200,000 according to some estimates. CryptoPunk #5364 was transferred to Ukraine's Ethereum wallet on Tuesday, adding a potentially lucrative and sought-after cap to a donation campaign that's already amassed over $33 million in cryptocurrencies. Estimates of the Punk's value vary: Tom Robinson of crypto tracing firm Elliptic notched it around $200,000 when he flagged the donation late Tuesday; DeepNFTvalue, a blog that uses machine learning to estimate prices for rare NFTs, placed it at $233,000. The punk fetched a sales price of $31,300 in February 2021, the last time it was sold. The donor has a collection of several other Punks, according to their wallet address. It is noteworthy that people are giving up their prized NFT to support Ukraine. I wonder what NFT Marketplace that Ukraine will sell the NFT on. will it OpenSea or Deedly.digital? Could Putin be looking into cryptocurrency as a way to get around Western sanctions? Posted: 02 Mar 2022 08:47 PM PST "Of course, we also have certain competitive advantages here, notably in the so-called mining," Vladimir Putin said, as many others do when addressing the intricate world of cryptocurrencies. Following the events of this weekend, when Russia was slammed with significant financial penalties, the Russian president may decide to take use of those advantages. Putin spoke in January, just days after Russia's central bank recommended a blanket ban on cryptocurrency trade and mining. Mining is the energy-intensive process of computers verifying new bitcoin transactions – placing them on a virtual record known as a blockchain – and generating new bitcoins as a reward for that labor in the case of bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency. I see a lot of people jumping on the crypto trend right now, personallly, I invested in DeFi projects like Aggregated Finance and Aave, and waiting for prices to go up more. The Bank of Russia issued a strong warning, claiming that cryptocurrency mining poses "serious threats to the economy and financial stability." Putin appeared to be less certain a week later, claiming that Russia had an edge in bitcoin mining due to its vast energy reserves and competence in the industry. [link] [comments]
One NFT For Every Human Being In Existence: This is weird. Posted: 03 Mar 2022 12:01 AM PST Dutch artist Dadara and digital rights management platform RAIRtech have developed a collection of 7.9 billion identical nonfungible tokens (NFTs). The collection, named "CryptoGreymen," is on the Polygon Ethereum scaling network. Although each NFT is identical, they will be assigned a serial number of up to 7.9 billion to reflect the number of humans currently estimated to be living on the Earth. The collection is designed to be a social experiment that Dadara hopes "can rattle the cage of consensual reality and elevate conversation." He said in an official announcement that the social experiment is simple: "No one specific NFT is better than another, and because the minting price is widely accessible it will be interesting to see what value each individual CryptoGreyman holder brings." I want to know more. Will these NFTs be shared to each human? Can I decide to sell it on Marketplaces like Deedly.digital? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Mar 2022 08:59 PM PST Imagine someone stealing a large sum of money only to not be able to ever move it, ever again. I have no idea where these media outlets are getting their information but a large some of money to the littlest amounts are all tracked on the blockchain. Anyone moving anything would literally give out their location and be arrested promptly. Therefore it was never dangerous to being with and while the crypto market does have its flaws but people behind the best projects are working everyday on innovations to make a safer and smoother experience for everyone. For example Insurance funds are one of things being implemented in IDO platforms like soIanaprime, which hold hundreds of startups at times where the majority of startups tend to be run by Rogue IDOs, therefore ensuring the reimbursement of an investor if things go south. Innovation like these are making the crypto market as a whole a safer place of investment. The days of FUD about the capabilites of crypto are dwindling away everday, and the respect that this financial system deserves is being given to it finally. [link] [comments]
eBay will soon be adding crypto as a payment option Posted: 02 Mar 2022 08:54 PM PST According to The Street, e-commerce behemoth eBay aims to enter the crypto world. The company has hinted that they will soon be adding an option to accept crypto payments. This decision will entice Gen-Z and millennials to its site. As per the journal, eBay's CEO, Jamie Iannone, stated in an interview that Gen-Z and millennials are the firm's principal focus. The company has been looking into crypto payment possibilities for some time. He also mentioned that while eBay does not presently accept cryptocurrencies on its site, the business may make a crypto-related statement on March 10, a day devoted to its investors. With the way that things are done, I won't mind using the profits that I make from copying trades from highly performing traders on Tycoon.io to buy things on eBay. He also mentioned that eBay was trying to provide more payment alternatives to the platform, even though it was already handling. about $85 billion in "platform directly" business. Experts claim that cryptocurrency will not shield Russia from sanctions. Posted: 02 Mar 2022 08:49 PM PST According to bitcoin researchers, cryptocurrency alone will not allow Russia to avoid a bombardment of sanctions aimed at punishing Moscow for invading Ukraine. On Monday, the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and Canada imposed fresh sanctions against Russia's central bank and sovereign wealth fund. Russian President Vladimir Putin's capacity to use the country's $630 billion in foreign reserves has been limited, according to the US Treasury Department. The decision occurred just one day after the United States and its allies cut several Russian banks off from SWIFT (the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication), a secure messaging network that handles billions of dollars in transactions. On Monday, Russia's economy was already in free fall. Many traders prepared for this and predicted a crypto price surge, which is why I bought a many altcoins like $AGFI and $BNB. The ruble fell to an all-time low against the dollar, the central bank upped its benchmark interest rate to 20%, and the stock exchange remained closed. Sanctions enforcement need the capacity to trace transactions, which is normally done through the financial system. Iran and North Korea have both utilized cryptocurrency to circumvent sanctions by operating outside of the banking system. [link] [comments]

Pixelmon NFT Reveal Disappoints With Hilariously Ugly Art Posted: 02 Mar 2022 08:27 PM PST The project raised an eye-popping $70 million to create a Pokémon-like metaverse game. It's off to a rough start. Pixelmon raised $70 million to create a NFT-based game inspired by Nintendo's Pokémon. (CoinDesk screenshot/Pixelmon) The Pixelmon non-fungible token (NFT) project became the laughingstock of crypto Twitter after the highly anticipated artwork series was panned as shoddily crafted and just plain ugly. One Pixelmon holder tweeted that his Pixelmon hatched half-submerged in a patch of grass and looked "dead," while another complained that he had received what appeared to be an empty patch of grass with no Pixelmon in sight. Even the Pixelmon founders acknowledged the NFTs were, indeed, "poor quality." Pixelmon raised a whopping $70 million upon mint on Feb. 7, marking one of the biggest launch sales completed for a project in the NFT market. Buyers spent up to 3 ETH per mint (about $9,200 based on historical ether prices), with the project completely selling out in less than a day. I truly hope Pixelmon rectifies this. This is why I love NFT ecosystems like Deedly.digital. Awesome quality. [link] [comments]

Having Some Stability in your Crypto Investment Posted: 02 Mar 2022 08:46 PM PST What a couple of weeks it has been for crypto investors. The value of BTC, ETH and most altcoins has been alarmingly eppileptic. Nonetheless, this comes as no surprise to seasoned crypto investors. One of the first things you are told when getting into the world of crypto investing is how volatile the market is. Hence, every investor should always cognizance of this fact when investing. The value of Bitcoin has risen by about $7000 in the last few days placing its value at roughly $43,000 as at the time of writing this post. However, it was only $35000 a few days ago. This volatility rollercoaster can be very irritating and frightening for investors and it would be nice to have some level of stability in the crypto market. In my opnion, the solution to this is stablecoin minting. Stablecoin minting involves investing in the creation of new stable coins through a process called staking. The advantage of this type of investment is that the value of stable coins does not fluctuate with the rise or dip in the value of other coins but is rather fixed on the value of assets outside the crypto ecosystem. A good example is $USDT fixed to the value of the US dollar. Also, a significantly high amount of profit is generated in the form of transaction fees paid by the system users. Combing the stability of stable coins and the profitability of minting can be very low risk and few blockchain platforms like Konstellation offer this service. [link] [comments]
Microloans have become more Accessible Posted: 02 Mar 2022 08:43 PM PST A few years ago I tried getting a microloan and was denied because I was resident in Africa and apparently the loan was only acessible to people in EU and American regions. It was a painful experience as I really needed that loan and also there was absolutely no interest on that loan. Regional restrictions have been a major limitation of traditional microlending and I have seen this happen first hand. A lot of young entrepreneurs in my region have been denied access to fantastic loan opportuinties by virtue of living in Africa. However, it is great to see that blockchain provides a solution to this problem. Blockchain is able to solve this problem by virtue of its decentralized nature. As you might be aware, one of the key features of decntralization in finance is the elimination of regional boundaries. This implies that any NGO or financial institution that seeks to grant loans to individuals can do so by simply leveraging platforms on the blockchain ecosytem that can facilitate the hand shake between loaners and loanees without breaking any finacial laws and that's that. The loaners post their loans on the platform and the borrowers apply through these platforms and viola! loans are granted. Since I stumbled on this info, I have searched for platforms on the blockchain ecosystem that can make this possible and suku world looks good so far. I plan to take a loan on this platform and will surely keep you posted. [link] [comments]
