- Using bitcoin cash
- BTC is a store of value... for what? What are you going to do with it? It has no utility. BCH is also a store of value because it has a limited supply of coins. Only 21 million BCH coins. But BCH is actually usable and has utility for all of humanity.

Posted: 15 Feb 2021 01:38 PM PST Yes, I know it is cosy here and there is always a troll you can fight and feel good about. But now is the best time to get out and tell people about Bitcoin Cash. I'm guilty of this too. But adoption doesn't happen on its own. If you are not already familiar with u/chaintip, then get familiar now! It is easy and you can even tip people in censored subs buy sending chaintip the permalink to a post. That said, here are a few tips:

Question about block compression Posted: 15 Feb 2021 08:27 PM PST Regarding BCH, I've recently learned it uses block compression using xthinner. I'm assuming that's a compression algorithm. I saw that it can do, particularly in large blocks, up to 99+% compression. If I understand that correctly, a 1GB block will only take up around 10MB, correct? [link] [comments]

BTC fan here - Interested in BCH... Posted: 16 Feb 2021 02:28 AM PST Hi guys, So I have been in this space a long time, since before BCH was a thing and before ETH was worth double digits. I didn't have a job back then and although I did work as a technical writer for a ERC-20 stable coin back in 2016/2017 I don't have a lot of money in Crypto. When the split happened I sold all my BCH almost immediately, for a value that is much higher than it is now. I assumed that once the hash power chose the chain, that this one would die and become nothing. However, it seems I was wrong. I understand the larger block size argument and to be honest I'm not that bothered by 1mb or 1gb. What does interest me are the other developments I keep hearing about. Other than the blocksize what benefits are there with BCH over BTC? [link] [comments]

Posted: 15 Feb 2021 09:28 AM PST I have been involved in crypto since 2011. I hold many different currencies and do so for varying reasons. I will note, however, that I only use 2 currencies ever. I use ether for donations and I hold it as a 2.0 validator and believer of the ecosystem. I also use Bitcoin cash to make purchases where I can. I do it, because I can and it works. I have noticed one thing about my crypto usage though. When I purchase something with Bitcoin cash, I purchase twice as much Bitcoin cash to replace it. Everything else I have is used up when I sell and I don't buy back in. I didn't do this based on some grand plan, I do this because it seems like it makes the most sense for my situation and I just thought about what that might mean. Bitcoin cash is useful and whatever is useful I want more of, not less. [link] [comments]

Posted: 15 Feb 2021 07:00 PM PST Of course, Bitcoin Cash continued improving and building upon the fact that the white paper was created to solve double-spending, and created the blockchain to minimize the chances of stolen money. We have improved upon the basic idea and created a lot of it. This and the whole cryptocurrency market should've been under the Bitcoin name if they didn't limit things out and rode the waves of time. A lot of stories from early cryptocurrency developers have a common beginning: BTC was too crippled to be used, so they forked the code and rewrote it into their own. Post-Ethereum developers have a similar backstory, but they have focused upon Ethereum and other similar chains. However, amongst all the years-long FUD, we have Bitcoin Cash developers creating something big. How big? Well, we did topple the "malevolent dictator" and BCH development is shared between multiple teams. How many teams? Many. We're still going to get FUD, and BTC (plus the banks) will still send its trolls and haters. But the best course of action is to explain and onboard users that don't know about Bitcoin Cash or cryptocurrencies in general. Get the 99%. We're losing lots of battles, but we're slowly winning the war. [link] [comments]
