    I've been in crypto for a few years originally dabbling in Ether and other Erc-20 tokens. Specifically I bought OXT and GRT made a lil $$$. But I have now sold all my crypto in order to go all in on BCH. What do you people think BCH can get up to $ wise? Specifically this year. Thanks!

    BCH Unlimited Ubuntu PPA repo updated to version 1.9.2

    The BCH Unlimited Ubuntu PPA repository has been updated to serve version 1.9.2 is available at:

    This release is compatible the Bitcoin Cash protocol. To update already installed packages:

     

    sudo apt update sudo apt upgrade

     

    To install

     

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bitcoin-unlimited/bucash sudo apt-get update sudo apt install bitcoind bitcoin-qt

     

    starting from this update the repository is serving also ElectrsCash(**) v3.0.0, for now just for the amd64 architecture. To install it just execute this command:

    sudo apt install electrscash

    Support for Ubuntu Trusty 14.04 has been dropped (even thou gitian binaries are still working for that ubuntu version).

    On Ubuntu 16.04 (xenial) you need to install a new PPA dependency 

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:savoury1/gcc-defaults-7 sudo apt update sudo apt dist-upgrade sudo apt install bitcoind

     

    (**) ElectrsCash is an efficient re-implementation of Electrum Server written in Rust.

    Tokenomics Question from BCH (and crypto) Newbie

    Hi All,

    I'm relatively new to crypto and am considering adding some BCH to my modest portfolio (I intended to buy the dip at $740 yesterday, but got distracted with my kids and missed the opportunity). I've read up on BCH and I'm very impressed with its peer-to-peer capabilities, especially with the new SmartBCH protocol. There is a serious real world use case for this coin, and that will be exponentially greater if SmartBCH really takes off!

    My question is what the community generally thinks about the short/long term price/value of BCH relative to BTC. As far as I can tell, the price is heavily correlative to BTC, although it's not 100%. I saw that in early April BCH went up 160% while BTC went up 80%. Is the prevailing thought on here that BCH will generally move up or down with BTC, but (hopefully) with higher % increases like a few weeks ago? I understand that generally the entire crypto market moves up/down with BTC, but I guess my question is whether the community sees a point at which will BCH move based on its own merits (which I think are better than BTC's now that I've done some research).

    I also want to take this opportunity to say this seems to be one of the nicest/most supportive reddit communities I've come across - I've never seen tipping before! Even if it's only $.20, what an awesome gesture (although I saw someone got $20k as a tip haha)!
