PowerColor Hellhound 6600xt results Posted: 12 Aug 2021 06:15 PM PDT Just got my hands on one of these. Phoenix miner mining Ethereum 32.5 mhs at 57W Tuning in adrenaline 1201 max freq 700 min freq 762 voltage Vram 2250 fast timings enabled No pow lim Fans auto Junction temps around 65c, but it definitely feels hotter to me Micron memory Will update if I find better settings. Please post yours if you can do better. Might be able to get better results modding the bios. Overall this seems on par with a 1660 super(31.5 mhs 70W), except more expensive. Edit - I updated this post to reflect basically the same settings as the Dizzy Mining youtube video linked below. I had forgotten to enable fast timings so that was why I wasn't able to bring it so low before. This is now definitely better than the 1660 super, but not by a whole lot (and it's still more expensive). [link] [comments]

My Mining Setup - 1.5/1.6 GH/s - ROI December Posted: 13 Aug 2021 07:57 AM PDT I wanted to post my mining setup. It's running on NiceHash because after all the setup that's what I felt like doing. There's a plethora of GPUs in my setup from oldest/crappiest to newest and it runs about 1.5-1.6 GH/s: 2 x Locked 3060 | 2 x 1080Ti | 3 x Titan XP | 9x 2070 Super | 14x Unlocked 3060 | 2x 3060Ti https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bifk0PN6u11wA2N2l2Hb2w5-ebjhGcOy/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/10OI8hBqMHbscrPHtAeoqPczUL3DW_KGB/view?usp=sharing This is running from a Double-Pole 50A breaker to 4 20A breakers. Full disclosure, this circuit COULD be overloaded, but I have less than 11A running on each of the 4 20A breakers for safety reasons. (Total of about 40A @ 120V) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HqFYlBkJKgUXNcOxss71MX8zweBNHheR/view?usp=sharing (I already owned the 1080Tis, Titan XPs, computers in cases, and the small rig from my first mining adventure) https://drive.google.com/file/d/137zvuMSm453izTiVwbePnUGARDS_DHq4/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cxr5nHSLFCS_t7DrrGE2sIrO0Iu2iydY/view?usp=sharing The equipment for this setup cost me an average of $625-$650/card when it was all said and done and my current ROI is December/January. Luckily I have a basement to put these cards in and there's a lot of area for the heat to dissipate. It still gets hot in the basement, but with the fans setup to push the cool air past the cards, and with one air duct releasing directly into the basement, I've had great luck and all but one Titan XP runs 3-4 degrees Celsius under the bottom end of "hot." https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CI7lTjnje-1WjPyNTYEGP60hpBMvd5hP/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/16HNQTEumM0BoWK7m2YV0KQIhzlmAMP2z/view?usp=sharing [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Aug 2021 03:53 PM PDT Hi everyone. I have 2 GPU's both of are Suprim X. I have 3080 and 3080 ti. So I want a good closed case for this build as it was normally my gaming build. The main problem is dust. My old card was pretty dusty so open case is not an option unfortunately. I'm open to all suggestions. I currently have Lian Li o11 dynamic but will sell it. My second gpu will arrive on Monday so I'm not in a hurry. Right now mobo is lying on the desk and pretty dusty and I would love to reduce that and take good care of both of my cards. msi afterburner- how do I enable fan control for each individual fan on my 3090 fe? Posted: 12 Aug 2021 03:29 PM PDT Here is a video of someone with the option of setting individual fan speeds. I have gone through the settings in msi afterburner, tried Google, youtube, reddit search and have found nothing. [link] [comments]
should I put heatsink on back of 20 series gpus? Posted: 12 Aug 2021 02:19 PM PDT I saw people doing it with 30 series to drop vram temps. I currently have 2x 2060s (not super) and 3x 1660 Super all from Gigabyte with a plastic back plate. which isn't the best but they were cheap models so... I had One old intel stock cooler, I took the heatsink off and put it on back of one of 2060s. guess what, I thought because of plastic garbage no heat will be transferred but the heatsink got SOO SO hot!! I can buy a bunch of intel stock coolers and take their heatsinks for some money, my question is: is it really a good investment (or It's just a 30 series thing)? thanks [link] [comments]

Running a x13 3070 FE rig. Have x2 more 3070 to add but rig won't boot when if the cards are added. Troubleshooting
I feel like I'm hitting some sort of board limit but I know the ryzen 1300x has 24 pcie lanes and 16 for graphics but I doubt this is the problem. I'm just about to test running HiveOS from usb to utilise the pcie lanes from the SATA controller but not hopeful. (update: made no difference) One thing I have noticed is that two of the pcie splitters are the same model so I'm going to test another splitter tomorrow which is a totally different model to the other two but I doubt it'll have any effect. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas of what I can try as I'm pretty much out of ideas. [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Aug 2021 12:34 PM PDT Hey, So I've been googling and can't work out a good answer and every thread I find is quite old. I really want to get a track on what I'm spending on electric v what I'm pulling in on coins. I started a few months back running xmrig and t-rex for monero and Eth as a bit of a play around and bit the bullet on a 3080 the other day. I was just using pools to start with but all I get is what I put into it, none of the other data. Minerstat, AwesomMiner look like good ways to do this, but Rainbow Miner also looks cool! I think coin switching is the way to go, but I'm just looking for peoples experience of getting the info! [link] [comments]

Question about PCI-E 3.0 16x risers Posted: 12 Aug 2021 10:41 AM PDT Hi everyone. I will be receiving another gpu and I have 2 of the phanteks pcie 3 16x riser. Would connecting them be safe ? I don't have enough 6+2 pcie headers so I can't use standard risers for now. [link] [comments] |
