HwInfo64 New Memory Junction Temperature and Concerns for gddr6x 3000 series cards. Posted: 03 Feb 2021 07:54 AM PST I've seen very little discussed on this but have read an article where people had similar results. I have a Gigabyte Aorus Master RTX 3080 on a dedicated mining rig and have been running a -150 core clock +900 memory clock at 70% power limit at highs to 95/MH but will drop to 80 stating high temp throttling. Gpu never gets above 51 C but now that I've updated HwInfo64 it shows memory junction temp at 112 C. Ambient room temperature is not hot. I have ordered some thermal pads to attempt to place them on the memory on the backplate and am confident I can do that. Does anyone have any advice or info on this? Will this help with temps? I've heard anything over 95 C is unsafe for memory. Is that true? It seems these cards even with gaming get to 100 C. Has anyone had card failure while mining with these cards? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]

Help building an aluminum 6 RTX/GTX GPUs mining frame Posted: 03 Feb 2021 02:58 AM PST Hi guys, Pretty sure this has been asked a lot. Anyone got measurements on a mining frame I can build using aluminum? I just wanna be able to give out the measurements to the person building it. Would really appreciate it. Thanks [link] [comments]

3060ti Core clock drop @ 64% PL Posted: 03 Feb 2021 03:36 AM PST Just noticed alittle issue with my palit 3060ti. Whenever i reduce the PL below 65% the core clocks drop right off. From 1150 down to 700 is this normal? Its my top card in a 3 card rig. ( 2 inside case) its running temp is between 53 and 58 degrees [link] [comments]

Is there a decent closed rig in europe? Posted: 03 Feb 2021 08:32 AM PST Currently using a 3060 and 3080 in a normal pc case. Works fine but Id like to get more cards . Since its at home and i have a toddler, an open rig is out of the picture . I'd like to build a closed rig with 4-6 gpu , 3060,3070 or 3080. Depends on what I can get my hands on. I'd get decent fans but the rif should be closed. Is there a decent case for this ? I have seen some case from rosewill but they seem not to sell in europe. [link] [comments]

Better mining efficiency for RX 570 8GB? Posted: 02 Feb 2021 10:21 PM PST Hello, I have a rig of 13 RX 570s (MSI Armor and Gigabyte 8GB versions). I'm using hiveOS (which has been really helpful) and I've managed to get ~30 MH/s for each card. I've applied timings for both Samsung and Micron memory. Here's my OC/UV settings: Core clock: 1100 Mhz My wall power draw is ~1540W, which gives me around 0.25 MH/W. I read that some folks managed to get ~31.5 MH/s for the same power draw. I tried to get ~30.5, but it seems to lower my efficiency. Is this the max I can go? Or should I be trying more? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Feb 2021 07:41 PM PST What's the max temp I should let me GPU's get to in order to make sure they last as long as possible? [link] [comments]

For those who couldn't get ETH Pill working with 1080Ti Posted: 02 Feb 2021 05:09 PM PST I tried everything. No matter what I did, the ETH Pill or Straps wouldn't affect my hashrate at all... tried --revA, --revB - no effect, tried putting the gpu fans to 100% just to check if it was thermal throttling - no effect, tried admin rights, disabling P2 state, tried rev1 Pill - no effect. Tried overclocking my Core and memory frequencies - very little effect (probably not because of the eth pill) WHAT DID THE TRICK for me was simply DOWNCLOCKING my memory frequency (-502, down to 5003 MHz), and overclocking the Core slightly ( I put +100 for testers )... This has put my Memory Controller load up to 95%, and my hashrate went from 35-36 to a stable 42-43 MH/s, while temperatures are lower. I can't seem to underclock my memory any further (Afterburther won't let me) - is there any way? Anyway... I was very disappointed thinking I was unlucky with my 1080ti, but now I feel much better. I hope this post makes someone's day better. [link] [comments]
Do you sell currency as you go or do you stockpile and sell later? Posted: 02 Feb 2021 06:31 PM PST Curious what your guys strategy is. Do you sell consistently, or do you hold off for a long time and sell in bulk at a later date for a possibly better rate? [link] [comments]
RX 580 - no video - cant install drivers Posted: 02 Feb 2021 06:10 PM PST Hello guys im having trouble with my rx 580 8gb model. (ASUS OC). It powers up, fans spin normally, but no video. Tried safe mode - recognizes the gpu on device manager - still no video. Tried ddu and install new driver - crashes while installing amd new driver. Black screen then BSOD. Tried it on another computer, same thing happens. Crashes. Ive tried almost everything and im pretty giving up. Can someone help? Any idea of what may be happening with it? Unable to get back my hashrate after adding a second GPU Posted: 02 Feb 2021 01:00 PM PST Hi, I added a 1060 to my mini rig with a 1080. I managed to get 38MH/s on the 1080 and now the same setting won't work... Also, when it crashes, T-Rex miner sometimes won't start again telling me NVIDIA drivers aren't installed. I need to reboot or reinstall the drivers... I'm using the latest version of HiveOS, latest version of T-Rex miner and a 860W PSU. Do you have any idea ? Thx [link] [comments]
1070 keeps going offline after fans spike Posted: 02 Feb 2021 05:39 PM PST Hey guys, need some help. My 5th GTX 1070 keeps going offline and fan speeds go to 100%. Seems to be random. Any way to troubleshoot this? I'm pretty new so if you have specific questions I can try to answer them. It happens regardless of miner, I've tried TRex, Ethminer, Phoenix, etc. [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Feb 2021 05:37 PM PST Since yesterday i used to mine on a RX 580 and i could easily watch videos or do other stuff in the meantime Today i got a 3070 and i can barely do nothing when i mine, even if i reduce the intensity Is this an NVIDIA issue? [link] [comments]
What to look out for when selling Mining Towers ? Posted: 02 Feb 2021 05:15 PM PST Title. Basically I got 3 Mining Towers as a gift. Two of them have 8 P106-100 6GB in them (16 in total). The third one I have no clue about. I want to sell them, because I don't have a place for them to stand and run all day long (fans are loud as hell). I have literally 0 knowledge about Mining Towers, but I know what a PC needs to run. Since there are only GPU's in there, I would assume they need a Motherboard to run. I googled but I couldn't really get a proper answer, so maybe someone here can evaluate the worth of these towers. What would be a fair price to sell these towers ? 8x P106-100 6GB per Tower Edit: I found out that all 3 Towers have something called a riserless mining Motherboard, with 8 GPU Slots. One of them even has a 240GB SSD. [link] [comments]

How does one OC a gtx 1080 while running ETHlargment pill Posted: 02 Feb 2021 02:45 PM PST I was able to push 36mh by following the order of Oc -> start miner -> open Pill, but that lasted only about 10 minutes and my miner crashes, I wasn't able to do it anymore. Are there any other methods to achieve that? Windows 10 gtx 1080 silverstone 600w I was doing 100 power lim, 80c max temp, +200 clock, +950 mem Im mining for Nicehash currently [link] [comments]
