- How to push current hashrate to miner
- Has anyone added thermal pads to the 3080 XC3 Ultra only behind the backplate?

How to push current hashrate to miner Posted: 05 Dec 2021 08:51 AM PST No matter how long I site on a site (ethermine, 2miners, unmineable, etc) my "current" hashrate is always 10-15 mh/s lower than what's reported to the miners. How do I change that so it reports it all. [link] [comments]
Has anyone added thermal pads to the 3080 XC3 Ultra only behind the backplate? Posted: 05 Dec 2021 08:38 AM PST If so, how much did it help? It looks like there's a small gap behind the backplate. I'm not up for repadding the whole card but pads here may make a difference. My card is non-LHR. Thanks. [link] [comments]
Difficulty bomb - how does it work? Posted: 05 Dec 2021 03:21 AM PST So how does the Ethereum difficulty bomb work? Is it possible to just ignore the difficulty bomb after the POS hard fork? Then we can fork the network into ETC, ETH and ETH2. And we can continue mining ETC and ETH. Since 90% of GPUs will be obsoleted once ETH2 happens, I guess it is not too difficult to get consensus to ignore the difficulty bomb part of the code? After all, it has been delayed 5 times already. So I guess just set the delay=infinity or something? Furthermore, POS suffers from weak subjectivity. Which means that centralization is required to maintain the illusion of distributed consensus. Since Ethereum is the second most decentralized after Bitcoin, this means that POS is likely to fail on ETH2. POS works on other chains because they are Decentralized in Name Only.
