Replacement Fans - Palit RTX 2070 Posted: 10 Jul 2021 08:17 AM PDT Hello all I have the same 2070 as the one pictured here: https://quietpc.ca/images/products/palit-ne62070015p2-1062-3d-large.jpg but the bearings are going in one of the fans. I've found that there's some eBay sellers selling palit fans for 1060/1070 I don't doubt they're the same but wondered if anyone had any advice about which ones to purchase https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233847489777 (and yes they do measure 85mm) Thanks! Posted: 10 Jul 2021 07:41 AM PDT Hello everyone! So I'm building my first mining rig and I plan on using 4 3070 EVGA FTW3 Ultra in my build. The projected wattage that I found was going to be 1225W (220W TDP per card + 100W for other components x 1.25). I was wondering if a 1200W would be sufficient or if the extra 25W is actually enough of a dealbreaker to just get a higher PSU. Any input is appreciated. Thank you! [link] [comments]
AMD cards and Radeon Software.. which version are y'all using for mining? Posted: 09 Jul 2021 09:47 PM PDT I'm using 21.3.1 because all the newer ones cause issues for me. Any suggestions? I use a 6800 XT and Phoenixminer for mining and always revert back to 21.3.1 after never reaching my hashrate cap(64.6) on any of the newer updates Thoughts? [link] [comments]
Stable kernel for Radeon VII mining on ubuntu Posted: 09 Jul 2021 11:57 PM PDT I have been trying a couple kernel, and they all have different issues so far. For example: 5.4.0-77 - I can't build the amdgpu driver at all 5.4.0-54 - While the driver can be built, then I cannot set the core voltage or clock 5.11.0-22 HWE, While I can build the driver and set core clock and voltage, I cannot apply the change in kernel to enable C mode for Radeon VII. Following the guide: https://github.com/todxx/teamredminer/blob/master/doc/ETHASH_TUNING_GUIDE.txt Step 4: Go to the line where you see GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT and insert these parameters inside the quotes and then save/quit the file:
Step 5: Update grub:
Step 6: Reboot your mining rig for the changes to take effect and go back into shellinabox. Step 7: Double check if you did the previous steps properly by using the following command. If you did everything properly, you should see 'block size is 10-bit'
But the last line did not return anything. However, I remember a certain previous kernel did return 10 bit. In short, what kernel works best for you? And maybe what version of ubuntu? Thanks. [link] [comments]
Is anyone else vaguely terrified of their mining rig? Posted: 09 Jul 2021 10:40 AM PDT Got my first frame set up this week with five cards, two PSU's. ~1200w at the wall. It tripped a breaker on a normal power strip so I put it on a 20A amp rack mount PDU on a 15A building breaker. It seems to be operating safely but man it's like running a space heater all day that's possessed by Satan. [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Jul 2021 10:49 AM PDT Does anyone order GPUs from Alibaba? And if so which vendors have you had personal experience with that you trust ? Trying to get at least 6-7 AMD 6800s/6700s depending on availability and price [link] [comments] |
