Why does Elon keep talking about Bitcoin scaling on chain but has never mentioned BCH? Posted: 26 Oct 2021 07:53 AM PDT Don't "we" have anyone that can get a conversation started with Elon or at least a question to him? It is so strange that BCH is exactly what he is asking for but wastes his time wish Doge and Shib idiots. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Oct 2021 08:19 AM PDT Hey it's Friday and I figured we could use some humor. Thankfully Lightning generates a lot of that. This week I had a user try to tell me that Lightning works and can be used for tipping. Let's see how tipping with Lightning pans out! 1) /u/majorDFT says he's been using Lightning for 4 years and that Lightning works. conversation starts here.
2) So I ask him to tip me 1 sat via LN to prove it. I download the Breez wallet and generate an invoice for 1 sat for me.
4) Turns out Breez auto tacks on $1.25 to fund my channel and passes this cost via my receive invoice. /u/majorDFT doesn't understand how LN works so he thinks I'm talking an extra $1.24 instead of the 1 say I requested. He says I'm trying to scam him for $1.00
5) I then ask /u/majorDFT which LN wallet should I use per his recommendation. He gets evasive and just keeps spamming "All of them" over and over.
6) I then grab another LN wallet "Muun" which isn't tacking on this extra $1 in fees and generate and post an invoice. /u/majorDFT can be seen posting and being active on reddit since for the next 4 days but never replies. I assume he tried to tip me and failed and just dropped the topic. 7) 4 days later(today), /u/majordft claims he's still waiting for an invoice
8) I generate a fresh new invoice from Munn wallet and post it. And he says he's unable to tip me.
So yeah good luck tipping strangers via LN. Couldn't tip a bum on the street with LN because they need to have LN tokens first lmao. Edit1: /u/majorDFT failed to tip me 1 sat via LN after 5 days of trying. He did however show proof of a custodial solution working by sending money to himself. [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Oct 2021 10:54 AM PDT In my opinion people who value usability and having actual function in crypto should just completely disregard Market Caps and erase them from existence in their minds and their computers/smartphones. "TOPs" currently serve no other purpose than "getting fiat rich" for selected few. This is not why we are here and this is not what Bitcoin(Cash) was created for, therefore Market Caps are no longer relevant at all. [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Oct 2021 07:11 AM PDT BCH price often seems to delay its positives upward moves compared to BTC resulting in significant short term increases. At 609, BCH is still roughly 60% down from its high for the year while many other top coins have come within a few percentage points. Based on previous price action, we are going to do a huge move upwards into the four digits again within the next couple of weeks so long as the market holds steady to positive. Posted: 26 Oct 2021 02:10 PM PDT Hey everyone, I understand what proof of work and the mining thing is is and what proof of stake is but I can't understand how they validate transactions , what do they do? I know what digital signatures are just to save you explaining it. It's just the validation I don't get. so with proof of stake, validates are incentivized by inputting a security deposit higher than that of the transaction they're validating, so if it is false and they get caught, they lose their money. Can someone explain how they get caught? Also with proof of work, what's stopping a miner from simply validating a false transaction? They are still adding the transaction to the block, like how does it get flagged in the first place? [link] [comments] |
