3080 gaming OC are god tier cards after thermal pad swaps Posted: 18 Jun 2021 02:10 PM PDT 107.1 MH/s stable with the air cooler 84°C memory (+2000 mem OC) temps while mining, 75% fan speed. adding 3mm pads and switching out the 2mm pads with gelid ones is easy and takes less than 15 mins [link] [comments]

Identifying Light Hash Rate Cards, and their usefulness Posted: 18 Jun 2021 03:18 PM PDT So the Nvidia market has gotten more confusing with the release of new cards that are hash rate limited. I've read that the limit only applies to mining Ethereum? If that's the case, won't hash rate limited cards be just as useful mining whatever crypto becomes the leading PoW coin after eth goes 2.0 as non-limited cards? What's an easy way to identify LHR cards, so i can avoid them if i have the choice? [link] [comments]

pinout/breakout for HP 499243-B21 Posted: 18 Jun 2021 09:35 AM PDT hi guys i am trying to find a pin out diagram for server psu HP 499243-B21 but cant seam to find it also i cant find a breakout either i would prefer a pinout as i want to use it with my motherboard not big rig but future proofing as it costs 10$ more than cheapest 700w i could find :) thanks in advance for helping me find a diagram [link] [comments]
What can I mine with a Quadro 2000 Posted: 18 Jun 2021 05:53 AM PDT I just ended up with 3 Quadro 2000's. I have one set up on HiveOS minding ETH but doesn't even show up with a hash rate. Kinda odd because the card still gets hot. Is there anything nat all I can use these cards for? Assuming I have free power. [link] [comments]
Any lists for best 3080's and 3090's? Posted: 17 Jun 2021 04:52 PM PDT Looked through the wiki and found nothing maybe because they are too recent? Asking because I had the opportunity to grab the palit gamerock 3090 for £2300 which is significantly higher than the FE, Im aware the aftermarket are known to have better fans but would be nice to see overall performance of all aftermarkets vs founders edition Thanks [link] [comments]

Power supply specification and safety Posted: 17 Jun 2021 08:00 PM PDT Hey guys I wanted to come and ask a couple of questions regarding splitters and safety. I am well aware not to power risers with sata and to try to stay away from molex, which is completely fine for me. I am having difficulty calculating the total output of Pcie 8 pin cables and their maximum rated power draw. Keeping into account the 80% rule. I have a EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G5 that has 3 8 pin pcie cables. I need to power 2 risers and one 3060(single 8pin) and one 3070ti (double 8pin) Would it be safe to use 2 splitters? 1 8 pin strand to the 3070ti 1 8 pin split to double 8 pin powering 3070ti and riser 1 8 pin split to dual 8 pin to power 3060 and riser I can't figure out if the 8 pin will be capable of supplying a max of 300w or 192w Any help would be appreciated thank you! Posted: 17 Jun 2021 02:06 PM PDT This might sound like a stupid question but why does everybody calculate profit from gpu wattage only? I've seen a lot of ROI and profit calculators only factor in the energy usage from the GPUs. I know they're the main sourfe but for example, I have two rigs. Rig 1 is my gaming rig which I mine in off hours and it has an Rtx 2080 super which hogs about 160-170w, however the whole rig when mining draws about 240-270 depending on algorithm Rig 2 is 3x580 4gb which is currently mining RVN. Each card draws just over 100w each but the entire rig drawers about 550w. That's like 3 extra GPUs worth of energy being drawn overall. Is it that my power consumption is abomrmally high or is there something I'm missing? [link] [comments]
2x PCI-E 8 pins, can I power 2x 3080 or 1x 3080 + 1x 3060 Ti Posted: 17 Jun 2021 03:09 PM PDT I have an 850w OEM PSU, it only came with 2 PCI-E 8 pin cables. Is 850w enough for 2x 3080? What can I do about the power cables cuz I need 3 or 4 8 pins but I only have 2, each is connected individually to the PSU. OEM 3080 and the 3060 Ti is a founders edition. [link] [comments]
Any other coins have a similar algorithm as ERG where cards with HBM do well? Posted: 17 Jun 2021 01:23 PM PDT I currently have 6 Vega56 cards mining ERG and I am curious if anyone knows if there are any other coins out there that have a similar algorithm that cards like the Vega 56/64 do well with because of their High Bandwidth Memory. I really like ERG and probably won't be switching but I'm curious nonetheless. [link] [comments] |
