Don’t mine Ergo and Raven and send it to Gate.io

    Posted: 31 Aug 2021 08:46 AM PDT

    They change wallet addresses.

I was mining raven from my 3070ti since many days but my Gate.io deposit address changed automatically, the mined coins are gone now. It never happened on other pools, this is a terrible exchange

What is everyone mining with their LHR cards?

    Posted: 31 Aug 2021 09:04 AM PDT

Just wondering what everyone is mining with their LHR cards?

ETH (with or without partial unlocks?) RVN? ERG? FIRO?

I'm personally mining RVN because at the time it was the most profitable. Asking now because I noticed ERG is coming up and over RVN on the What to Mine sites in terms of profitability.

I have 3060 and 2x 3080Ti, all are hard LHR cards mining RVN.

Everything else is mining ETH (1070Ti, 2x1080Ti, 3060 nerfed, and 3090)

    ETH total hash rate is 290 MH/s - about $20-24 USD/day

    RVN total hash rate is 124 MH/s - about $12-16 USD/day

Need advice on how to add one more GPU in my rig.

    Posted: 31 Aug 2021 08:49 AM PDT

I need advice on how i should connect my gpu and risers from my PSU so that i can add more GPUs.

For context im using Corsair RM1000x, unfortunately it has only 3 PCIE cable which is 8pin on the PSU side and split 6+2 pin on the other side.

So far, one cable is powering the 3070ti since it requires 2x8pin. One cable powers the 3060ti. and the last cable is powering the riser.

    For reference: https://i.redd.it/evotsnd4aak71.jpg

I'm planning to add one more GPU. any suggestion on how to modify the connection or should I just add one more PSU? I'm planning to just use molex to power the riser to free up the PCIE cable connected to the riser.

    Has anyone done this?

    Posted: 31 Aug 2021 08:28 AM PDT

From what I can tell the absolute best graphics card is currently the A6000. The price of this alone is about $5000 per card. Is anyone rich enough to string up 8 or so of these at once to see what kind of hashrates you can get? Can anyone post a video or link to said mining rig-I want to see this god of a beast setup.

New EVGA 3090 xc3 ultra hybrid thermal throttling even with new pads.

    Posted: 31 Aug 2021 05:39 AM PDT

I replaced the backside chips with Thermalright ODYSSEY THERMAL PAD 2.0mm and I'm still hitting 110c with 1300 on the memory after 5 minutes. I even replaced the fans on the rads to arctic p12 pwm pst. Added an aluminum plate on the back side of the GPU with a fan blowing on it, and since that didn't help I switched the fan the other way around, didn't help either.

Anyone got any clue on how to shave off these insane temps?

Efficient GPUs............! got annoyed to tell people about 3090 being not efficient and should be used on specific cases... still they argue. so here screen grabs off RedPanda Mining.

Solar Hybrid Mini Split AC System for Dedicated Cooling?

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 10:32 PM PDT

Anyone running a solar mini split AC system to cool their mining rigs?

I have a closet that shares a wall with the exterior. I'm thinking I could easily punch a hole and hang the heat pump on the exterior wall and have the cold side blowing into the interior (obviously) where the mining rigs are. I've seen hybrid mini splits that can be direct wired to solar panels, so the sun powers the system during the day and the grid powers it at night. There's no need to contact the utility company for the solar because the panels don't actually connect to the grid (they're wired direct to the heat pump).

It seems like this would be a pretty good use of solar for home mining. I figure I could DIY a single split for $2-5k total if I don't need city permits. Six panels probably average 1.8kw. So if I'm paying $0.10/kwh during the day and the panels run 10 hours a day then I'm saving $1.8/day. This assumes that I'm offsetting my central AC costs watt-for-watt though, and I would expect the mini split running off direct solar DC to be more efficient (quite a bit more efficient) than running off of grid AC power. So maybe I save $2.0/day. It's not that much savings, but after taxes, tax credits, and depreciation it pays off a lot faster.

It would make a sweet closet setup.
