Posted: 02 May 2021 07:33 AM PDT Hello! I just wanted to ask since I've got a problem with my rig and I have no idea what's going on. I'm using NiceHash regular miner. So my 1660s started mining this March 25 and around the 3rd week of April it started having some problems. The first OC I did on it was on the pictures below, the only thing I've changed was I replaced the 1650 super that was mining along with it for a 1060 6GB. On the 3rd week of April, i saw that my rig crashed, I restarted it and when it booted back up I saw the 1660s doing 6-7MH/s. I fiddled with the OC settings and the next picture is the current one, I'm getting 30-32MH/s on it before but after it crashed I only get 28-29MH/s. Also whenever I try to put the power limit below 80 it goes back to 6-7MH/s. What are your thoughts on this one? Thank you in advance for people that'll respond! [link] [comments]

Mining software thinks I've got 2 GPUs instead of 1 and I've got much lower hashrates Posted: 02 May 2021 06:52 AM PDT Hey guys, Very new to mining. Doing it at night to heat my room and making some $ on the side. Today my Vega 64 (Normally gets ~38-40MH/s) is appearing as 2 GPUs in both lolminer and phoenixminer, with drastically lower hashrates than before as seen in the second picture. I've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers using DDU with no success. Only one GPU is showing up in device manager. https://i.imgur.com/gYsYXrd.png https://i.imgur.com/Brv1zDe.png Any ideas? Specs: RX Vega 64, Corsair RM750i, Crosshair VI hero (top PCIe x16 slot), lolminer/phoenixminer, 1100MHz memory with rest of settings stock [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 May 2021 06:45 AM PDT Good day miners! Im fairly new to mining, about a week old and using nicehash for mining. I'm currently rocking a 3x 1660(non super) / OC Settings = mem clock +800 core clock +200/ Hashrate of 79.22 1x 3060(non ti) zotac twin blade GPU / OC Settings = mem clock +1240 and core clock = 204 with dummy hdmi and 470.05 driver / Hashrate 0f 43.30 My current hashrate is 123.02 and average daily revenue of 10.36USD My questions are is it okay if I'm running 2 mining algorithm? for my 3x1660 gpus my current algo is daggerhashimoto = NBminer and for my 3060 is Octopus = NBminer. Does having 2 algorithms affect your daily revenue? How can I achieve a 40.00 plus hashrate using daggerhashimoto with my 3060? currently its just generating a 25mhs. Are my OC settings okay for my current rig? I noticed that my mining algorithms keeps restarting every 4-6hours of mining is it normal or I should changed some of my OC settings? last question Is 10.36USD average daily income low for my current setup? thanks in advance and happy mining! Hashrate significantly lower while dual mining ETH and ZIL. Posted: 02 May 2021 06:27 AM PDT T-rex miner2080 GeForce 8gb OC Profile MSI AfterBurner:-200 Core Clock +1200 mhz Mem 56% Power Limit 68% Fan Speed Average ETH HAshrate: 44.70MH/s Average Hashrate dual mining: 30MH/s The problem is that the ethermine pool shows a much lower hashrate (the one calculated by the amount of valid shares) than the reported hashrate on the mining program itself AND ShardPool doesn't show my hashrate on shardpool.io. I understand that this type od dual mining isn't lik good 'ol ETH/DCR, more so this stops the ETH mining for a little bit every hour-ish to mine ZIL. So, does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this? Simple things to look at? [link] [comments]

Mining with 2 different graphics cards on a Mini-ITX Motherboard via x16 slot ngff adapter m.2 to x1 Posted: 02 May 2021 02:36 AM PDT Hey there As i have a x570 mini-Itx Motherboard left i am planning to build a new computer with a custom watercooling loop. The computer should not be a pure mining rig but also work as a gaming computer from time to time. Long story short. I am planning to put 2 Graphics cards into that build, one via the x16 slot and the other through an m.2 to x1 adapter. I have gtx 1080 ti already with me now i am planning to buy the second card. I would either go with a second 1080 Ti or move to a 2080 ti (both with waterblock). Is it possible to install two differenr Nvidia Drivers (one for the 1080ti and the other for the 2080 Ti) and running both of them simultaneously without problems. Or should i stick with a second 1080Ti which surely will work? Not sure what to decide.. Best Regards [link] [comments]
Awesome miner log files: usable to solve issues? Posted: 02 May 2021 12:42 AM PDT Hello, in using awesome miner, and every few hrs it stops mining. Btw It's on profit switching. So I'm thinking one specific miner and/or specific algo - are having issues. Therefore I'd like to find those specifically, and check if turning them off would solve the problems. Can I find those 2 pieces of info in the AM logs? If so - where can I find the relevant log file, and where in it should I see the relevant info? Thanks! [link] [comments]

What determines the MTP hashrate? Posted: 01 May 2021 10:28 PM PDT I'm wondering what the MTP algo utilizes (ie ethash uses memory, kah pow uses mem and core). [link] [comments]
Zotac 3070 Nicehash Rig Manager "High" Settings Fan at 100% Posted: 01 May 2021 09:41 PM PDT Hi all, I have added a Zotac 3070 to my PC for mining and have set it to run on "High" optimization settings via Nicehash rig miner. It is getting 61 deg. temp and 59 deg. vram temp. 0.5MH/J and 60MH which I am very happy with. However the problem is fans are running at 100% on this card. My other 3060ti card is getting simliar temps and hash but with fans only running at 58%. Is there any way to adjust the fan speed only as I prefer to run with the Nicehash rig manager settings generally, have found them to be quite good compared to the results I get with afterburner on my 3060ti? Cheers [link] [comments]
Random Phoenix Miner error - “Press any key to continue. . .” Posted: 01 May 2021 09:27 PM PDT I've been mining on my ASUS TUF 3080 for about 2 weeks now. Starting today, I randomly started getting this error on Phoenix Miner. I tried running DDU and reinstalling the newest drivers but it didn't help. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? I haven't changed the OC at all. It's currently at -425 core and 1150 mem, 75 C power limit. 100% fan speed, 50 C core temp, 96 C mem temp. [link] [comments]

Installing (and loading) both amdgpu and nvidia drivers on the same machine Posted: 01 May 2021 04:35 PM PDT I am attempting to get both Nvidia and AMD cards running on my ASUS B250 Mining Expert motherboard running Ubuntu 20.04.2 on the 5.4.0-42-generic kernel. I posted on a couple of Ubuntu forums but since this really is something that most non-miners would run into I figured I would ask here as well. Does anyone have any experience/advice on getting both brands running on the same machine? Full details of what I have done and the results here: Installing (and loading) both amdgpu and nvidia drivers on the same machine Thanks! [link] [comments]
