Posted: 29 Nov 2021 03:56 AM PST Sold my 15 polaris cards of which 5 were doing ETH and 10 were 4 gb cards doing ETC. Now why i sold them is i wanted to upgrade cards for future or say to get card's that are as good on other coins as they are on Ethereum. For this best option comes out 3060 Ti LHR. Now where i live card's are very expensive and hard to get so the rates I'll post is what i have to go for. Can't import from random places. But i found another option in market which doesn't fit the idea for why i sold my cards.. 1660 supers. So what are opinions here... Curious. Also all.my cards did breakeven 4 months back and were doing ROI since than...so i dont mind starting again. 3060Ti $ 1000 new 1660 Super $685 I sold all my cards for $4250 [link] [comments]
Currently running Hiveon Pool, Ethermine, & 2miners Posted: 29 Nov 2021 03:07 AM PST Hello everyone,I am currently running 618 mh on Hiveon Pool, 420 on Ethermine for my ETH & 220 for RVN on 2miners. I have these spread over 4 workers on HiveOS and have it like this so that I do not yet have to pay there monthly fees for my workers. I was wondering what pool everyone suggests because a lot of people do not like Hiveon pool, but again, have it like this to avoid paying for workers. My question is, would it be worth it to move all my workers to a different pool and just pay the fees or keep it how it is? Also, is it fees for all workers above 4 you pay, or will I now have to pay for all workers and not just the 5th? Additionally, would you guys think mining straight to coinbase is fine or not good for security/paying double transaction fees it looks like? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
Vega 56 hashrate is maxed out at 45mh/s with amdmemtweak Posted: 28 Nov 2021 10:28 PM PST I hear tales of people getting 52, 53, even 55mh/s using teamredminer and amdmemtweak. What am I doing wrong? I have a Samsung 8GB VRAM Gigabyte Vega 56 and running Windows 10 on ASUS P8Z77-V LK + intel i5-3450 + 8GB DDR3 RAM I tried many different settings from a variety of folks on Reddit, and each and every one of them just gets me to exactly 44.88-44.89mh/s. A big improvement from the 38mh/s I was getting with nbminer, but isn't this an oddly specific hashrate? Is it being artificially capped somehow? Core clock is 1100mhz, mem is 950mhz, and voltage is 825mV, but these don't really matter because the core clock doesn't seem to affect the hashrate, neither does the voltage, and the mem can't be increased because it crashes. Power draw is 167W. Currently using these settings. <values cl="20" ras="26" rcdrd="12" rcdwr="12" rcab="38" rcpb="38" rpab="12" rppb="12" rrds="3" rrdl="5" rtp="6" faw="12" cwl="8" wtrs="4" wtrl="9" wr="13" rrefd="7" rdrddd="3" rdrdsd="2" rdrdsc="1" rdrdscl="3" wrwrdd="3" wrwrsd="2" wrwrsc="1" wrwrscl="3" wrrd="1" rdwr="17" ref="24000" mrd="8" mod="12" xs="216" xsmrs="6" pd="6" cksre="8" cksrx="8" rfcpb="128" stag="7" xp="6" cpded="2" cke="6" rddata="16" wrlat="4" rdlat="14" wrdata="1" ckestag="2" rfc="247" timing="0" zerorpm="True" tdplimit="0" maxtemp="85"> <mem> <p0 enabled="0" clock="167" vddc="800" /> <p1 enabled="0" clock="500" vddc="800" /> <p2 enabled="0" clock="700" vddc="900" /> <p3 enabled="1" clock="1000" vddc="800" /> </mem> <core> <p0 enabled="1" clock="852" vddc="800" /> <p1 enabled="1" clock="991" vddc="900" /> <p2 enabled="1" clock="1138" vddc="950" /> <p3 enabled="1" clock="1269" vddc="1000" /> <p4 enabled="1" clock="1312" vddc="1050" /> <p5 enabled="1" clock="1474" vddc="1100" /> <p6 enabled="1" clock="1538" vddc="1150" /> <p7 enabled="1" clock="1100" vddc="835" /> </core> <fan> <p0 temp="30" fan="42" /> <p1 temp="50" fan="42" /> <p2 temp="57" fan="42" /> <p3 temp="64" fan="45" /> <p4 temp="72" fan="50" /> [link] [comments]
Issue with two cards (pci errors and pviol in nvidia-smi) Posted: 29 Nov 2021 02:03 AM PST I have my first rig with 4 cards (3x2080s + 1x2080) with hiveos on a pendrive with Asus Z170-E Mobo. After I've setup it everything worked fine (minning at ~44.5-45 MH/s with ethminer). But after about 8 hours one of the cards went "wrong" - in After reboot the card went "missing" it wasn't seen by Linux. So I replaced riser checked connections and card appeared correctly. But it got me thinking and I started looking at ``` gpu pwr gtemp mtemp sm mem enc dec mclk pclk pviol tviol fb bar1 sbecc dbecc pciIdx W C C % % % % MHz MHz % bool MB MB errs errs errs ``` The card that went missing previously had a steady increase in So what is happening here? Replaced riser and I have same issues, I switched pcie ports and the same. When I completly reordered the pcie ports for all cards I started seeing pviol in 3 cards, so I went back to the original setup. Basically my question is, why one of the cards has pci errors and anothe pviol (power violation?) at 100%? Is this a result of too high OC, wrong mobo, or cards are broken somehow? BTW. MH/s is steady, no invalid shares. OS: Linux/HiveOS GPUs in question: - ZOTAC 2080 SUPER AMP Extreme 8 GB (with pci errors) - Palit GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER GRP 8GB (with pviol at 100%) PSU: two Corsair RM850x (above cards are connected to single one with cables from the PSU) OC settings (current, for both cards, I reduced it a bit): cpu: 1200 mem: 2900 [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Nov 2021 08:23 PM PST I bought a 3080 and a 3070ti. Got interested in mining etherium. After all is set and working it is giving me a combined total of around 8$ per day. That's a 500 day ROI(more if I factor in electricity costs ). Have I been had? Is there something I can do to offset this? [link] [comments]

Btc-S37 motherboard not detecting 8th gpu, need ideas Posted: 28 Nov 2021 11:02 PM PST Been mining perfectly on 7 rtx 2060 oc non super gpus for weeks, went to add an 8th today and when going to boot up nothing happens? The gpus all light up and their fans work, power supplies all working, but the CPU fan does not and screen stays off. It's no specific card, i can take any of the 8 cards out and it works fine on 7, but adding the final one and rebooting causes this issue.. I've tried different cables, taking out cmos battery, resetting defaults, updating nvidia drivers thru hiveos but cannot seem to identify the issue.. Anyone have any ideas or able to share their wisdom here? Edit: Also, if I boot up and start on 7 and then put the 8th card in it will continue to run, rebooting thru hiveos then shows the new card there but says overclock failed for that card and it's not hashing [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Nov 2021 09:09 PM PST So I was wondering if there was a way to mine with my gaming pc when I'm not gaming on it or is that not a thing [link] [comments]
PC crashing/shutting off randomly when mining/rendering. Posted: 28 Nov 2021 09:03 PM PST I've added a 2nd 3090 GPU to my watercooled loop, temps are nice, but now whenever I try to mine via NiceHash or render my scene, it's litterally just shutting off my computer mid render/mid-mine. Wattage meter says max 854w being pulled. I have a seasonic 1200w gold PSU and a Gigabyte Aorus Master x570. I've tried overclocking my GPUs with MSI Afterburner and resetting it to their defaults. Just reset the NVIDIA driver to the latest studio driver using DDU to wipe the old one off. I've updated NiceHash quick miner and octane to the latest versions. No big report since it just shuts off and doesn't attempt to restart, no blue screen. What do I do here? [link] [comments]

Should I RMA my 3070 if I’m having gaming issues with it, but no issues mining? Posted: 28 Nov 2021 01:21 PM PST Sorry if this isn't the best subreddit to post my question. Anyways, I have a Zotac 3070 Twin Edge, and I use it for gaming and for mining just for fun. I've been getting these weird video rendering errors in certain games I play which I've read online is potentially due to my GPU's memory failing? I get pretty good hashrates on my card, at least when I compare it to other 3070s. My question is if I RMA this to Zotac, what are the chances that they don't make the model of GPU that I have and only have LHR models. What would you guys do? [link] [comments]
Creating my first mining rig from an old Aurora R7 Posted: 28 Nov 2021 12:44 PM PST Hello! I've decided to disassemble my old Aurora R7 to learn how to create my first mining rig. From what I've gathered I can use the two GTX 1080, as well as the memory and the SSD 250 GB. I know that I require power and a motherboard. Ideally, I'd like to create a simple mining rig that I can upgrade on my own, but I have no idea what motherboards I should consider purchasing as well as what power I should be getting (the power seems to be quite embedded into the Alienware Aurora, so I'm not sure if it is worth removing) any help would be tremendously appreciated. What kind of sound can I expect from 12x RTX3080 + 4 server PSUs? Soundproofing ideas? Posted: 28 Nov 2021 12:27 PM PST Does anyone have an idea of how many decibels that would be? I'm building an enclosure box for this setup that I'd like to soundproof, but I need to know first how many db this would roughly be. If anyone has idea on soundproofing that would also be appreciated! [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Nov 2021 05:15 PM PST Hello, I just have a question that which type of mining is more profitable in UK? ASIC or GPU or are both a bad idea keeping in view electricity prices? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
I want to build a mining rig that generates 3,000 dollars Posted: 28 Nov 2021 09:10 PM PST I was planning to build the ring with used cigar gtx 1660 TI, but you guys recommend me. I think with about 22 GPUs I can make $ 3,000 a month. Recommendations? I plan to buy a motherboard from aliexpress with 12 PCIE ports for $ 93. I don't know. It seems like a good place to invest my savings. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Nov 2021 01:11 PM PST Hi guys, I'm an accountant from the UK, and me and my boss are wanting to make use of a deal with a landlord in which we won't pay any electricity bills for the first year. Being accountants, both investors, and both wildly amazed by the crypto world (especially in mining rigs), I've been tasked with building a rig for 3-6 GPU's, starting with three but then having the capability to scale this up to 6 as we get going and more understanding. I've built computers all my life, so building them will just take some altering of what I already know, but my question to you is. If you had a relatively decent budget, where would you start? What would you buy? Any tricks of the trade? Anything to avoid? Cheers in advance! Know these questions must be annoying, but I'm really eager to learn! [link] [comments] |
