Best way to lower memory temp? Posted: 21 Jul 2021 07:23 AM PDT Just bought a 3070ti founders to use in my main gaming rig and the mem temp is super hot. I know it's GDDR6x and that's kinda what you expect but what do I do to get it more in like the 80c range rather then 100c range. And yes I already have it power limited to be around 86c but I didn't know if I could replace some Thermal pads or something. Thanks for the help [link] [comments]
AMD voltage settings not being applied Posted: 21 Jul 2021 07:46 AM PDT I have an RX 470 4gb and an RX 580 8gb mining RVN and ETH, respectively. I've been trying to optimize power consumption, and right now I have a manual overclock in the AMD Radeon Software with both core and memory voltages set to 950 mV for both cards. In teamredminer, the VDDC is displayed as 950 mV for both cards, as expected. However, GPU-Z says the 470 is at 937.5 mV and the 580 is at 1018 mV. A different program, Speccy, says voltages for all GPUs are 950 mV. So is GPU-Z making up weird readings, or are my voltage settings not being applied? Any ideas why the voltage isn't being set right would be great. Power draw was 490W, with a 500W PSU for the desktop and a 300W PSU for auxiliary power to the 470 + riser. [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Jul 2021 07:30 AM PDT Is it too late to start mining this year, roi in around 10 months if prices stay simlar, i can get a few 570s 8gb and a few 1080s so im asking would this be a good investment or is it too late for ether? [link] [comments]

3090FE Active Waterblock Temps Posted: 20 Jul 2021 11:22 PM PDT Hello all, I was looking for some additional temp readings for folks running a 3090FE with an active cooling water block. I wanted to share some of my data to see if I can make any improvements to my overall efficiency. Waterblock: Byskski N-RTX3090FE-TC w/ thick active cooling block Side panel case has been left off as well. Posted: 20 Jul 2021 07:10 PM PDT Scenario: MSI Z390A-Pro Motherboard with most recent BIOS (PCIe above 4G memory enabled/Link Speed is Gen 2 and Windows 10 WHQL support set to UEFI) (Onboard audio disabled) 6 x Zotac 1660 Super with NVidia driver 470.05 Have tested all cards, risers, and slots. As soon as I have 6 GPUs they are detected by Windows and installed but one will have an error 43. If I uninstall the GPU with the issue, it is reinstalled with the same issue. I have been able once or twice to get 6 cards detected and working without error, but more often than not one has an error 43. Any suggestions? [link] [comments]
How to tell if my 3060 ti is LHR or not? Posted: 20 Jul 2021 08:08 PM PDT Please don't reply "it'll say LHR" on the box. Some retailers despite Nvidia's announcements that the boxes would be labelled are completely ignoring it. Also, just a heads up - only the 3070 ti and 3080 ti are always LHR, 3060 ti can be either depending on date of manufacture. I bought mine from bestbuy today. If you know ending characters of the P/N for non-LHR, or LHR that'd be a big help as I can't build a PC for another couple weeks to find out myself what it is. [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Jul 2021 03:08 PM PDT Hello everyone, i have a question and since i try different forum but i did not get a answer on my question, i was thinking to put it here because i think that some of you do have answere on that question. A friend of mine is building a custom liquid cooling system with AORUS GeForce RTX™ 3090 XTREME WATERFORCE WB 24G Gallery | Graphics Card - GIGABYTE Global. He is wondering what is the maximum liquid pressure applied to the cooling system, before GPU explodes - starts leaking. He is wondering if he could use a water pump with 20L/min flow and max. of 1.5 bars of pressure. [link] [comments]
How to keep mining rigs cool? What do you guys do? Posted: 20 Jul 2021 11:02 AM PDT I've got over 25 GPUs now in my garage, I need ideas with regards to air flow. Shall I get air duct fans for intake and exhaust from outside of my garage? Room temp is averaging 30-34c as in the UK, we are having a rare visit from the Sun 🇬🇧☀️ Do you place exhaust fans on the input side of the GPUs and exhaust at the rear? (This is how I've got mine set up). I've notice some. GPUs vent to atmosphere from the side, which conflicts with the push/pull of air flow of the normal fan placement on rigs. [link] [comments] |
