NVIDIA said 2 of their CMP mining-only gpu models would launch Q1. With one day left of Q1, when is the launch date for these cards?

    Posted: 30 Mar 2021 06:52 AM PDT

So nvidia announced a few months back that they were releasing mining only gpus called CMPs to miners starting in Q1 with 2 models, and another 2 higher performing models in q2.

    Official Website: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/cmp/

So... Uh... Hey Nvidia, where are these cards? When is the actual launch date? Since you never seemed to announce one, just "Q1," and well that's almost over. Are these CMPs even real?

It ain’t much, but it’s honest work. 3x RTX 2060 mobiles totaling 100 MH. 90w per GPU. Windows OS services stripped down and all unnecessary laptop hardware disabled. Only tweak is +1,000 MHz on the gpu memory. Unable to reduce core speed without deterioration in hash rate.

Has anyone test Resizable BAR with mining?

    Posted: 30 Mar 2021 07:51 AM PDT

NVIDIA partners started releasing drivers with Resizable BAR support, has anyone tested if it has any impact in mining?

New nvidia drivers, resizeable BAR vbios update - has mining been affected in any way?

    Posted: 30 Mar 2021 07:45 AM PDT

Hey guys, Has anyone flashed the new vbios with reBAR support on any of the 3000 series cards? I'm really curious if they tried to smuggle something in to curb mining, or if because of reBAR itself the performance is better or worse.

    How to withdraw from Betterhash

    Posted: 30 Mar 2021 03:57 AM PDT

    Hey guys,

I've been mining for about 5 days now and collected approximately 10 USD. I use Betterhash, and I don't know how to use the crypto that I mined (I want to buy gift cards from bitrefill.com). I downloaded Exodus and linked it to my Betterhash but the minimum BTC to withdraw is 0.0010, I only have around 0.000167. Is there any way I could possibly withdraw the money faster? Thanks in advance.

I also heard that NiceHash is better, but now as I already have some BTC on Betterhash, can I transfer it somehow? Is NiceHash easier to Withdraw than Betterhash?

What can one do against dust on your mining rig? (open frame)

    Posted: 30 Mar 2021 06:03 AM PDT

    Hi,

I recently started mining with 7 GPU. There is one in my gaming PC and there are 6 in an open frame. It is running now for like a week or so, and I recently realized it is collecting dust really really fast.

    Any tool/product/trick against dust?

Restart and start mining again automatically and regularly?

    Posted: 30 Mar 2021 05:03 AM PDT

Hello I'm visiting my parents this Easter and would like my gaming rig to mine while I'm gone. I don't expect any power outage, but my pc may freeze at some point. So I was thinking I could possibly set my pc to hard reset and automatically log in and start over like once a day? I know there are wifi remote controlled outlets that I could get, but can I set it up with just windows 10? For mining in using nice hash

Setting up asus rog strix b450 mb with 2 nvidia rtx cards

    Posted: 30 Mar 2021 04:35 AM PDT

    Hello,

My problem is whenever i want to boot my pc with a second rtx card (3080,3070), it wont boot up at all and the mb led stays white with all the fans spinning... I tried all slot combinations w/wo risers or extenders.. I managed to boot up the pc once with a 3080(pcie16)/rx580(on pcie riser) combination however it seemed laggy and glitched so I restarted the pc and it didnt boot up anymore.. Anyone has any suggetions? The Psu is a modular 1000w 80+gold one used with two splitters. I know I cant use the two cards in sli, i want to use one for gaming/editing and the other for mining.

    Any tips are welcome!

    rx 570,580 4gb 26mh on ETH.

    Posted: 29 Mar 2021 09:16 PM PDT

Not sure if this is new to the sub but Rabid Mining through discord found a simple way to get the 4gb cards mining at 26mh again.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-zAJq0cj6A&ab_channel=RabidMining

Basically just plug the card in the 16x port and hashaway using TeamRed, personally, it worked for me using Lolminer on SMOS,also I'm hitting somewhere around 20mh but this is from 5 minutes of trying. Hopefully this is useful.

How can I remove the 1500 memory OC limit in Afterburner?

    Posted: 29 Mar 2021 05:07 PM PDT

I have a Strix 3090 currently hashing at 125mh with the memory OC stable for days at +1500. I have a few really old cpu coolers on the backplate with some thermal compound and my junction temp is a constant 86°. I think I have room to push it further but I'm at the limit in Afterburner and I'll never know unless I can find out how to remove the limit?

    Anyone know?

Flash bios on 5700XT on gaming rig?

    Posted: 29 Mar 2021 05:36 PM PDT

Will flashing the bios on my 5700XT (gigabyte) be detrimental for when I use it for gaming? Research is giving me conflicting information about the pros/cons. The card is in my gaming rig and I mine when not in use, and i don't want to gimp the gaming performance for a small bump in hash.

3090 Pin 3 is only drawing 30W. How do I fix this? Everything appears to be wired properly on a 1000W psu with only the 1 gpu on it. Hashrate is dropped significantly.

    1080 bad hash rate ?

    Posted: 29 Mar 2021 04:35 PM PDT

i have a rig with a 1080 and a 1060.. the 1080 was hashing at 20-22.. while the 1060 was hashing at 24.. Not sure why the 1080 is doing so bad. I tried overclocking with MSI.. brought the memory core to 1000, and the most the 1080 would go to is 25hash (for ethereum btw).

Now I just heard of ethlargement pill.. wow wish I was using this before. Used it on the 1080, brought it up to 36 and thats with using msi after burner overclock. Should I be able to go higher.. since without the pill, it wasn't hashing at what it should, which apparently is 34.

Which now leads me to a few more final questions.. whats better for the card.. having a lower power limit while getting a reasonable hash.. or should I be keeping the power limit at 100, and lowering the coreclock to -50- 100 -150.. whats better for the card, undervolting the core or having the power limiter down.

I did a bench mark, it scored well, I check the temps, the 1080 doesn't go higher then 65c.. so it shouldn't be a thermal paste issue right.. what's going on?

Without the ethlargement pill, and just overclocking, shouldn't the 1080 be doing at least 30?
