Which Bitcoin is the real Bitcoin that you've heard about in the news? Do your due diligence!

    Posted: 03 Aug 2021 12:04 AM PDT

Bitcoin split in 2017, with one side of the split retaining the precious brand name, and the other side of the split retaining the original technology plan.

It's unfortunately true that most buyers are not technologically savvy and buy the brand name they recognize. But is this a sound strategy going forward?

If you want to buy the continuation of the Bitcoin: a Peer-to-peer Electronic Cash System project and get the coin that works like Bitcoin worked from 2009-2017, you should buy Bitcoin BCH. This is the Bitcoin that works like Bitcoin worked when it was getting wildly adopted by Microsoft, Steam, Dell, and the now-defunct Silk Road: fast, cheap transactions that work like cash, and blocks that get bigger as the economy grows.

If you want to buy Bitcoin, the name brand, and take a gamble on the unproven Lightning Network concept, you should buy Bitcoin BTC.

If you want to make money without doing your due diligence you're going to have a bad time regardless.

Roger Ver his Bitcoin.com exchange is not giving back his customers their SLP tokens.

    Posted: 02 Aug 2021 12:33 PM PDT

All SLP tokens deposits and withdrawals have been offline for over 31 days now. Lots of people have bought SLP tokens that can not be sold any more as the SLP order books are empty.

This effectively means that BCE is stealing SLP tokens that they don't want to give back. (because these tokens can be sold on other exchanges that do have liquidity or worse case put up for sale on memo.cash)

This is a disgrace! When you talk about this on the BCE telegram group, they will delete your messages.

SatoshiPyramid raised ~200 BCH in funding which will be used in the development of a Bitcoin Cash App Store.

    Posted: 02 Aug 2021 07:08 AM PDT

    Hello everyone,

On behalf of the team we would like to thank the Bitcoin Cash community for the success of SatoshiPyramid. SatoshiPyramid is on a very short list of non-exchange-based Bitcoin Cash products to have hit seven-figure revenue and to have done so profitably. Even more impressive, this was achieved in the first game, within one week of launch. We say this not to brag, but to stress the significance of this finding.

As theorized in our last post prior to the explosion of SatoshiPyramid - Speculation is the first use case of crypto, in the same way that email was the first use case of the Internet. While email is no longer the defining use case of the Internet, it was the use case that bootstrapped it. The Internet could not get to YouTutbe/Uber/Netflix, without first going through email. Blockchains cannot get to peer-to-peer cash for the world, without first going through speculation. The future blockchain of the world will likely be the blockchain that wins the initial speculative use case. You don't have to like it, but you do have to accept it.

Aligned with this theory (as promised), we are using the ~200 BCH in funding to build an App Store primarily on Bitcoin Cash. While the aim of the App Store is to one day build state of the art decentralized applications rivaling that of YouTube, Uber, Netflix, etc… We have decided to initially seed the App Store with on-chain based applications rooted in speculation. As proven by SatoshiPyramid (and many other industry players), speculative games are the best at onboarding users, virality, and fundraising. Which also happen to be the three most important components of building an App Store.

We are in the process of building our next speculative-based application, which we expect to be many orders of magnitude larger than SatoshiPyramid. It will be ready for release soon. Looking farther out, we have a list of killer-applications lined up deeper than the 2017 BTC mempool. In time we will make the first game of SatoshiPyramid look like the 1st grade bake sale that it is. After we have released several successful games, we will group them (and their users/virality/fundraising) together as the founding group of a Bitcoin Cash App Store.

P.S. There are currently no plans for a Game 2 of Satoshi Pyramid.

    BCH giveaways !!!

Head over to BitTippers for the first of a new generation of contest's and giveaways. BitTippers started over 6 years ago with the intention of spreading adoption, getting a few bits in the hands of new guys while having a bit of fun.

Back then we used by BTC it was cheap and fast and easy to send back then, kinda like BCH is today, kinda like bitcoin was always supposed to be.

So pop on over, reply to this post https://www.reddit.com/r/BitTippers/comments/owlq77/the_first_new_giveaway_you_excited/

You will notice around the same time as I send you a tip you will receive a special flair next to your name that will be only visable in r/BitTippers , this flair will day "new guy" and the date you joined BitTippers, this is to show how long you have been a member BEFORE you create your own giveaway post and at that point you will get a new flair that shows you are a BitTipper. This system is designed to reduce the amount people who just take and never give because that's no good is it ? In BitTippers we want people to pay it forward, to share the love, users who just try and collect tips without contributing will soon find themselves banned.

So head over , say hi, take part, even post up your own giveaway if you up to the challenge 👍👍

Please note, the sub a mess at the moment as I abandoned it years ago ! But if you guys like it and it gets some traction then we can slowly clean it back up

    Anyone remember BitTippers ?

    Posted: 02 Aug 2021 07:48 AM PDT

Back before BCH was a thing, back when BTC was like... well was like BCH and you could actually use and send it, I ran a sub called BitTippers.

I'm thinking of bringing it back,

It was a simple idea, get some bits in the hands of new people so they could try out bitcoin without the hassle and risk of trying to buy some. All in a fun and friendly atmosphere, where help and advice from experienced bitcoin users. And it worked, it was quite successful running for a couple years before fees started to creep up and changetip the tipbot we used ran into problems eventually closing. It's crazy for newer people to understand but BTC used to have tiny fees too ! So low that changetip gave free withdraws covering the tx fee !!

So why bring it back now ? Well for reasons I don't want to go into (drama on read cash lol) I needed to prove I had some experience in platforms that revolve around tipping so dug out Ivor's old password and we'll, now I'm back as Ivor, why not give BitTippers another go ? There going to be 1 very obvious difference this time, we need to use the bitcoin that still works. BCH.

I guess as for tipbots chaintip is most popular ? Although any method is fine and being peer to peer electronic cash, straight forward addresses going to be a option. We will see.

So what you guys think ? Bring back the sub ?
