    I am making plans to move into a small yacht for the rest of my life and was wondering if I can mine on it using a 5G hotspot. It will mostly be docked in a highly populated harbor.

    One fan not spinning or spinning slow. Tried changing risers and power cables. But same problem. When fully running it spins slowly. 3-4months old cards

    one rig in the office was offline and power cycle did not help to bring it back online... i drove to the office to check it out

    when i turned the rig on smoke quickly came out + the sound of a short circuit... i pulled the power cord out fast and checked the rig:

    SATA to PCIe 6 pin

    it was mining about 1.5 year fine... rig has only 3 GPUs (1x RX580 +2xRX 570) this was connected to a RX570... i don´t get it why this problem happens after that long time... really lucky it did not catch fire and burn down the whole office

    i was thinking with my OC settings with 90-100W per card is good and i do not need to worry about the cables get to hot

    good end: GPU is fine, found a spare PCIe connector directly from PSU... rig is running again

    As the title states, I'm looking into Merged Mining as a possible replacement for mining Eth.

    Does anything here have any suggestions? When I search Reddit/Google, I mostly find DOGE stuff, or things published from last year or older.

    850w psu won’t turn on 750w psu

    I have the splitter everything is connected but when I turn on pc 850 turns on 750 blinks and doesn't turn on. I checked all cables anyone know what the problem could be?

    after some changes to my rigs 1 worker not showing in pool stats but shares are increased accordingly. similarly reported hash is of one worker but realtime hash is correct.

    Mining Zil on Multiple Pools to increase profitability?

    Hello,

    Currently I'm dual mining ETH+ZIL using TeamRedMiner in a 4-GPU Rig. Since Ezil pool Zilliqa mining happens only once in approx 1 hour, isnit possible to mine on multiple Zilliqa pools to increase frequency of mining (Example: Auto-Switching between Rustpool, Shurdpool, Ezil)? If this is possible, we can mine Zilliqa thrice instead of once in an hour! I understand DAG needs to be refreshed and assuming there's time difference between each pools for each round?

    2 Molex to 6-pin adapter

    i have a 630 watt psu , but it's old and it doesn't have 6 pin connector for my rx 470 , can i use 2 molex to 6pin to power it up ?

    Anyone use teamredminer for dual mining eth and zil?

    i was looking at the read me from teamredminer and i has this script the put in comand line at the end of my eth script

    --zil -o stratum+tcp://eu.ezil.me:5555 -u <eth wallet>.<zil wallet>.<worker> -p x --zil_end

    why do i have to put my eth address in there since its in the first part with my pool and stuff for eth? i mean shouldent this just contain arguments for zil?

    How do you prevent losing afterburner profiles when switching/adding cards

    Every time I add or swap cards, I lose Afterburner profiles. Is there a way to save these? I found the "profile" folders; is it as simple as copying those folders before a swap and replacing them after? Thanks

    Questions about power setup safety

    Hello guys,

    Since march I built about 6 rigs that all mine in my home. I did extensive research especially about power setup PSU risers etc. so my house won't catch fire.

    The rigs are stable and happily mining with no issues whatsoever but still I got concerns and I would appreciate a "good to go" from you guys.

    I have several setups based on what parts i could find given the market:

    1. 2000W PSU for 6XRTX 3060. The PSU has 16 6+2PCIE cables and each cable powers the riser and the GPU. The GPU's are drawing 135 W on RVN. Is this ok?
    2. 2000W PSU for RTX 3060, 3060ti and 1080ti. 3060 and 3060 ti get riser and GPU power from the same cable. The 2 1080ti get one cable each and there's one cable powering both risers. Is this ok?
    3. 1 2000 W PSU powering 6X3070. And here i have 1 riser getting power from SATA. But since the rig is of 8 GPUS I'm planning to get a second PSU as soon as i get the missing GPUS. Is this a big issue? Should I rush the new PSU?
    4. 2Xsegotep GP900G powering 6 RTX 3060. same as before, all cables power 1GPU and 1 riser. in one case, where the GPU is bigger i use an extension cable for the GPU. The cable is a Thermaltake ( TtMod Sleeve Cable (Cable Extension) – White and Black (thermaltake.com) ) that i got for aesthetics for an old PC so it should be a high quality cable. Is this ok?

    For clarity when I say GPU and riser getting power from the same cable I mean as the cable is built (2X6+2 per cable), no splitters.

    Reliable inline fan for grow tent?

    I am getting tired of the heat. Going 220v and grow tent. What would you recommend for the fan? I will be using it along with 4x4x6.6 tent. I'v been looking at vivosun 8" metal inline fan but the reviews throw me off a bit.

    CPU to Pair With a GTX 1660 Mining Rig

    I'm attempting to build my first mining rig which will also double as a work station (sometimes). I'll be using 2 GTX 1660 graphics card. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a CPU to pair with these for maximum efficiency?

    Edit: Thought I'd mention that I will be using 8GB of RAM as well.

    3090 eth hashrate difference

    Hello,

    So i had my 3090 on a mining rig. Just that gpu. i was getting 118mhz.

    When i put my 3090 on my Gaming pc which everything is better than the mining rig, i get 105mhz with the same afterburner oc.

    Why do i get less?

    Unmineable: Mining RVN on one GPU & CPU on gaming laptop and one media center CPU. Less mining time required for a payout based on minimum withdrawal limit (immediate gratification)

    NiceHash: Selling hash power on gaming GPU and CPU. NHQM determines algo. Daily mining income approx 45% better than Unmineable. NH will move earnings on a low amount automatically to your NH wallet (for that immediate gratification), BUT, it will take 4x the time until you can withdraw from wallet. The move to wallet and wallet withdrawal ratio is 100 : 1.(0.001 : 0.00001000].

    Short game or long, more profitable game?

    I've gone back and forth, literally, when I hit a RVN payout, I do it then move to NH for a few weeks, then back.

    I'm stomped.

    Purchase a CPU.. This both should be compatible right? Why not post, Just show black screen.
