Litecoin Why did Scrypt fail to be GPU-resistant?

Why did Scrypt fail to be GPU-resistant? Posted: 23 Feb 2022 05:14 AM PST As far as I know, Scrypt was originally promised to be CPU-friendly and GPU-resistant. However, GPUs are actively being used in mining and its performance is way better than CPU's. What is the reason for that?
