Posted: 15 Oct 2021 07:19 AM PDT Since 2miners is kind enough to publish their miner stats online (https://eth.2miners.com/miners) I decided to do a quick analysis on it. For those out of the loop, 2miners recently decided to give miners the option to be paid out in Nano and BTC rather than just ETH, to allow their users to have cheaper txs using BTC or have free transactions using Nano. See this article for more information. 2miners.com - payouts now available in Nano Since adding Nano/BTC as a payment option the number of miners that choose Nano and BTC has been growing quickly. I did an analysis today and hope to repeat it soon, so we can see how this further develops. It's now ~4-5 days ago that Nano/BTC payouts were added. So, the stats when I did this analysis.Total miners: 47,217. Total hashrate: 21.89 GH/s ETH-paid miners: 43,302 Nano-paid miners: 2,146 BTC-paid miners: 1,769 Average ETH hashrate per worker: 0.485227 GH/s Average BTC hashrate per worker: 0.322993 GH/s Average Nano hashrate per worker: 0.178527 GH/s Nano share in total hashrate: 1.77% ConclusionThe number of miners choosing to be paid out in Nano and BTC is increasing rapidly from ~500 each on day 1 to ~2150/1750 on day 4/5. Predictably yet interestingly, those choosing Nano as their payout method tend to be smaller miners. This makes a lot of sense. Smaller miners are paid less, and therefore any fixed fee has a larger impact on them. This also illustrates Nano's appeal in a broader sense - with increasing fees on both Bitcoin and Ethereum, Nano becomes ever more attractive. I'd expect that if more services more to offering payments in ETH/BTC/Nano, fees on ETH and BTC increase further, making Nano ever more interesting. To those interested I'd suggest looking at the raw data on https://eth.2miners.com/miners. I'll try to repeat this analysis in a week or so, to see what's changed. [link] [comments]

Posted: 15 Oct 2021 12:46 AM PDT Started this Monday with 350 MHs and 0 luck to 320 MHs and 40% luck still no block..🤨 Testing will run till Sunday. (Had a card died out for no reason) (4GB Polaris cards) Roughly a loss of $ 110-115 in fiat values if i kept mining in pool. [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Oct 2021 06:49 AM PDT I recently switched from hiveon pool to ethermine and there is a difference:( I love hiveos, it's so easy to use and makes being a miner better in a lot of ways compares to windows. But..... There is a large difference on their pool compared to ethermine, and I'm sure others. I have about 750megahash on one of my rigs and it would take 8 days to hit 0.1 eth for payout on hiveos. On ethermine, I hit a little over 0.1 eth in 7 days, what a difference. My 0.02$ [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Oct 2021 03:41 AM PDT On my Rig I have one amd 580 and one 5700xt I was messing with Minerstat a few days ago and probably messed around too much because now my workers won't show up and when I try to add workers it says I have to upgrade like I'm stuck in a loop I have already deleted all my driver and reinstalled them because i only had drivers for the 580 and now msi after burner shows they both have the recommended drivers any reference would be greatly appreciated happy mining [link] [comments]

Posted: 15 Oct 2021 08:45 AM PDT Okay so I'm having problems figuring out a way to contoll my 5 noctua Industrial PPC Fans in the front of my case. So this far I've just had them attached to molex 12V and Ground all running full speed. But since at night my temps are down and some people in our household have been complain about their noise, I'd like to tune them down, which should be possible with pwm. So I've tried to just hook them up to my Asus Strix 3080 cards, but unfortunately hiveOS doesn't seem to use/start these fan headers. So they didn't spin at all. I don't have any fanconnectors on the motherboard, so no way there. So now I'm looking for a solution. I have plenty of USB ports and internal connectors free which I could use for that purpose. So if anyone knows a solution were I can hook up the 5 fans and tune them down with system/GPU temps then I'd be very grateful. I do know my way around within Linux so if some code/script is involved to make it work that shouldn't be the problem :-) Greetings Jack [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Oct 2021 07:32 AM PDT Hey guys, got a 6700xt here that quit mining on me a day ago now. It turns on, LEDs come on, fans spin, gets detected, builds the dag file but won't mine. Using Phoenix miner 5.6d, card is powered by two separate PCIE cables from the same PSU, tried switching slots on the Mobo and it follows the card. Core temps were below 54C constant and mem temp was 82c or lower. I do not have a test bench to plug it into by itself unfortunately and I bought it from a local individual brand new in the box sealed. RMA it? Or am I out of luck on that? [link] [comments]

Posted: 15 Oct 2021 06:22 AM PDT I recently upgraded my computer from a 1060 6gb to a 3080ti for mining purposes and along with that I upgraded the power supply to a 850W evga unit. It has a i5 6600k so this should be more than enough power for this card and cpu combo, however it keeps randomly giving me bsod errors(I see them because it mines in the background while I do light duty school work online). Should I try to return the power supply to Newegg or what is my best approach? Ps. These errors also occur at night when I'm not using my computer for anything but mining. Also I tried t-Rex miner and NiceHash to see if it was instability in the mining program itself. [link] [comments]
Would repadding even matter if memory temps are around 88c? Posted: 15 Oct 2021 05:48 AM PDT When mining on my 3080 Ti the memory temps sit around 88c Would repadding it to improve memory temps further improve my hashrate at this point? I'm getting around 85 mh/s at 280w on eth If I improve the memory temps could I push the memory oc further or will it make no difference in this case? [link] [comments]
3080 ThermalRight upgrade done! Posted: 15 Oct 2021 05:15 AM PDT I've done my homework and re-padded my 3080 with ThermalRight 2.0mm pads + Arctic MX4 paste. [link] [comments]
RTX2060 Hynix Negative Memory OC question Posted: 15 Oct 2021 05:14 AM PDT Hi, I've been reading around and seen that Hynix memory seems to get improved hashrate when set to -502(win)/-1004(Linux) for the GTX 1660 Super. I have two RTX2060 with Hynix memory, and their efficiency is dog shit compared to my Samsung memory ones (The worst one is getting 32.5MH/s at 99W no matter how low I go on Core clock and CV). Has anyone here been able to get RTX2060 with Hynix memory to perform over 30MH/s at under 90W? [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Oct 2021 09:33 PM PDT It's starting to heat up as we go into summer in Australia. I'm using hive OS on a rig with a mix of GPUs. I like to keep my 3080s at around 45 c on the core to keep the memory temps down but like to run my other cards at 62. Is there a way to use auto fan on individual cards so that they're not all on 100% or overheating all the time? Thanks [link] [comments]
pad thickness to arepad & paste rx480 8gb reference model Posted: 14 Oct 2021 10:08 PM PDT Hey all I recently got into mining And this blower style reference 480 seems to get significantly hotter than the rest of my cards. 70% fan keeping it at like 66-68 degrees C . I'm getting 27.43mh/s at 87w seems to be the best I can get out of it so far without bios mod. Will do that soon ish. But want to repad and paste it first. Does anyone know what thickness pads I need for it ? Not finding the answer online. Thanks ! [link] [comments]

I am running a 3060 with 2 3060ti's on 470.05 drivers to get max hashrate out of my LHR 3060. Posted: 15 Oct 2021 12:00 AM PDT My pc resets randomly with the error "The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck Event ID: 1001" After researching, I have found it is most likely a driver problem. Is there a way to run the 470.05 drivers with a 3060ti and a 3060 without these errors? [link] [comments]
Nitro+ RX 570 4B original bios request Posted: 14 Oct 2021 11:26 PM PDT Hey guys, can anyone help me providing me the original sapphire nitro + rx 570 4gb BIOS? I know there is one on techpowerup but it's the 256kb version and this one has the 512kb version (Elpida). I bought this used GPU from someone but it's not the original bios. [link] [comments]
