Posted: 19 Jul 2021 04:41 AM PDT A couple months ago, I wrote a crypto trading algorithm that detects the the most volatile coins on Binance in real time across all of their 1500+ crypto assets. The idea is to detect the beginning of a surge trend in order to ride the trend as it develops. I has trailing stop loss and a couple of other pretty neat features to help maximise the profit and it's highly configurable. It's been tested by around 2000 people already with various degrees of profitability - based on the user's config. I am now working on creating a web app for it so that's more user friendly than running scrips. Many of you were really interested in the app so I'm happy that some of you have joined in the development of this project! If you're interested to be updated on the project's development and to be part of our beta testing release, you can join the subreddit that I just created for it. Bear in mind it's all bearbones right now, but I will post more regular updates on this particular project on there :) We chose the name after the Norse God of Knowledge - the badass Mimir. https://np.reddit.com/r/MimirTrading Or if you want to register your interest for beta testing, just go here: Lastly, if you're good with code and would like to try out the alpha version check out the github repo: https://github.com/CyberPunkMetalHead/Binance-volatility-trading-bot [link] [comments]

Blockchain Games That Gamers Want to Win Posted: 19 Jul 2021 05:28 AM PDT Gamers want a great game more than anything else, and crypto hasn't delivered a great game yet. Blockchain games aren't going to capture the public imagination until there's a genuinely great game. It looks like the industry thinks gamers will one day say, "Oh cool, I can own my digital items? Let's play this blockchain game!" That's not how it's going to work. This premise won't fly until gamers say, "This blockchain game is so cool! Oh, hey, neat, I guess I really own my digital items?" Gamers want to play great games. If they can get additional benefits out of playing, great, but it needs to be a great game first and foremost. Play-to-Earn will always feel more like work-to-earn as long as the game is boring compared to distractions available on platforms such as the PlayStation or Nintendo Switch. NFTs and Video Games: The Next Big Thing? Decentraland co-founder Ari Meilich is launching a new game company named "Big Time Studios," which has raised $10.3 million from prominent investors like Sam Bankman-Fried, Ashton Kutcher, Digital Currency Group, and Circle. "The Hash" panel discusses the potential evolution of video games and their intersection with the non-fungible token (NFT) market. Volume 90% As I was working on this post, I went and watched a few videos for the upcoming game Chainmonsters, from Dapper Labs, the company Crunchbase credits with $357 million in investment. The game is still in alpha, it should be noted, and it's updating all the time, including recently slicking up its graphics. But the game is basically one where you wander around a world gathering up little monsters, playing them in fights to increase their experience and make more badass monsters. What does that sound like? It sounds like Pokémon. Next on the list is one of the most awaited game for the year, I am talking about none other than Vulcan verse which is all set to launch on 25th July 2021. VulcanVerse is a virtual world set in the Greco-Roman era. It is a stand-alone game that uses blockchain technology to enable users to truly own their land and assets. Its detailed lore is written by the authors of Fighting Fantasy, a series of successful single-player role-playing gamebooks created by Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone. Additionally, the virtual world boasts complex gaming tools and multiplayer game-playing functionalities. VulcanVerse is blockchain-based, with key items in the virtual world existing as NFTs on a purpose-built blockchain. Its virtual world can be accessed via a downloadable application that recently became available on Google's Play Store. It's hard to describe, in a good way. So crypto will need to make something comparably impressive and drop immutable in-game items somewhere in its guts before gamers really get excited about this industry. It takes a lot of money and a lot of talent to put together a game that really captures gamers' attention, but a few people in this industry have made a little money, or so I'm told. So far, the blockchain gaming offerings have largely been slightly lower fidelity derivatives of past video game blockbusters, as if entrepreneurs in this space lack conviction that a truly original, crypto native game can be really good. Need help avoiding liquidation on KuCoin leveraged perp futures contract Posted: 19 Jul 2021 07:08 PM PDT You know that point in life when you know you f'd up and the best you can do is damage control, that's where I'm at right now. So, any help you guys can provide would be much appreciated. I will try to keep it short and sweet. I will add that I have searched the internet and I can find numerous calculations online but they never add up or make sense to me. Mainly bc none of them focus on showing how to add to a current position to see where it's effect on liquidation price. Here it goes: I started trading USDT backed perpetual futures on leverage on KuCoin I was of course confident the price wouldn't drop enough to liquidate my 5x leverage position. As the price kept creeping lower I kept buying more to prevent liquidation, and kept digging a deeper and deeper hole. I want to know if there is a simple calculation to figure out my what my liquidation price would be if I buy X number of shares at Y price to my current position. I don't even know what information is necessary for this calcualtion, so will list everything I see. Currently: Shares: 35,000 Entry Price: $0.7802 Liquidation Price: $0.5047 Margin: $2040 Realized PNL: -$201.62 Unrealized PNL: -$8322 Mark Price: $0.5426 Current leverage: 13.56x So. Last time the market dropped and the price plummeted, I started buying more shares at the lowest point possible, right above my liquidation price and therefore moving my liquidation price down slightly. But as my stack grows it is of course taking more funds to do so. Now as the price is dropping again I have buy orders in, with no leverage, right above the current liquidation price as well as predicted next liquidation prices as well. Is this the best strategy? I do have "Auto-deposit margin" on, but I don't trust it, plus if I am buying incrementally on the way down I feel like mathematically I should be able to extend my liquidation price even lower than just one big purchase right before the current liquidation price. Is that true? Also, I currently have an extra $7k in the account to prevent liquidation. I basically want to figure out whether or not I should move more funds into the account just in case. Any help with strategy or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks! [link] [comments]

Who else HATES the recent surge in “conservationists” in the crypto market. Posted: 19 Jul 2021 11:25 AM PDT I like to call them "Crypto Karens". It's like I'm seeing them everywhere now ! Like go to communities that REALLY harm nature, but crypto ? Yeah crypto uses up energy for electricity but it's nothing compared to other industries like mining, construction and chemical waste. Still for some reason they choose to annoy us their "crypto is bad" articles. Like shut up and do your research first. Yet they never choose to talk about how crypto is trying its best to be efficient. Some companies are working on that and I never see anyone talking about it… Brokoli is using up to 90% of the fees we pay in ways that mitigate the energy waste from each transaction for example. And there are many other companies working on similar ideas too. I honestly don't know what the purpose is is from all their blabbing or if they even have an agenda in the first place. I think they're just delusional. [link] [comments] |
