- Clear evidence of winning and losing the silicon lottery. All 3 are RTX 3090
- Current & average hashrate way lower than the reported one (since last 2-3 days). Any solutions ? Tried both Ethermine and Flexpool with Nbminer on HiveOS. Running 1 worker with 1 x 3080, 1 x 3090 and 1 x 3060Ti LHR.

Posted: 29 Sep 2021 06:14 AM PDT A buddy of mine and I have several beefy HPC systems leveraging great GPU performance. We build and sell these systems to a variety of customers but also have idle cycles and wanted to put these to use during off hours. We have the CUDA environment setup on Ubuntu. Questions:

How do I use the —Mode LHRLP in TRex? Posted: 29 Sep 2021 06:13 AM PDT I am running HiveOS with Trex miner and tried to put this command into the shell but it says it didn't exist. Still only getting 65 MHZ and I'm wondering how to get it to that magical 80 [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Sep 2021 05:20 AM PDT Tried asking this in the r/HiveOS but the community only lets trusted members post. Messaged mods to br trusted but no response. I'll be starting GPU mining soon. Looking up the different platforms that'd give me the best yield of my hardware. Unlike others such as Minerstat and Nicehash I cannot find a list of different hardware along with their profitability and hashrates I'd get if I were to mine on HiveOS. Can someone please let me know where can I find this information? Like a profitability calculator maybe? Or if you know the profitability of RTX 30 series on HiveOS that'd help too. Thankyou. Posted: 29 Sep 2021 05:04 AM PDT Hey there, I've been mining since Jan 2021 with my rtx3060ti non LHR mostly eth and profit spaw erg. Currently I'm thinking about selling my rig (it's a gaming pc) and investing this money into eth/Ada/erg like 50/25/25 What are your thoughts fellow miners? My rig is: ryzen 5 3600, rtx 3060ti non LHR, 16gb ram, 1tb SSD nvme, 750w gold power supply. Another I was thinking about (I'm yet more oriented towards 1st option) is adding some hash power (don't have a lot of money) to this rig to cap powersupply but idk what would be ok. Posted: 29 Sep 2021 05:03 AM PDT Got a BTC-S37. It unfortunately blew up in smoke, not sure why - I wired it correctly. I'll be returning it, looks like I'm sticking to risers :( [link] [comments]
HiveOS loses network connection a couple times a day Posted: 28 Sep 2021 11:00 PM PDT My other 30+ devices on my network doesn't have issues, but my 2 rigs running HiveOS loses network connectivity for 5-10 minutes, a couple times a day. (I get Discord notifications when my rig goes offline and comes back) The devices comes back online on its own and I haven't had issues for the past 3 months until last week. No network changes that I'm aware of. My desktop which is also mining has had no network issues. [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Sep 2021 12:34 AM PDT So I have two 410cfm fans exhausting air from my tent that contains 15 gpus 3060-3080s. I'm getting very good temps but when I feel under the door of my room theres air being pulled in like it feels like a fan, because of the negative pressure. Its such a strange situation, just wanna know if it's safe to keep it running like this in my room. Before, I just had my gpus dispersing the heat into my room and had no exhaust, just a fan blowing in from my window and my room would get so so hot on somedays. My room would go to 90 degrees+ Fahrenheit. But now with this tent and exhaust fans my room is 70-80 degrees and feels so much nicer. But I'm worried that having negative pressure is unsafe or dangerous? I read about carbon dioxide buildup or something, not sure. Anyways, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
