Tip: How to fix an AMD rig from crashing in Win10 Posted: 02 Feb 2022 07:24 AM PST Hi, I wrote a few months ago about the problems I encountered with my AMD rig after adding two RX 6600 non-XT, to my rig with 4x RX 6600 XT 1x RX 6800. Around the end of November the rig started crashing more frequently, and I was happy if I could have 4 full days without a crash, which had to be followed by reinstallation of the AMD drivers and a reboot before I could get it mining again. In a gaming thread I found a tip to add a DWORD/QWORD named TdrDelay, with a hexadecimal value of 8 under the following path in RegEdit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers To my surprise I found that the "windows_tdr_fix.reg" file that comes with TeamRedMiner already added this. BUT I increased the value from 8 to 30, and since then I've been crash free for 40 days. (It does not matter if you have 32 or 64 bit win10 when adding a DWORD/QWORD.) A lot of AMD bois probably already know about this, but I hope I can spare someone from some of the headache I endured Best regards tl;dr: Add a DWORD/QWORD named TdrDelay and set the hexadecimal value to 30 in RegEdit: [link] [comments] | ||
