What is the best way to convert more that 60 ETH to USD? Posted: 10 Oct 2021 07:01 AM PDT I'm working with a couple of generative NFT teams that need to convert ETH to USD. Someone told us that Coinbase isn't good for handling that type of volume. Is that true? What is a better way to convert more than 60 ETH to USD? Edit: Thanks so much for all the input! It's not because we don't want to hold the ETH. The teams are raising money for charities and the charities need cash. [link] [comments]

What do you think about L2’s future ? Posted: 10 Oct 2021 01:36 PM PDT L1's outside Ethereum doesn't have utopic gas fees as it is the case with ethereum. As other L1 alternatives gets a piece from the ethereums market share over time,(currently 78,5% of all defi built in ethereum), and as eth preparing for the 2.0, what do you think about ,let say,Polygon's future ? How to request promotional material for a free meet up? Posted: 10 Oct 2021 02:35 PM PDT Hi all! I'm holding a free crypto crash course in a small Colorado mountain. I want to give goodie bags with paper flyers or such from crypto companies that have information. How do I request something like that from Ethereum? [link] [comments]

ELI5 when ETH will become deflationary? Posted: 10 Oct 2021 01:23 PM PDT If I am correct L1 is already deflationary but beacon chain (PoS) is not. Will we get to phase where we have a net deflation and when it is supposed to happen? [link] [comments]

Just an idea about Crypto with NFTs as a causality Posted: 10 Oct 2021 07:49 PM PDT I was just thinking, and wondering if this idea was smart or stupid. So I think everyone can agree that Crypto is indeed the future, but also that the mining and computing of the blockchain has some serious environmental downsides. Now my idea isn't anything special, it's just an idea to lower the heat index generated from all this computing. SEND IT INTO SPACE! With the eventual adoption of Starlink in our futures as a viable option for internet, would it be smart for us to orbit computing stations around he planet utilizing solar in an array of station to bounce the load of computing and uptime across both our close orbit and slightly further out orbit so as not to cause a fuzz with all the other important satellites? And use some of these stations as pools for others to simply purchase space on and split profits? [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Oct 2021 12:16 PM PDT So I read an investopedia article and now I have a question. It's explaining PoS and said this: " ...a PoS miner is limited to mining a percentage of transactions that is reflective of their ownership stake. For instance, a miner who owns 3% of the coins available can theoretically mine only 3% of the blocks." So that made me confused. Because if, for example, only 20% of the total amount of coin is being staked for validating blocks, and a miner staked 3% of the TOTAL coin in circulation, they would be able to mine 15% of the new blocks yes? Help me understand how all the blocks get mined without all the ETH being staked for validation. [link] [comments]

Posted: 10 Oct 2021 02:39 PM PDT I'm somewhat new to crypto but wanted to ask a few questions. I thought the entire reason was for decentralization and lower fees. I understand you can make some money investing but what is the deal with the fees? How are people ok with this? This is so so much worse than using fiat. Everyone hates on RH but zero fees. I'm stuck in Crypto.com right now because the fees are so bad I can't move any of my money to the wallet to protect it. They are highway robbery anyway but is there any plan to fix this insane fee problem. It makes me never want to use crypto ever again especially for purchases and real world application. If I'm moving thousands or tens of thousands I don't mind paying a fee but how is it ok to pay 40-80 dollars to move 150. This is just stupid. Can someone explain to me what I'm missing? I really really want to learn more and love this because it could be great but all my common sense says run far away. Edit: Will this change when they move to staking? [link] [comments]
May I ask why this person has such a low fee on uniswap? Posted: 10 Oct 2021 04:03 AM PDT Hi everyone, I am using eth for the first time and I heard that the fees are high. I saw this guy who bought $spell with 350eth but the trx fee is only $16.85.https://etherscan.io/tx/0xbda11d1031e08770ecedc1a9fa72a280097ddd829af594ae33c3f3b3786a59bf But I found on another website that his fee should be 1.05 eth.https://dappgrid.com/uniswap-fee-calculator/ Why is this?
