    Questions regarding XRPtoolkit for trading

    Posted: 18 Aug 2021 10:46 AM PDT

    US citizen.

I have not sold XRP is quite some time. I have used a few exchanges to buy XRP with USD (e.g., Bitstamp, Coinbase) and to trade into XRP (Bittrex) when several trading pairs were active.

I had always assumed I would just sell XRP to USDC when the time came on Bittrex or CB, but then the trading suspensions happened.

It was recommended that I use the Xrptoolkit with my hardware wallet (supported) to sell. I have not done this in the past. I see XRP/USD quoted at Bitstamp and Gatehub, and then a few other trading pairs including BTC and ETH. I'd prefer not to trade into either if at all possible.

    Questions:

1- What would/should I be trading into when using Xrptoolkit?

2- Are US residents still able to sell XRP on Bitstamp quoted USD? I stopped using Bitstamp a while back when the Credit Card companies started charging cash advance fees for purchasing crypto with a card. I hadn't followed it since.

3- Why would anyone use an exchange if the Xrptoolkit is so fast and low fee?

    Thanks

Another Option to obtain XRP in the USA

    Posted: 18 Aug 2021 04:01 AM PDT

Regularly people ask how to buy XRP from within the USA. One of the easiest and safest ways I think is to obtain them via the WanChain ecosystem.

WanChain has TRUSTLESS cross chain transfer of assets. If you can obtain usdt you can obtain XRP. Simplified the process is.

-Create a WanWallet. (you can also use metamask if you already use that)

    -Create a XRP Wallet

    -buy USDT on an exchange

-transfer USDT via wanchains Cross-Chain Asset conversion process into wUSDT to your wan wallet.

-Use WanSwap to swap wUSDT into wXRP

-Transfer wXRP via wanchains Cross-Chain Asset conversion process into XRP to your XRP wallet.

Wan chain fees are sub 1c so you can test this all out easily with $10

You do not need to use USDT other assets that can be transferred into and out of the WanChain blockchain via trustless cross chain transfer include:

    ETH

    LINK

    BTC

    MKR

    TUSD

    USDC

    UNI

    SUSHI

    LTC

Using the above method you can get XRP into your self custody.

EDIT: I should have also said if you are on an exchange that sells WAN then that simplifies the process a lot. Just buy Wan send it direct to your wan wallet on WanChain and then swap to wXRP and send that via cross chain to your XRP Wallet on the XRPLedger.
