Why is it taking so long to transfer LTC?

I transfered some LTC yesterday and it took about an hour to get the transaction confirmed. I'm talking about the 6 confirmations required. Why is it taking so long? And is it always this long to get a transaction confirmed?

Litecoin mining - what the freak is going on?

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 08:45 PM PDT

So in the past 2 weeks litecoin network hash rate has gone from 345,000 GHash/s to 145,000 GHash/s with a current decrease in mining difficulty reaching 7800, which is crazy compared to the 12,000 last week!

Do you think its chinas mining farms temporarily migrating abroad, so offline??? Who knows haha
