So I want to invest in these 3 cryptos but I don't know what percentage to invest in each one. ETH, ADA and VET. I also have a high risk tolerance.

    Posted: 14 Aug 2021 01:17 AM PDT

I don't have that much money to invest in, but I want to invest in whatever has the highest posible upside regardless of the risk. I was thinking of doing 40% ADA 40% VET and 20% ETH; does this seem good?

Edit: First of all I wanted to say thanks to everyone who has responded. And secondly, I think I have a better idea what I want to do now, but it seems like there are a lot of different opinions. Some people prefer more ETH than ADA, others vice versa, others are talking about other coins; so basically there are many paths to take depending on each ones preference.

    How to ACTUALLY DYOR

    Posted: 14 Aug 2021 07:09 PM PDT

When looking at recent projects in the crypto space, many patterns start to appear. The most common pattern is that of failure. With coins being made every day, it is unsurprising that the majority of these projects end up going nowhere. Even worse than this, many of these coins turn out to be nothing more than scams, designed to separate people from their hard earned money. But what about the successful projects? what do they have in common? This is one of, if not the most important question to know the answer to when deciding where to put your money.

During my time in the crypto community, I have noticed three major factors that contribute to the success of a project. The first and most important factor is the community that surrounds the coin. This includes devs, moderators, and community members alike. Without a team of hard working people, a project will go nowhere. The quality of the team is huge in determining how well the coin will perform. Just as important however, if not more important is the quantity, or size of the community itself. You can have the best idea in the world, but without anyone to hear it, nobody will know. It is the coins that have both a high quality dev team, and a large and enthusiastic community that stand the best change of becoming the next success story in crypto.

Another major factor is the coin itself. What are the tokenomics like? Who developed this coin? Can it be dumped? Is this a safe investment? These are all questions that all need to be answered before investing in a coin. The projects that have succeeded in recent months are those with whale taxes, anti dump tokenomics, and regular paid out reflections. The most successful projects are also those developed by professionals with a deep understanding of their field. The reason for this is obvious; the crypto community is flooded with scammers. When devs really know what they're doing, it is shown in the way they conduct themselves, and their competence is demonstrated by the performance of their coin.

The third factor of determining a coins success is the idea behind the project itself. What is its utility? What does this project offer outside of its value as an investment? For some coins, the answer is nothing. Many projects get away with not having any actual use or ideas outside of their coin. This model has succeeded in the past, but is now in the process of dying off. This I see as a good thing. Without any real function, these projects are nothing more than ponzi schemes in cool outfits. For a coin to be truly successful, it has to be part of a larger project or platform that has value outside of the coin.

In summary, the three factors shared by nearly all successful projects are a strong community, a well developed coin, and a functional value that goes beyond the coin itself. With all these bases covered, I believe it would be incredibly difficult to fail.

The project that I see currently hitting all these marks is called Ronin. Developed by a team of professionals who have had full careers in relevant fields, Ronin is so much more than a coin. Ronin is an ecosystem that hosts NFT based gaming. These are created by people at the top of their field in game design. Not only does this model appeal to people who have an interest in online gaming, but it allows digital creators to earn money with their artwork, and brings together people from all different niches.

The community has been growing at an exponential rate. With AMAs taking place at a minimum frequency of once per week, the community around Ronin has proven itself to be strong and active. Currently the project has not yet launched. The strategy of the Ronin team is to build up the strongest community possible before launch, and carry the momentum until the very end. With the tokenomics in place, it is my belief that this lunch will be a massive success. The way Ronin aims to prevent large dumps is by implementing a 20% sell off limit every two hours. This means that the coin could decrease in value by at most 20%. This will of course not happen, as it would require everyone to sell the max amount of coins at once. With these measures in place, I would be astonished if this coin does not multiply in value by a substantial degree.

For more information on Ronin, I would highly encourage you to watch their AMA. I believe that the best way to properly evaluate a coin is to familiarize yourself with the devs, and get a sense of how they operate, conduct themselves, and run their project. Also linked below is their telegram group, which I would encourage you to join. There will be another AMA this Sunday at 7 PM PST. People always say to do research but it is rare that anyone does. Well now you can. Attend the Ronin AMA, or watch the previous AMA, and decide if this is a coin and team you would like to invest in.

The AMA can be found by searching "Ronin AMA" on YouTube. It is the one that is an hour long. The telegram can be found by searching "roningamez"

Why do people still think about investing their money through centralized exchanges?

    Posted: 14 Aug 2021 01:05 PM PDT

Personally, I've had enough. Honestly, I have only tried Robinhood and that was the worst decision I have ever made. This exchange literally cost me half my investment capital in that GME issue.

Another news I have read about Thodex. The platform literally vanished! This is why I am going to give decentralized exchanges a trial. At least these platforms can guarantee a 100% freedom on investing in whatever assets I want, without the interference of any 3rd party. I have also read about a dex called Merrymen, and they are airdropping 20% of their tokens for investors of Robinhood, maybe I can benefit from that.

It is a crucial step to choose the right platform to invest in, I mean this is as important as choosing your assets.
