Posted: 02 Apr 2021 10:51 AM PDT I was recently curious about Litecoin's ATH and saw that it hit $371 on 19 December 2017 (https://www.coinhouse.com/litecoin-price/). As I looked back at my LTC order history, it shows that I actually bought some LTC at this price. What a complete act of FOMO on my part! I mean, what are the chances? I continued buying some LTC in the weeks surrounding, paying between $300-$371 a coin. I was only buying fractional, but still. Then everyone knows what happened after that...it went down. Way down. I was too bummed to even sell, but I was even more bummed to continue checking the price, so I let it sit and didn't bother to look into my account again until a few months ago, when of course it started rising after years of it being so low. And to think all this time I could've been DCA! So I've recently started to buy LTC again. I think I'm still overall down but getting closer to a break even point. I'm not really worried because my plan is to continue holding and maybe adding more if it goes below $200 again, but geez, what a missed opportunity on my part by ignoring crypto for many years. I guess at least I didn't sell for a loss, so I technically haven't lost anything. Not sure of the point of this post, except to say I'm glad I found this sub because it's given me renewed interest in crypto and litecoin. So, thanks everyone! [link] [comments]

[Unpopular opinion] Embrace for another crash like 2018! Posted: 02 Apr 2021 03:09 AM PDT In a perfect ungreedy world Satoshi nakamoto found the way. Finally since the bartering times from the tribes of mesopotamia, somebody found a decentralized way of trading and owning completely an economic asset. Finally the unfairness of being born in a country with corrupt politicians, unstable economic systems and little opportunities, could be equalized around the world. Finally the people could take ownership of their money. But this is not a perfect world, and as much as we complain of the governments, politicians, wall street... We are no much better than them. If just a 10% (random unproved statistic:)) of the people in the cryptoworld were here for the "cause" and not for greedines, we would not have had so many huge blood baths in the past, so much volatily and instability in the market. This alt season is proving me right. New coins coming up, with almost no development, are mooning, while much more mature projects with many developers and people backing them up are stuck. We are making the same mistake as in 2014 and 2018, and we will get the same result. It does not take only one visionary to change things. We need to open our eyes too and not only our pockets. Posted: 02 Apr 2021 07:41 AM PDT So I guess it's official, "Bitcoin lite" was an April fools joke. .... I was pretty sure, but who really knew .... this world has gone crazy so I never assume anything these days! [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Apr 2021 06:07 PM PDT Looking for crypto friends to learn from :) Hi guys what's going on. Recently I've been getting super addicted to crypto. I'm only 20 and don't have a very high paying job but every 2 weeks just about every penny I earn goes into tokens. Im super new, only been in crypto for a couple months now but I'm obsessed and really want to learn more. I guess what I'm looking for is a link to a discord/Reddit/etc community that I can learn from. I have a good understanding of the basics like moving averages, rsi, volume and all those fundamentals. What I have a hard time with is finding gems before they blow, as well as when new coins are launching. I also don't really have a strategy. I just buy low and hodl but I just really want to get more informed. I want to get serious with crypto and I'm hoping for some like minded individuals that could point me in the right direction. I have no problem with subscribing to a patreon or something like that, but I don't want any "moon 100000x" bullshit I keep seeing. I'm looking for a realistic, transparent community where I can learn and discuss. If anyone's interested or has any tips, that would be much appreciated. Thank you [link] [comments]
new lite coin wallet /recovery Posted: 01 Apr 2021 10:19 PM PDT Hello, I could use a little help. My old wallet was corrupted and maybe out of date so I downloaded the new wallet. I went to bed. When I woke up and it was finished and everything seemed fine. I later shut down my PC. As the PC was closing a warning came on the screen regarding the litecoin app and I tried to cancel but I was too late. I'm now concerned that I overlooked a step. There was no prompt but maybe I should have changed my passphrase and the old encryption key to the new style before turning off the PC.? The wallet is now locked, however I can see my coins and navigate thru the wallet. I tried to send litecoin to another wallet with the old six word passphrase but it didn't work. I still have my old private key in possession but am not sure if that will work for anything anymore. Is there still a way that I can recover my wallet and coins? I read something about going to the console and dumping the private key. but am uncertain about doing that as I don't understand what that accomplishes. I'm intimidated with concern of losing my coin or screwing up the wallet. [link] [comments]
How to get a (Visa) Litecoin Card Posted: 01 Apr 2021 05:53 PM PDT So I just signed up in the app and transferred all my LTC to my Litewallet. I really like the Visa card how can I get one or will I automatically get one in the mail from when I signed up? It said that I needed a minimum of $10 to start so I transferred over my LTC but I'm a bit confused on how I sign up for the card. When I go to the website it says to register now but I'm already in the system so I have no idea how to get the Visa card. Any information helps thanks in advance🙏🏼 [link] [comments]
API HTTP 400 When trying to send Litecoin Posted: 01 Apr 2021 03:37 PM PDT Firmware up to date. Ledger Live software up to date. I have unistalled the app and reinstalled. Same error message. I just sent some last night without any trouble and I haven't done anything different in the meantime. Ledger Nano S FYI I just sent Bitcoin on the device so that is working. It is Litecoin related.
