Posted: 02 Feb 2021 06:47 PM PST What does it do? Why is it important? What are the benefits of holding it? What is the potential of it? Is it like a decentralized global computer or something? Any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm super curious because I was looking to maybe put some money towards it. [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Feb 2021 12:11 AM PST The ETH network fees are just horrendous. Makes me not want to use it anymore, but all the useful stuff is on ETH blockchain. What do you guys think has the best chance of addressing the high fees... ETH2, DOT, maybe community chains like NANO? I know there are coins like ENOL and GASG that help you get back gas fees, but it would be nice to have a protocol with minimal fees. [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Feb 2021 08:01 PM PST A lot of other cryptocurrencies have developed open source methods for proof-of-stake consensus. If the know-how is already out there, why is the transition so hard? Will Ethereum continue to develop past ETH 2.0? Will it be future proofed against quantum computing, for example? And will it adopt technological advances made by other cryptocurrencies going into the future? How long can ETH holders trust the ETH development community to make the right decisions as far as changing the protocol goes? Can ethereum replace bitcoin as the new de facto digital gold? I want to buy Ether, where should I go? Posted: 02 Feb 2021 05:37 PM PST I want to use an app like coinbase(unless this is the best one) to buy ethereum and transfer it to my wallet upon purchase. Which do you use? Why do you use it? What are the fees involved with the purchase? Thanks hope to hear some great feedback! [link] [comments]

Do you guys also get 30/40$ fees when swapping crypto. Posted: 02 Feb 2021 07:57 AM PST I wanted to swap small amount of ETH on uniswap and im basically getting 40$ swap fee for 10$ worth of ETH is that normal? If yes is there any other way to swap/buy cheap altcoins without paying 20x initial crypto value itself? [link] [comments]

Where is the best place to get involved with the developer community? Posted: 02 Feb 2021 11:15 AM PST I sub here and follow ETH Twitter, I've been learning solidity and I'd like to interact with some other people in the same position I am - I.E other learners, people actively working in the ecosystem or looking to get projects started. Can anybody here provide me with a list of useful places? I've tried searching for Ethereum forums but not had much luck. The ethereum.org forum seems kind of dead. [link] [comments]

Is there a safe platform to bet on the superbowl? Posted: 02 Feb 2021 03:50 PM PST I thought I'd like to place a bet on the superbowl, and remembered Augur, which I've never used, but it's telling me for whatever reason "Reporting only, trading is disabled". Is augur still an active project? Are there better, safe platforms for betting markets? [link] [comments]
