Remember the guys post from a few weeks back about his business officially supporting payments in BCH, one of only 19 in Germany? Well I interviewed him if you're interested in reading...

    Hello Bitcoincashers,

My name is Andrei, I started this thing called Crypto Fireside. It's a blog on Medium where I interview people from the Cryptocurrency "industry", if you can call it that.

I just got done interviewing a young German entrepreneur by the name of Christian (you may know him as u/evens2out) about his music and lighting business and how he's begun accepting Bitcoin Cash.

I actually stumbled across his post where he talked about being one of only 19 businesses in Germany, on the Bitcoin.comMaps app to begin accepting Bitcoin Cash and decided to reach out and talk to him about his ventures.

u/evens2out is not a native English speaker and so we went back and forth some but ended up getting it done. His English is far better than my German!

If you don't want to go over to Medium to read the interview, I will post some of it below (I won't post all of it because it'll just be a wall of text otherwise) he actually gives a shout out to this sub.

For those wanting to read the whole thing, here is a link. It is what Medium calls a 'friends link' which means you can always read this for free behind their paywall with that link.

I use the BitCoin.Com wallet to pay with Bitcoin Cash (BCH). The good thing in my field of work is that my customers usually pay when they are picking up the rented goods or in my presence (at weddings a DJ usually gets an envelope with cash). That's why I can conveniently offer the QR code for the wallet address and inform them that there is a discount of up to 10% for paying with cryptocurrency. I help customers to set up their first wallet if they are interested in the topic but cannot yet pay with BCH.

My latest customer actually paid in BCH! I offered them a 10% discount on two jugs of fog fluid and he took the deal. He actually reminded me of my past self. I was quite interested in the Bitcoin topic back in 2013 but never had enough motivation to get my head into it. After setting up his wallet and showing him how to keep his coins safe and secure he made his first test transaction and was hooked!

For parties and bars, I have prepared a small graphic that guests can use to donate tips in BCH (provided that the host is cool with me receiving tips from the guests, at some occasions tipping would be a no go). A simple QR Code refers to the wallet.

There's no reason other business owners and entrepreneurs can't begin accepting Bitcoin Cash and other cryptocurrencies, the process is really simple and there's always someone you can ask for help if you are stuck such as the people on the Bitcoin Cash subreddit.

Since setting Winter-Team up to accept Bitcoin Cash it only took me a couple weeks to find my first paying customer and I think that in the end, it will help me to differentiate myself from competitors.

I love talking to entrepreneurs, especially the guys willing to dip their toes into the world of crypto.

This guy has a successful future ahead of him I think.

    Why Cryptocurrencies?: Looking for reviews

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 11:36 AM PDT

My book about p2p digital cash has been released successfully, but I need your help. I'm missing reviews on the big sites, so if you've read the book, please consider leaving a review. I hate to ask it like this, but it would be really helpful.

You can leave a review at Amazon, Goodreads or wherever you bought the book. And if you haven't bought the book, the whole book is also available online for free!

    Questions about wallets

    Posted: 14 Jun 2021 09:04 PM PDT

    Hi,

I bought a BCH a month ago. This is my first crypto-investment. I have been holding my BCH on binance. I decided to move to wallet. I found the site https://cashaddress.org on https://bitcoincash.org. It seems fair and secure(Is it?).

    1. When i create a wallet, how can i be sure that site is not saving private and public key under their database.
    2. I use public key to transfer my BCH from coinbase. All is good till here. How do i transfer money from that wallet. Third-party apps give easy interface for transfer. How can i make transfer while having only private and public key?
    3. How can i generate address without using any website or apps?

    Thanks in advance
