solved (Re-sync to blockchain, replace new .dat wallet file with old backup.)

So I'm using the Litecoin core wallet, and I hwas experiencing issues. I backed up my wallet on an encrypted drive, and proceeded to reinstall the litecoin core. Now I am confused as to how I can "restore" my wallet file onto the re-installed litecoin core wallet. Please help
