    Tether confirms what we suspected all along. They lend tethers with Bitcoin as collateral. The borrower then buys more Bitcoin and uses that as collateral to borrow more. And this repeats indefinitely.

    In the end a stablecoin is just another form of fiat. I'm old enough to remember when Real Bitcoiners were actively trying to destroy fiat.

    But now, to insult Tether is, somehow, to insult Bitcoin itself. Say anything bad about Tether, and an army of BTC maxis (and only BTC maxis) will show up to defend it.

    Isn't that a little strange? Why would Bitcoiners (who ostensibly want to see the end of fiat) defend Tether, which is basically fiat with less regulation.

    It's not due to some general defense of liquidity in the crypto market. Look around. There are many different stablecoins that markets could use (USDC, BUSD, UST, DAI, etc). If people just switched to those, there would be the same liquidity.

    So how did it happen that a big group of people who supposedly want to see the end of fiat currency become the cheerleaders for fiat?

    Another thought experiment:

    1. Print an unbacked USDT

    2. Use unbacked USDT to purchase BTC / commercial debt

    3. USDT is now backed by BTC / commercial debt

    4. BTC / debt markets go up (markets manipulated)

    Could it be possible that maxis are afraid their money printing + BTC-buying machine is about to stop working?

    So it happened again. I had to get some funds into one online service that accepts credit cards (5-7% fees) or Crypto (BTC, ETH, BCH, USDC).

    Credit card was out of the question.

    The other three had crazy fees. I chose BCH, paid 0.0003BCH fees ($0.18 at current rate), transaction verified in a few minutes and I'm good to go.

    I love that this option exists.

    Hi BCH community,

    Im developer looking to integrate crypto payments into my app and bitcoin cash looked like the best option for me. Nonetheless, I am really inexperienced in this sort of thing.

    I want to handle payments in 3 steps:

    1. Create bch address for user
    2. User sends bch to the address
    3. I verify the payment and add credits to his/her account

    Since my app is written in JS/TS it would be cool if there would be library for it in the same language.

    Should I just use Bitcoin technologies for it?
    If you can help me in anyway I would be very thankful.

    Bank the unbanked with yet another bank is just the first step. The second step is custodian accounts that report your activity and can be seized at any moment for any reason. That only happens on Bitcoin Core because, with Bitcoin Cash, you always host your private keys.

    No, wait for it. The first step and second step are both baked in the same pie, with custodian Bitcoin Chivo and all the services that the Bitcoin Core community promotes as if it was the real deal.
