Secure DeFi trading environments set to spur mainstream crypto adoption

    Posted: 08 Jul 2021 08:26 AM PDT

Blockchain and cryptos are gaining wider acceptance not only from institutional investors but the wider community as well, which means there are finally the conditions for innovative projects to thrive. The DeFi ecosystem has exploded in popularity in the last few years, making financial instruments automated and more democratic. With this amount of investment and excitement, more lending platforms, decentralized exchanges (DEX), and payment platforms are being created in an effort to get a share of this growing industry

With the right tools and the right approach, crypto & Defi can do a lot more than the banks can. Here's a detailed writeup of the current state and challenges in the DeFi space, with a focus on technical and economical security. It's a bit lengthy but I think it can actually serve as a foundation for future research in DeFi! https://static.perez.sh/research/2021/defi-sok/defi-sok.pdf

So let's stop jumping and chasing green candles. Research, look at what is making the Defi product that you are interested in thrive, then delve a little deeper, highlight what goes into developing that particular app(s). Read on and see why this is such an exciting space to be in https://micky.com.au/secure-defi-trading-environments-set-to-spur-mainstream-crypto-adoption/

Shit coins are ruining crypto market reputation...

    Posted: 08 Jul 2021 08:40 AM PDT

And it's not just about reputation or prestige. There's so much money on the line and the problem is that these shit coins are flooding the market. This really drives investors away.

What's even worse is that shit coins like these get in the way of legit projects with real potential. Some companies are taking action and providing value to their currency though, which is good. Other companies are offering security through graded listings kind of like how EQONEX is listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange which is a great example of how to provide trust and incentive to investors.

But while ideas like these are great for business, there is still a problem unsolved. These projects have to work extra hard now to gain trust. And we all know that new projects can't always afford stuff like this.

These shit coins will be the end of the crypto market if no one takes action against them smh...

    Weird XLM discrepancy

    Posted: 08 Jul 2021 02:10 PM PDT

I am looking at coinmarketcap and binance.com and XLM looks to be around .244 on each of those exchanges right now. Meanwhile over at Binance.us XLM is ranging between .26 and .31 for the last few hours which is ultra confusing to me. There is $2m of daily volume on .us so I don't think that is the cause.

I know that exchanges are not connected, even binance.us and .com, but this seems too big of a difference to be random to me. Is there a reason I am missing that people aren't arbitraging this between exchanges? An 8% difference across exchanges looks to me like it could be a decent comeup; I might give it a shot on a small amount now.
