BCH is the Bitcoin that still works like Bitcoin Posted: 29 Oct 2021 01:50 AM PDT What is BCH? BCH is a fork of the Bitcoin project which continues the original Bitcoin project and blockchain as "Electronic Cash" as described in the Bitcoin white paper. What is BTC? BTC is a fork of the Bitcoin project which changed the project goals from "Electronic Cash" to "Electronic Settlement" to be used as a low-frequency, high-fee settlement system for the Lightning Network. What is BSV? BSV is a fork of the BCH project which changed the project goals from "Electronic Cash" to "Distributed File Storage" to be used to store general purpose data on the blockchain. What is XEC XEC is a fork of the BCH project which abandoned the claim to Bitcoin altogether and is moving away from proof of work towards a form of proof of stake system called Avalanche. There are other forks of Bitcoin but they're dead end / bogus projects. In short, only BCH maintains the original "secret sauce" of
Bitcoin BCH has proven 200x scaling compared to Bitcoin BTC. If Bitcoin BTC can scale to 10M people, BCH can scale to 2B people. BCH is sound money for the whole world, not just the 1%. Middlemen hate it, but... BCH is the Bitcoin that still works like Bitcoin. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Oct 2021 02:34 PM PDT Just was on an exchange, checking prices and fees. I can't believe transferring an entire BCH costs less than a cent, arriving in less than 10 minutes. Even if the price of BCH were 100x higher, it still would be less than 15 cents. That's insane when considering that people pay $5-$10 or way more to do the same with BTC or even $50 with some ETH transactions. BCH is the future. The world just doesn't know it yet 🤯 [link] [comments]

Was just chaintipped for the first? time. Thank you to the BCH community. Posted: 28 Oct 2021 04:06 PM PDT A generous person sent me a little bit of BCH, like $1, on a post about why BCH should've been relevant to Elon Musk and AFAIK I never been chaintipped before. Perhaps a month or while ago I may have been but I didn't know what it was until now. Can't find it. Downloading and claiming through the Bitcoin.com wallet was smooth and quick. In my opinion tipping people is the best way to foster adoption and make people fond of the coin they receive, and BCH's technology is perfect and built for that. I don't know why BCH is so oppressed if the community is supportive. I've heard of read.cash for earning in this purpose but here on Reddit it shows me that if people genuinely like my post enough to tip, then it makes me feel welcome. So yeah; coming from a person who couldn't afford to buy as much BCH as I wish, thanks a million. [link] [comments]

Recovering Bitcoin from Dead Laptop That Used MultiBit HD Posted: 28 Oct 2021 06:27 PM PDT Hello, I had MultiBit HD (0.4.1, I think) on my laptop, which died recently. Also I hadn't used my bitcoin in a few years, so didn't realize MultiBit HD had been deprecated. What I would like to do is transfer any relevant information from MultiBit HD to my new laptop, and then transfer the bitcoin from MultiBit HD to a new wallet using a new program. I have access to the old laptop's hard drive (which works just fine). So I've copied over the AppData/Roaming/MultiBit HD folder, as well as the original Program Files/MultiBit HD folder into a backup folder on my new laptop. What do I need to do to regain access to my bitcoin on my new laptop? Any guidance would be appreciated (or a redirect if this is not an appropriate place for this question). Thanks for your help. Does anybody here have BCH payments integrated into their website to receive payments? Posted: 28 Oct 2021 01:02 PM PDT I have an exciting project which I'll be launching soon and looking to be paid in BCH in exchange for an online service. Id like to know if anybody on this sub is already doing this as I have a few questions. Id like to have the most instant payment possible but if I'm moving BCH between my own wallets currently, there's always a slight delay. I'm wondering if there is anything in setup I can do as a merchant to have automatic 0-confirmation payments? Any experience-based advice would be appreciated. Thanks 🙏 [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Oct 2021 09:29 PM PDT I was doing a swap of USDC to BCH, they gave me an ETH address ( 0x927B18c7bab6d05341b4Ddf612267dc879B04aC9) and I sent my USDC, now this is what they are saying, is it possibly true or is SideShit.ai scamming again?

Posted: 28 Oct 2021 07:04 PM PDT Turns out autumn is throwing a couple warm days my way, so I don't need a space heater yet! To be a bit more honest though, I was hoping to use my one (admittedly old) server to run not only a BCH full node, but also track the smartbch chain, as well as run other daemons like hybrixd, iguana (for Komodo/AtomicDex), etc. However, I was doing all of this alongside starting up an MSP, (and more importantly, marketing that MSP) and as much as I would have loved to just throw time and energy into getting all of the set up with monitoring and scaling, it just wasn't in the cards for right now. It's frustrating because this is such a COOL TIME for BCH. I hope there are others out there who can pick up the slack and make some awesome stuff! And if I ever find myself with room on my plate, you can bet that I'll be coming right back! [link] [comments]
LIFE TAKES TIME, BITCOIN AS WELL. Posted: 29 Oct 2021 01:47 AM PDT I would like to share my experiences in this sector to ask what you think: I started investing in crypto by only 2 years, luckily I timed right the start of the bull run so I'm pretty happy having invested in it over 10.000€ that grew really good in this bull run. Nothing compared to others past bull run, but having a job and depositing consistently in money for me is the best strategy rather than just waiting, I also think with time my portfolio will grow bigger and bigger as I continue doing as I said. I studied the history and properties of btc and also the possible risks (and their relative debunking theory). I discovered this subreddit by few months ago, when I had my real first unsolved doubt and I posted it on r/bitcoin. I was not happy of the comments received and started posting also here. I noticed that this is surely a better community, freedom of speech is always the best kind of solution in society. I'm still 80% in BTC, but looking forward also BCH in the next months. The moral of the story is that for new global adoption of this kind of technologies takes time to learn, but as I did others are doing and will do the same. I'm still not convinced that BTC will die, but I get the point that is being controlled. I would like to hear more of this kind of talks about btc being controlled to see what you think. I still think btc and bch will grow together, as well for ethereum and others more serious projects, and funny projects too. I think also this subreddit growing will get less paranoid and anxious as I read about. Peace, take care of each other! [link] [comments]

Help Us Create a Better SLP Indexer Posted: 28 Oct 2021 01:37 PM PDT I have just launched a Flipstarter campaign to build a new, better SLP indexer to replace the unmaintained token indexer, SLPDB. Our goal is to raise 29 BCH. Please consider donating BCH to support the SLP token ecosystem: During this Twitter Spaces meeting last week, we had an opportunity to discuss the value proposition for BCH and how it distinguishes itself from other cryptocurrencies. I responded that our greatest strength is the reliability of our infrastructure: the full node and the Fulcrum indexer. The BCH ecosystem needs this same reliability for our SLP token ecosystem. During this PSF Technical Meeting we discussed our efforts to integrate the existing alternative to SLPDB, listed in this SLP indexing review report. We discussed the frustrations involved with integrating them. SLP tokens already have a thriving ecosystem with tipping tokens, stable coins, games, NFTs, and governance tokens. BCH has a lot to lose by not supporting its token ecosystem. SmartBCH is no panacea, as similar indexers will be needed there too. Miner validated tokens (such as PMV3 and CashTokens) are at least 18 months away from being implemented. BCH needs reliable token infrastructure today. Please consider donating in order to help the BCH token ecosystem! Let's use this thread to discuss the Flipstarter campaign and questions around the SLP token ecosystem. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Oct 2021 03:40 PM PDT When you are onboarding someone completely new to BCH (or any coin for that matter) how do you deal with the 12 word seed phrase. Do you skip over the backup part while you are showing someone and let them backup the seed phrase later? In my experience some wallets allow you to do this (skip over the backup part) but some ask you to write it down as you are setting up a wallet. If you skip it do you then follow up with them later to make sure they've written down the seed phrase so they don't lose access at a later date? I've been thinking about this for a little while now and haven't seen an immediate answer. Thanks! [link] [comments]
