Two years ago i was homeless living out of my car. Two weeks ago i was trying to come up with another excuse of why my rent was late. Two days ago i transferred $64,000 in BTC bought in 2013 for $800 that i had cold stored on an 7 year old broken laptop. Bitcoin changed my life.

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 05:57 PM PST

Thank you Bitcoin. This was always in the back of my mind, my emergency fund just incase i couldn't take it anymore. It worked.

For those that have asked for a pic, this was my balance on Binance yesterday...

Nominating Satoshi for Nobel Prize in Economics

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 05:58 PM PST

It's time. Has any figure in our lifetime done more to advance the field of economics than Satoshi? Most past winners dedicate their lives to explaining facets of economic theory. Valuable for sure, but Satoshi built an entirely new system with a remarkably succinct whitepaper that has been proven over a decade to be stable, effective, and has revolutionized the way hundreds of millions interact with money/value. He should be rewarded, even if we never know who they are.

Going all bitcoin from here till I die

If the rich cant play fair, Ill simply take the dollar (their toys) away from them. Fuck this communist planned economy bullshit! Coinbase will be my bank now. Hopefully one day it (Bitcoin) becomes a dollar black hole that swallows the federal reserve itself up.

How can people say that Bitcoin is risky if technically everyone who bought at any point in time is profitable

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 09:17 PM PST

I get how during the earlier days it was more volatile but now I don't see how this is any more risky than buying apple stock, for example.

    Please stop buying Bitcoin!

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 08:10 PM PST

Please, there just aren't enough to go around. There are like 10 billion people around, and only 0.021 billion Bitcoin will ever exist. I heard they can't just print more of this stuff either.

Leave some for the people who need it, you selfish hodlors!

$1.9 Trillion stimulus passed by Congress

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 06:33 AM PST

Not only is this needed for the youngsters suffering from the Covid Great Depression, but this is GREAT news for crypto. It adds to the general drift towards hyperinflation. It is funded by a government loan unpayable on any reasonable timeframe. But also, on the practical side, many Americans invested their $1200 stimulus into BTC back in April 2020. Those that did so are now sitting on nearly $6000. Many may do so again.

    Posted: 06 Feb 2021 02:58 AM PST

Hopefully not too late, but cannot help but feel like I'm throwing money away here as I can only afford to put about £50 a month in, currently on my second month and seeing how long it will take me to get a whole coin, am I just wasting my time?

    $1000 worth of BTC

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 03:25 PM PST

(i am new to crypto) I am a college student and I have some extra savings that I don't really need atm. I intend to invest $1000 in BTC (and probably adding small amounts sometimes) and hodl it for a few years. Is it a good idea?

I am not looking to be a millionaire I just want a few extra thousands by the time I graduate
