    Missing BCH

    Posted: 03 Mar 2021 01:41 PM PST

I sent about $300 worth of BCH to an address that I can no longer access but it cams from my wallett. I have talked to the support team from the app but they have been of no help. Any ideas on how I can get my money back?

    BCH Scalability thoughts, simple math

    Posted: 03 Mar 2021 11:41 AM PST

Doing my research before investing in BCH: Blocksize and therefore fees is always the front argument for BCH. So let's assume BCH will be successful and it is used everywhere by everyone. We have many transactions and the chain blocks are always filled up to the limit.

    I just did some Math basics for in case to calculate the yearly block size: 32MB x 6(blocks an hour) x 24(hours a day) x 365(days a year) = 1.681.920Megabytes a year!

That means the Blockchain would grow 1600 Terrabytes a year? I mean what? This would totally kill Decentralisation..... Nearly nobody can afford to have a full copy of the Blockchain and we would have Centralisation again...

Is there something simple I cannot see or is the big block size potentially a problem for BCH?

Are Electron Cash seeds based on a common standard?

    Posted: 02 Mar 2021 07:38 PM PST

I know current versions of Electrum use BIP39 words in their seed phrases, but the seed overall is not using the BIP39 standard when creating a new wallet. In other words, you need to keep this in mind when trying to restore the seed to a different wallet app. How are things with Electron Cash?

For example, does Electron Cash only use BIP39 words where only the first 4 characters are enough to know the correct word? And is the phrase following the BIP39 standard, meaning it can be restored on other BIP39 BCH wallets(assuming they exist)? Or can it only be restored on Electron Cash? I'm wondering if there are any details I should note when backing up my seed phrase for a wallet I create in Electron Cash.
