You Know Why Ethereum is Going to Win? Posted: 22 Dec 2021 07:08 AM PST Because while crypto-twitter is going full apeshit-monkey-butt punching each other in the face about BTC vs ETH and Web 3 vs Web 2 and POW vs POS, if you go to the twitter feeds of the ETH devs, it's all about testnets and testcases and datasets and the merge. You can see some of their names here: https://twitter.com/dannyryan/with_replies Thank you, guys. [link] [comments]

Are there any good etherum podcasts? Posted: 22 Dec 2021 12:54 AM PST Like the "what Bitcoin did." Podcast. But for etherum! I want that deep philosophical talk. No moon guys. [link] [comments]
Would giving free coins to my early protocol users be considered as a security according to US SEC? Posted: 22 Dec 2021 04:13 AM PST Hi, I am aware of the Howey test on how an asset can be a security. But, I am asking here to confirm my logic. If we issue our coin free of cost to our early users, is it still a security? We are essentially a fixed income DeFi project. So, plan to give tokens to any user who invests in our investment products. The utility of the token can be as follows:
So, would making the coin dividend eligible make it a security, given that it was given for free in the first place? What are some ways to avoid getting in regulatory issues during the earlier stages in product? We don't have any issue being complaint but don't want to worry about it when we are young. Thoughts on Metis (optimistic rollup)? Posted: 22 Dec 2021 07:43 AM PST Was looking into various scaling solutions for Ethereum and stumbled across Metis which utilizes optimistic rollups as well as being the ability to easily create DACs with built-in traditional business functions like payroll, etc. Maybe u/vbuterin can answer this but I remember him saying ZK-rollups are the future of Ethereum scaling. So, do you think optimistic rollups (specifically Metis) will then become obsolete and replaced by ZK-rollups or do you think both can exist in the future of Ethereum. [link] [comments]
Cant unstake my tokens, keep getting “intrinsic gas too low” Posted: 22 Dec 2021 07:39 AM PST I'm sorry if this has been answered but i'm at a loss, i've been trying to unstake some tokens from Gate.io and i keep getting "intrinsic gas too low" each time it shows me a price (typically under $10?) I've tried adjusting the price up even to double what it's asking to swap tokens on uniswap but the transaction keeps failing despite still charging me some off the top. What can i do?? Side note: I will not answer DMs for anyone who tries lol. [link] [comments]

Were there any noticeable outage’s or problems during this months many AWS issues? Posted: 22 Dec 2021 05:46 AM PST As we know Ethereum runs on AWS ECS, which runs EC2's. There have been many outages this past month and I'm wondering if there have been any reported issues with the network. Something like ~23% of the ETH network runs on AWS, so it would be interesting to see how the outages may have affected the blockchain, if at all. [link] [comments]
ERC-20 Ethereum withdrawal taking forever Posted: 22 Dec 2021 05:41 AM PST I have tested my first bep20 eth withdrawal, which worked, and now I tried to withdraw on erc-20, but the withdrawal is still pending. Why does it take so long? Binance US. [link] [comments]
