Posted: 01 Oct 2021 10:14 PM PDT ALGO is a lost cause. It has no future and will never be worth more than $2.50 if you're lucky because of the shit tokenomics. It is amazing how FAST your favorite shitcoin completes transactions because NO ONE EVER USES IT. Moons are pointless and have no use case. Sell them now while they're actually worth something for some stupid reason. No one gives a flying fuck about NANO anymore. Tether is totally legit; you're either just being paranoid or creating FUD. High gas fees means ETH is ACTUALLY BEING USED. It also means that it's cheaper and faster to just transfer money with a bank. Oh, you think because you bought a coin it's going to dip, and because you sold, it's going to moon? No. It has nothing to do with you. You are meaningless. Time in the market > Timing the market? No, you are just stupid and don't know what the fuck you're doing. Nobody gives a fuck about LINK anymore. Take a break from the charts. We don't give a shit. Bitcoin maxis are wearing blinders. Alt coins are equally important. Alt coins aren't shit without Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the gold standard upon which all alt coins are valued against. Your love of hating Elon Musk is what fuels his lithium-ion batteries. CKB is a pump and dump scamcoin promoted by con-artists. Cardio Kick Boxing will not survive a bear market. Not your keys, not your coins? Well, if you forget your seed phrase, they're not your coins either, dumbass. Wallets, staking, governance, transferring, mining, smart contracts, candlesticks, hard forks, market cap, seed phrases, protocol, TA, FA, halvings, FUD, DeFi, NFT, ETF, FOMO, DEX, APY, DCA, DYOR, USDC, POS, POW, CBDCs…you seriously expect this shit to go mainstream? Good fucking luck! Maybe China was right all along. HODL is what we do when we don't know what to do. Michael Saylor just wants you to pump his bags. Everyone that you've been seeking advice from on r/Cryptocurrency has invested a grand total of $75 and is 16-19 years old and living in their parent's basement. Charles Hoskinson is a lovable teddy bear and/or Rush Limbaugh incarnate. Vitalik Buterin is the sexiest man in crypto. And that's not saying much. Bitcoin may be king, but have you heard about regicide? You should have put all your money into Ethereum Classic and Bitcoin Cash. Bulls suck. Bears suck. We all suck. You only wish you could afford ramen. Many smart people have made a lot of money with DOGE and SHIB. SHIB is the third most held coin by ETH whales. What's that all about, huh? Feel stupid because you missed out? You should. The market cap for all of crypto is less than Apple because the iPhone 13 is more innovative than 5000 invisible coins. Nobody really uses crypto. It's not undervalued, it's overvalued. This is all one big meaningless exercise in futility. You are not early. You are LATE. You'll never be rich. You suck. Your mother never loved you. Now it's your turn. Say something that is actually unpopular, even if you don't believe in what you say, and we promise not to downvote you. [link] [comments]

You are just creating a new Elon Musk out of El Salvador's president Posted: 01 Oct 2021 11:34 PM PDT I'm Latin American. Not from El Salvador, but from the same God forsaken region. Let me tell you this: Latin American politicians are pretty much the last people you'd like to praise or emulate in any way. The general rule of thumb is that, if someone is a successful politician in Latin America, he is probably a legit scumbag. He's either involved with organized crime, or he's undemocratic to the core and only sees the state and the people as a toy to exploit at will. Just because this particular dude did for crypto something we were all hoping for, It does not mean that he is an enlightened and benevolent ruler. He made one apparently good decision, but we don't know how this will play out in his country, if the legislation surrounding the adoption of crypto is fair, and if the common people will truly benefit from this (and not only him and his entourage). It could well be that, in a couple of months from now, corruption scandals and other unpleasant surprises regarding bitcoin in El Salvador come to surface and, in turn, discourage or hinder adoption in other countries. Maybe it could spook monetary authorities elsewhere and harden existing regulations. So, as we all saw happen with Elon Musk, this is just a reminder not to place someone on a pedestal just because that one time he did something nice for crypto. Keep things in perspective, always. Peace. [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Oct 2021 01:24 AM PDT Some of my crypto is on an exchange with triple factor authentication which in itself will confuse my wife. Some are on a wallet but if I share with her the pass phrase she will just put it on a piece of paper… Is the notary a good solution to keep the pass phrase safe ? I don't like the ledgers solutions. Components are not protected and simply the humidity of the air will progressively kill it in a few years. I need a long lasting solution so I don't have to think about it anymore. Cheers [link] [comments]
We're all going to be rich. Throw caution to the wind. Posted: 01 Oct 2021 09:29 AM PDT Hello fellow degenerates, Our crypto coins are going up. That can only mean one thing. They will keep going up forever. It's time to immediately start counting our chickens before they are hatched. We are definitely going to be super rich and very soon. What's that mean for us crypto enthusiasts? We should start spending wildly as if we already had the money. Buy anything you ever wanted. Quit your jobs and kick back since there's no stopping this rocket ship. You all better have your monocles picked out, because there's going to be a rush on them with all of us buying at the same time. Enjoy your guaranteed millionaire status. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Oct 2021 12:04 PM PDT Imagine being sat at dinner and having a lovely conversation with your partner. Maybe the kids are chatting about school and telling you about their day. Then there's a lull in the conversation as your wife goes to get pudding. I'll just check the charts you think… I can't remember the stop-loss on my multi-million dollar position… wait a minute…. What's this giant green FUCKING DILDO DOING ON MY SCREEN! The room spins, your stomach knots… 'Daddy?! Daddy are you ok?!' you hear distantly… you whisper quietly as you stand on unsteady legs to leave the table… no Timmy, no I'm not, and Christmas is cancelled this year. You stare out the window at the Lambo that's about to be repossessed as a tear slowly trickles down your cheek. Poor rekt bear. [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Oct 2021 12:44 AM PDT Anyone else feel like crypto is their last hope at attaining financial freedom. When i was younger i used to think that if i truly study hard i could get a job but living in a shitty country all my dreams and hope are gone now, over here corruption is everywhere and if you want a job you need to bribe the govt officials or if you wanna open your own business you need shit ton of money to start the business and also to bribe the official so that you can start your own business. I'm already 25 and i have been searching for a stable job for quite a while now but govt jobs are hard to get cause of all the bribery that is happening and joining private company is not possible cause i live in the underdeveloped part and only a very very company exist in my place. I had almost given up on reaching any sort of riches or financial independence in this life but luckily this year i heard about dogecoin which in turn introduce me to the crypto world and i'm truly thankful for it cause it have given me hope that even if i dont get rich from crypto atleast i could have some spare money to use because of it. From the moment i heard about dogecoin i have been doing a lot of research and i have since sold doge invest in some other more stable coin and have made some profit from it. Doing labour work for a living i barely made 6$ per day but i have decided to invest around 20$ every month from my salary into crypto cause i think that we are still at the beginning of the crypto revolution and as such i kinda believe that it is still possible to turn a 100$ investment into a 1000$ profit. With that being said with the amount i am investing in crypto i don't think i'll ever be able to get rich or be financially independent but i'm quite certain that i will atleast be able to make some money from it to help me out a bit if i'm ever going through a hard time. I guess i truly owe it to dogecoin for introducing me to something as truly wonderful as cryptocurrency [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Oct 2021 02:45 PM PDT Let's assume the date is 13-Apr-2020. So now, in roughly 1.5 year, how much money would you make if you invested ? Invested 100% in Bitcoin? Bitcoin price back then was $6,845. $1,200 would buy 0.1753 BTC, which is now $8,471. Invested 100% in S&P500 The index was $2,761.63 back then. $1,200 would buy 0.4345 units, which is now $1,893. Invested 100% in Nasdaq The index was $8,192.42 back then. $1,200 would buy 0.1465 units, which is now $2,133. What about gold? $1,200 would buy 0.6989 oz, which is now $1,231. What about some other cryptocurrencies? ETH: Price went from $156.28 to $3,311 today. So that $1,200 would be $25,423 now. ADA: Price went from $0.0331 to $2.2598 today. So that $1,200 would be $81,928 now. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Oct 2021 11:55 PM PDT I wonder how many people panic sold during the market decline with the none stop negative news going around. I'll admit, during Monday and Tuesday seeing how the market was plummeting, I wanted to just sell and take the profits while I have them. But instead I decided to hold and I tried the famous "Buy the dip" strategy, so I bought some crypto!. Sadly I did not buy hard enough. Come Friday and the market started flying, glad i bought the dip and I didn't sell any of my positions. Big regret not going hard when I was buying. But lesson learned, I'll have a bigger stack on standby for next time. Please share your experience with me and let me know what your game plan was during the market decline. [link] [comments]

The first ALGO Governance Poll and Why it’s Important Posted: 02 Oct 2021 02:59 AM PDT As all my fellow Algorand holders are already aware, governance is finally upon us! And for those who don't know, the Algorand Governance Program is essentially a way for the Algorand community to guide the project by committing their ALGO to 3 month governance periods, during which they'll be required to vote in governance polls in return for rewards (https://algorand.foundation/governance/proposal). Anyways, even though the signup phase for the first governance period has only just started, we've already been presented with our first governance poll. Titled "Governance Period no. 1, Vote no. 1, Measure no. 1" (G1V1M1), and what makes G1V1M1 so important is that it'll decide how rewards are distributed in return for governance for the foreseeable future. The two options are as follows: Option A "The Governance rewards amount for 2022 will be 282M Algos (70.5M per quarter) while maintaining the current simple locking mechanism: the rewards are distributed among the governors who vote and maintain the committed Algos in their wallet for the entire quarterly period. Governors failing to do so will lose their rewards, but will incur no further penalties." Option B "The Governance rewards amount for 2022 will be 362M Algos (90.5M per quarter) with a slashing mechanism: the rewards are distributed among the governors who vote and maintain the committed Algos in their wallet for the entire quarterly period. In case of failing to do so, Governors will be subject to an 8% slashing of their committed amount, on top of losing their rewards." Basically, Option A would leave the amount of rewards distributed each governance period unchanged, with no penalty for opting out of governance early, whereas Option B would increase the total governance awards available by around 15%, but introduce a 8% slashing penalty for anyone who withdrew their ALGOs from governance before the end of the period. What this means is that if Option B were to pass there would be more rewards available, but you would be putting down 8% of your ALGO each governance period as a deposit, and if you for whatever you reason needed to opt-out of governance early, that 8% would be taken from you and returned to the Algorand Ecosystem Resource Pool. Now of course the process is a bit more technical than what I've presented, but this is the basic rundown. If you're interested in reading into the specifics here's the link: https://algorand.foundation/governance-period-1-voting-measures. Personally, I think I will be voting against Option B because as much as I enjoy a higher percentage return on my investment, I don't want to run the risk of one day needing to opt-out of governance, or even forgetting to vote in a poll, and lose 8% of my return in the process. To any other ALGO holders who plan to take part in governance, which option do you lean towards and why? [link] [comments]
Whatever you do always send a small amount out to test before you do the real transaction Posted: 01 Oct 2021 06:42 PM PDT There have been many instances where people lose their hard-earned crypto because of some simple mistake. I personally know a few people that have unfortunately lost their crypto to the mainnet. Heck, sometimes it is not even your fault. There are some mechanics that can be utilized to change the address after you have copied it. Thus, transferring it to the wrong individual. Those nasty individuals have a special place in Hell waiting for them. So what do I do? I always send a small about and bit the extra transaction fees, I know it is not ideal but it is way better than losing my cryptos. Once the transfer has been made, I wait and see if it is successful. When I see the successful transfer, I would then send the amount I have intended to in the first place. It hurts my soul when I see people losing up to 4 figures to a wrong address and lose it forever. So do yourself a favor and double, heck, even triple check before you make any transaction! P.S. Enjoy Uptober [link] [comments]
Do any of you have crypto regrets you still can't get over? Posted: 01 Oct 2021 05:39 PM PDT I used to have over 74 ETH at one point and I lost it all because stupid me was trying to become a millionaire over night. I don't even want to explain how I lost it all. But one word: Gambling. I don't always think about it too hard but sometimes I wish I could turn back time. I wish I had left those ETH untouched. I would be on my way to a million right now. Heck I wouldn't even be working right now. I know there's people that have lost and way more than me. And some people have even killed themselves which is something I would never do. Money isn't everything but I'd be lying if I said it doesn't buy happiness. I know I'm young and there will be many opportunities down the line but still this sucks lol. [link] [comments]

Don’t miss out on your chance to be a part of Reddit’s next big thing Posted: 01 Oct 2021 07:49 AM PDT Recently there was a post that showed that only 3% of this sub has set up their vaults in order to receive moons. This is absolutely crazy, if you haven't set up your vault, you should do it now! I have a very strong feeling that community points are going to be the next story about Reddit that gets into the news. It's already happened with GME, Reddit just seems to attract interesting societal movements. I think that more social media sites are going to start rewarding their users for using them, this has been done before but never on the same scale as on Reddit. It can't hurt to open your vault. I have a feeling that about 5 years from now there will be a lot of people sad that they missed out on moons / tipped 1000's of dollars of them away. !remindme 5 years [link] [comments] |
