Posted: 22 Jun 2021 02:00 PM PDT Bought crypto at a great dip. Now what ? How do you keep your coins safe ? Now that the markets are dipping, I felt this would be a good time to post about how to keep our crypto safe as we expect the veterans to pull in their friends and family into the crypto markets. This will help all the newbies navigate the security measures in cryptoverse.
Please feel free to add anything that I may have missed. Cheers ! [link] [comments]

How does smart contracts enable automation that centralized institutions can't do? Posted: 23 Jun 2021 05:56 AM PDT How does smart contracts automate processes like the clearing house in finance or reduce the cost of delays between buyers and sellers that the traditional non-blockchain automation can't do? I understand that the smart contracts on a blockchain can reduce the "cost of trust" by making the transactions more transparent, but the automation can be done in a centralized institutions as well. Could someone explain it in layman's terms? Thank you. [link] [comments]
Ethereum’s London Hardfork Ready to Drop on the Ropsten Testnet Posted: 23 Jun 2021 09:26 AM PDT Hi guys! The London Hardfork is scheduled for June 24th on the Ropsten testnet, giving the Ethereum community a taste of the controversial update. Lead project developer Tim Beiko told Accointing.com " We want to see the upgrade live on a proper network to make sure everything works smoothly before scheduling it for mainnet. " Typically, after the release of hardforks on the Ropsten testnet and Ethereum mainnet investor reaction is bearish, as anxiety and fear of the unknown cause selling pressure. After the Berlin Hardfork arrived on Ropsten it took approximately two weeks to reverse the downward trend. On June 22nd ETH's RSI score dipped to 31, just tending into oversold territory, indicating that wary investors are looking to shed the coin. Following the mainnet release, EIP-1559 is expected to have a deflationary impact on ETH long-term, potentially increasing its value by tightening supply. What are you guys expecting from the London Hardfork arriving on Ropsten? And what do you think will happen to ETH after its mainnet release? Staking coins on Kraken vs "you do not leave your coins on the exchange" Posted: 23 Jun 2021 12:21 AM PDT So I invested in ETH and I would like to know what people think about stacking on Kraken or other third-party platforms. I read only two opinions: "not your key not your coins" and the other is "if you are not stacking you lose money". I don't have 32 ETH to stack for ETH 2.0. So in my case, I would have to use a third-party platform to stack. But it feels somehow counterintuitive to send my coins back from my offline wallet to Kraken to stack on an exchange service. What are your opinions on that worth or don't risk it at all? [link] [comments] |
